A splendid hotel on the Falkraki coast! We had booked this hotel as part of a package deal for our honeymoon and from arrival to departure it has a truly amazing stay! The staff at check-in were very friendly and welcoming, offering Prosecco or orange refreshments! they congratulated our recent marriage and said the room would be ready in a few moments once the standard security checks/deposits were complete! To our surprise, the hotel had arranged for roses, champagne on ice, wine in the fridge, baklava/sweet treats in our room! A thoughtful and very surprising detail that we honestly did not expect! We opted for Half Board (which in old money is Dinner, bed & breakfast). The restaurant is a buffet style with a very very large selection to suit all diets/appetites! We would like to highlight Marilena from the Emerald Restaurant! From day 1 until the end, we felt we were staying with a long time friend as she was so kind, attentive, the epitome of professionalism! We will absolutely be returning to the hotel and cannot wait to be back in Rhodes. The hotel is serviced by a frequent local bus, there are readily available taxis, and during our stay we hired a car and could park in the hotel without additional costs, etc., There is a supermarket a little walk down the hill which is 5-10 mins, but the hotel also has a convenience store on site in addition to other an amenities. The evening entertainment on-site is enjoyable, with a different act each evening… it can only really be enjoyed with those willing to embrace it, and not just sit at a table sipping cocktails on warm lovely evenings! Definitely recommend and we will be back

The Elysium Hotel was a very pleasant experience , the staff were service oriented ,polite and always with a smile, Hotel facilities were excellent and the food variety was plentiful . We stayed for a week and had no inclination to leave the hotel for any excursion

“Everything perfect but the booking with hotel.com”

Our holiday in this hotel was amazing! The hotel is beautiful and offers many amenities. The sea is just in front the hotel and it is so transparent and it was calm all the week we spent there. Our holiday in this hotel was amazing! The hotel is beautiful and offers many amenities. The sea is just in front the hotel and it is so transparent and it was calm all the week we spent there. Bring your mask and don’t forget appropriate shoes for the beach because there are pebbles. The only issue we had (and the reason I put 4 stars instead of 5) is that we did a reservation with hotel.com as silver member and our status should gave us a perk in the spa. But the hotel didn’t know and hotel.com didn't help efficiently to manage it. So maybe it is hotel.com’s guilt, but it was annoying anyway.

So I had very high expectations for this hotel after reading all of the positive reviews. Now perhaps we have travelled well, but I don’t feel this is a 5* hotel. The staff on the whole are great, friendly and want to help but there are clearly not enough of them. You have a long wait for drinks whether by the pool or at any of the bars. They seem to have one person that takes the orders, another that brings the drinks and one maybe two that make the drinks and obviously some managers that just seem to be there for show. A special mention must be given to Daniel who serves by the pool and Christina at the Beach bar. Both are friendly, helpful and stand out. Now let’s move to the restaurant. Again not enough staff. There seems to be head waiters that take orders and are the only ones that give you a device to sign to pay for your drinks. (Even water!) with usually a long delay to do even this. There are other staff but they are there to bring food and clear plates and that is it. We sat in a number of areas and the only Head Waiter we thought was good was George. The dinner is a bit odd with you helping yourself from a buffet for your starter and dessert but having two options from a set menu for your main course. If you don’t like the options in the menu you can go for the buffet. The food is good and lots of variety available. The rest of the staff in the restaurant are very helpful and friendly. Although some if the Head Waiters seem to bark at them. The reception staff are not what I would expect in a 5* hotel. We arrived late at night and to say we were underwhelmed would be an understatement and didn’t get the holiday off to the best start especially when you have been travelling for a long time. Guest services were very helpful and organised a trip for us. The room we were in was dated and not of 5* standard. Who has a shower over a bath and not a separate shower cubicle. The bath is very narrow and it’s difficult to shower in. Looking at some of the other rooms they seemed to have been upgraded so perhaps there are works planned. We were in the second building. There are not enough plugs in the room and only one set at one side of the bed (made worse by us having single beds that were pushed together!) . The balcony was very over looked although the view was stunning and the setting is amazing. There is no entertainment during the day apart from a woman who turns up to do water aerobics, there is no announcement and if there is not a group in the pool ready to take part she turns around and leaves. There really should be a daytime entertainment program to break things up. The evening entertainment is all at the Beach Bar and is ok…. Overall we were totally underwhelmed by the hotel apart from the friendly staff.
