This was our second family holiday at the Sun Palace Hotel in Faliraki, Rhodes. The rooms we were allocated on both visits have been nice & are a good size for a family of four. We was allocated a room facing the pool which was not ideal for us as we have two early rises and the entertainment goes on until 11pm. We requested a room change for a quieter room and this request was met within a few hours and the room was perfect. The maids are very friendly and do an amazing job of keeping the rooms & the hotel clean. Which on occasions must be frustrating as not all children are supervised when getting drinks and food & cleaning up behind them is constant. The food had improved from the year before. There is still a great selection, breakfast being my favourite due to the selection of cakes and pastries. The Dining Room staff are again very friendly and are so hard working. We tended to sit in the same area of tables and the lady Constantina who looked after us was lovely & was great with the kids. We pool areas are nice but didn't spend much time around them as kids always wanted to go to the Water park which is on site. The water park is brilliant and kept the kids happy. It was a good selection of slides (various ages), lazy river, splash zone (for younger kids but I think the adults enjoyed it too) and the wave pool. The Life Guard on to entrance Demi is such a lovely lady. She is so welcoming and super friendly, my kids absolutely loved her. My daughter would make a point of going to see her daily. The other Life Guards around the water park are also great. They are always on the ball keeping an eye on the kids. We actually witnessed them attending to a child (whose parents couldn't be located) and they dealt with it very professionally. The kids took a extra liking to both Leo & Joseph. My little girl used to taunt Leo (in a nice way) whilst going around the lazy river and he was always happy to play along. Joseph was great with the kids too, especially my lad who he would have a laugh and joke with. Also the maintenance guy who looked after us and cleaned up after my little girl was poorly whilst at the park. I would advise to take water shoes as the floor becomes very warm and some areas are slippery, where there is usually a slippery surface sign to advise. Also the water shoes will come in handy for the beach again as the sand becomes very hot throughout the day. The beach being a short walk a cross the road which again we tried to visit daily as the sea was lovely & warm 😊 We will definitely be returning at some point for future holidays
