Nice hotel, clean comfortable and good location. Our room was on second floor, which you accessed via a veranda overlooking a lovely garden courtyard. Our decent sized room had fridge, crockery and small hot plate, enough to make small meal, a good bathroom with hot shower. The room was on a corner and the view from the balcony gave lovely views across Faliraki to the sea and hills and was very private. The staff were helpful and friendly. The pool was excellent set in a nice garden and not over looked from other hotels, we visited first week September and it was not busy, always got a sun bed and a nice pool side café, serving good food and excellent cappuccinos. The hotel is situated on a hill, about 15 min walk to centre, I am in middle fifties and did not mind the walk up and down, but there is bus right outside the hotel and local taxis are reasonable. Visited Rhodes town, excellent well worth a visit and Lindos which is really pretty and quaint. If you want to visit the church in Lindos don't wear shorts or beach wear and take something to cover your head.

Have just come home after a weeks holiday in Faliraki, staying at the Hotel Maran. We arrived in the early hours of the morning but managed to get checked in without any problem. The room we were allocated was very basic but clean and served its purpose for the our requirements. We we located near the pool area at the back of the hotel. The view from the balcony was not great and the view of the pool was at the front door. The hotel is located up a steep hill and is about a 20-25 minute walk to Faliraki's main strip. You can get taxis back for 5€ though. However,beware if booking a taxi from the hotel as the taxis seem to add another 2-3€ on to the fare. The staff themselves were very friendly however and always happy to help out sorting cars and any requirements around the hotel,also offering helpful advice on places to visit. Would recommend to anyone wanting to travel here on a budget.
