Fantastic holiday, fantastic staff, great food. There are some really awful reviews of this hotel and I’m very sorry to hear that. We However we had a wonderful time. We went, myself and husband (age 34, my son and daughter age 3yr and 4yrs) It is very 3* but if that’s the mind set you are in you will have a 5* time. It’s clean and tidy. Our lock on the room door broke 2 days in, we reported it politely to reception who sent a maintenance team within the hour to fix it. Rooms are basic but who goes on holiday to spend time in your room. If you have any problems then please report it to staff to fix it. But please the staff can’t fix things when these problems are being reported to social media. (give respect to earn respect). There was a Huge selection of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner, the staff are also helpful Ian’s understanding when it comes to severe allergies or intolerances (in the main restaurant). The water park has its own lunch bar with fresh food being prepared all day. I urge you to go and enjoy all facilities. The animation/entertainment team worked their absolute socks off 6days a week (they have Wednesdays off) and you could tell they LOVED their jobs and really wanted to be there. Great evening entertainment and an awsome playlist. A five minute walk to the beach and any further detailed questions and to avoid any language barrier then head across the road to Sofias supermarket (she is Australian) and she is super helpful! Have a wonderful time and please don’t focus on the bad reviews. People are most likely to leave a negative review than a positive one

We were dreading this holiday after seeing all of the bad reviews, then we arrived. Greated very pleasantly by reception who could not be more helpful. We're given all the information we needed and found our room very quickly. The room was one of the newer ones and I have to be honest, it didn't have that wow factor but it was more than adequate for what we needed it for. It had beds, a fridge (that I turned off due to buzzing), a TV, balcony,storage, a safe we didn't use and a bathroom to do all the usual business you need to do. The shower pressure was dreadful but it was a theme across the hotel. There is a decent shower on the beach if you get desperate. The main restaurant is a very busy place with lots of fresh choices available. Could be considered repetitive but we were there for 2 weeks. Never had an issue with food, always well cooked and some nice local dishes along with a couple of theme nights. Staff super friendly and always happy to see you. The main snack bar was very very repetitive but our daughters loved the pizza and a big shout out to the man who works there 7 days a week for the whole season. That's grafting. We ate at the burger House 3/4 times and enjoyed it every time. The pool bar in the waterpark is amazing. Didn't try the other 2 restaurants and forgot they were there to be honest. The facilities in the hotel were great and clean. The bar staff work tirelessly and the drinks are nice too. The pool is absolutely fine as are the sunbeds. The playground is a bit dated and yes if you really really look around you can find faults and bits of damage to things but that's mostly down to be mistreatment by the guests. The waterpark is amazing and the lifeguards are really on their game. My daughter cut herself on the steps to a slide and the lifeguard ran over and immediately took us to the first aid area for treatment. Can't remember his name but he was slim with slick hair. The absolute outstanding highlight for us though is the entertainment crew. Shout out to Niamm and Tara who were amazing with the kids every night. And the biggest shout out to our 2 favourite Italians Alessandro and Vincenzo. 2 incredible guys who we consider friends for life. I really hope to see you guys again next year. Daily activity programme for both adults and kids apart from Wednesdays when the gang have their well deserved day off. Evening entertainment consists of kids disco, bingo followed by in house entertainment or a show. Alex's glass and fire show is one to watch(the crazy guy). And the african acrobats were superb. Tui reps really helpful too. We lost a bag and it was soon found and collection arranged. Overall it was an amazing family holiday and a holiday is always what you make it. We met some amazing people and saw some amazing things. If you want to get involved and go with the flow you will love it. If you want to moan,groan, find fault and have more English food. (Stay at home). Also just a bit of advice Sofia's travel over the road from the hotel is run by some lovely people that offer amazing days out at fantastic prices. Having come to sunpalace twice before I was surprised to read the negative reviews however I have to sadly confirm a few things have gone downhill since we stayed last (though the price has significantly increased..) Pro’s: staff are so friendly and hardworking - especially the bar staff and restaurant staff. Location - short walk to shops, bars, restaurants etc + bus stops outside the hotel to go to Rhodes, the water park, lindos etc Waterpark - one of the main reasons we came back, always plenty of sunloungers, the slides are great + the snack bar is so handy Cons: Sadly the food has gone downhill, we didn’t struggle to eat during the week but by the end of the holiday we were getting bored of repetitive dinners, previous years quality were much better + we missed the themed nights they used to have. Entertainment- entertainment hasn’t changed since we stayed two years ago, the drifters/boney M night were good but a few of the other nights were slightly lacking. Appearance/Tiredness - you can see some effort has been made to tidy up the appearance (new painted stage, new chairs outside etc) but the rooms are starting to look a little tired and some of the sun loungers look like they are on their way out. Overall we had a good stay, we knew what to expect and came here because of the familiarity of the place for our first family holiday, I wouldn’t let the negative reviews stop you staying but bear in mind if paying a lot and expecting more than a 3*
