We viewed the hotel on-line and booked through Thomas Cook, we were lucky and had a swim up room. From start to finish we were looked after fantastically from the standard of the rooms, the housekeeping, the food, hospitality and the brilliant front of house staff. The friendliness and the nothing is too much trouble of the staff ensured that we had a magical 11 night stay. A special mention to Kyriakos and Teris for making us feel that we were with friends and not there as guests. Would we go back - definitely, would we recommend- definitely. For those who read this review please be aware that it is a hotel catering mainly for the older traveller, but their sister hotel across the road is ideally suited for families. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, and cannot understand why this is not a 5 ⭐️ hotel, cannot wait for us both to return 👏👏👏

We spent a week at this hotel in August 2019 and really enjoyed it! Being able to use the sister hotel across the road was great, as it means you can enjoy the best of both - Calypso Palace is quiet and perfect for relaxing whilst Calypso Beach has the spa (a lovely team here and we had great treatments), animation team activities and louder evening entertainment. Our room was spotless and cleaned to a high standard every day, and the food was excellent - variety every day and we enjoyed the different themed lunches / evenings. We also liked the variety of drinks at the bar (lots of cocktails whereas other all inclusive may have less choice!). The staff were lovely and clearly work very hard to make sure everything is of a high quality. As mentioned, most of the guests are not English but we also preferred this! The location is good - not too far from Rhodes Old Town which you can get to on a regular, cheap bus from outside the hotel. It is worth noting how easy it is to get around Rhodes from this location and would recommend bypassing lots of the excursions for this reason - we paid 41 euros each for a very busy island cruise to Lindos before realising how cheap it would have been to get the bus down and have more time to explore this village (we only had 3 hours and I'd recommend more!). Being close to Faliraki (about 20 minute walk) was also good - a good variety of bars, clubs, shops and entertainment so an easy alternative to the hotel entertainment! The only downside to our holiday was the travel - we were two hours late flying out of London (due to staff shortages at Rhodes) and then about an hour late flying out of Rhodes. However, this seemed lucky compared to many other people flying back to England - almost every flight back to the UK was delayed (this feels like the norm) including one 7 hour delay. Rhodes airport is not big enough to cope with these passenger numbers and felt chaotic, with most people forced to sit on the floor waiting for flights! Overall, a lovely holiday and I would recommend this hotel!

I have just come back from Calypso Palace after visiting for a week with friends. We stayed in a swim up room which was well worth it! The hotel was amazing, with friendly staff and good food. The pool area always had sunbeds and the beach was just across the road! In the evening it was quite quiet but we always had a few drinks in the upstairs bar area and then headed into Falaraki for a more lively evening. We all came to celebrate our 30th birthdays so we made the most of the all inclusive cocktails - and with the bar open until 2am, this was easy! I would highly recommend visiting Rhodes old town with its fantastic shops and restaurants. We also hired a boat from the beach which was incredible. Overall we all said that we would come back to this hotel and usually I like to visit new places every time I go away! Visit this hotel - it will be worth it.
