I stayed at the hotel with my family for 2 weeks in July 2024. Basically, the hotel is highly recommended (if you can live with the two criticisms). The staff always made an effort and was friendly. Maybe there were too few people in some corners, but those who were there were friendly and didn't let it show that they were about to collapse from stress (see restaurant). The drinks on offer were perfectly fine with a good selection of cocktails. The pool bar was busy in the evenings, but the two bartenders had it under control. The food in the main restaurant had a large selection of high-quality dishes - in our opinion a delicious, great selection. We really enjoyed it. The food in the à la carte restaurants is definitely recommended, you really get a lot here (our tip: the ravioli in the Italian restaurant). One negative thing to note is that the hotel was so full that the service in the main restaurant left a lot to be desired. Which was clearly not the fault of the staff themselves! The people all tried hard and everyone tried to share. There were simply too few. If I, as a hotel, don't offer drinks for you to get yourself, but instead have them brought to your table, then it has to work. There were days, especially in the breakfast, when the coffee didn't arrive until you were halfway through breakfast... and there was no second cup because the waiter never came back and rushed from table to table to set the table again or to process the "first order" of the new guests. It's a shame, I don't expect that from a 5-star hotel. But we didn't die of thirst, you could always get a coffee / latte / etc. from the bars or in the cafeteria. P.S.: The snack bar on the beach has everything a child's heart could desire - junk food :-), crepes, soft ice cream... what more could you want? The pools and beach (sand and pebble beach) were very nice and even though it was busy, you could always find a sun lounger. The wait at the bar was never too long. The facilities in the hotel are great for families. With the separate water park, beach, kids' club, park, etc., our daughter was never bored. The water park itself is beautiful and great for children and has slides, a lazy river and a toddler area. The only downside is that not all slides are always open, but only one at a time on a rotating basis. It would be great to have at least two open so that children in particular have a choice (some children don't dare to try every slide). Despite this, our daughter was absolutely thrilled with the water park (and so were we!). Our special thanks go to the animation/kids club team. Vera, Dina, Ioanna, Maria and Anastasia worked really tirelessly to ensure that all the children had a great time during the day and in the evening. We have rarely experienced such commitment. We have stayed in a number of hotels - and we often had the impression that the kids club was a "burden" that the hotel had to provide. Not so here! The team really tried hard. Our daughter wanted to go to the kids club every day - it was difficult to even get her out of there :-) . My daughter will remember you all forever and was so sad to leave you all. Unfortunately, the kids club was sometimes relatively empty (incomprehensible to us given the number of children in the hotel), which was a shame for our daughter, as she loves making holiday friends in the kids club. Tip for the management: The app for booking the kids club times is rubbish. It will definitely put some people off. Let people register their details in the app once and then just bring the child in with the room number. The barrier is lowered. And become more visible - the kids' club is great. A little advertising for it in prominent places in the hotel certainly doesn't do any harm. A large proportion of families probably do not even know that a children’s club exists. The evening face painting and the mini disco were always the highlight of the day for our daughter! One negative point is the pool towel service. The idea is that you hand in your beach towel by 6 p.m., get a plastic card and then get a new one the next morning. The things are washed at night. But many guests don't do that. Like us - we were always on the beach until just after 6 p.m. Or you deliberately don't hand it in because you want to go to the beach/pool BEFORE 10 a.m. with small children (who are up early). The end result: you change your towel at some point in the morning and the hotel runs out of pool towels over the course of the day. A no-go for a 5-star hotel. If I as a hotel notice/know that my plan is obviously not working - then I have to damn well have more towels on hand. In the end, the number of towels to be washed wouldn't even be any greater! Overall, we would come back any time. With 2 of our own beach towels in our luggage :-)

I want to give you a loud shoutout for the excellent personal service you have given me during my stay at Amada Collossos. Because I have celiac disease I can't eat gluten. Every day at breakfast, lunch and dinner, you made me feel at ease and provided detailed information about what I can eat and what I can't. This made my holiday the most relaxed in years. Besides that all the food is a lust for the eye and senses!!

Firstly in our opinion, this is a good 4 star hotel. Having stayed at Ikos resorts over the last few years and more recently the Mayia Exclusive Resort, Rhodes in October 2023, this did not meet our ‘5 star’ expectations. However saying that, it’s not the price point of those hotels so we shouldn’t have expected the same facilities and experience in retrospect. We holidayed as a family with our two older children, 20 and 17 in mid July. Rooms: Nice rooms, cleaned well. Beds and pillows very comfortable. No full length mirror which is annoying. Only water supplied in the fridge. No retractable towel rail on the balcony so everyone hangs beach towels over the glass balustrades which gives it a distinct Benidorm feel when looking at the hotel in the evening. Bar service: adult pool bar/swim up pool/snack bar very understaffed which creates queues. Staff are great and stay calm and relaxed but it’s not fair to them or guests. Typical wait time 10 minutes at busy times which in 40+ degree heat is not fun and not 5 star service. However the bar service in the Adult bar in the evening is well staffed as well as the main restaurant at lunchtime. Again little touches like a bowl of nuts were missing/snacks when drinking in Adult bar in the evening. We did not eat in the main restaurant in the evening. I also expected bar service around the pool and beach as we have always had that in 5 star hotels, but again I think our expectations were too high for the price point. Sunbeds: Simply frustrating. Rules around reservation not enforced. On our last day (as we’d been out and about for two days prior) we had to get up at 6.30am so we could enjoy the last day by the pool. All beds reserved around the pool by 7am. We couldn’t beat them, so we had to join them. Quite ridiculous. And as is usual, lots of beds not being used for hours on end. Restaurants: Italian is outstanding in both food quality and service. Huge thanks to the team for amazing evenings there. Asian: did not impress with food or service unfortunately. Being told you order one starter and one main seemed unnecessary and condescending. Greek: unfortunately not very exciting food and the service was mostly disinterested. Although I think there was staff training on the evening we visited. Main restaurant good for lunch but did not visit in the evening. We also went to Rhodes in the evening and enjoyed local restaurants. Bus is busy but managed to get seats both ways and €2.50 each way pp. Drinks: all local spirits and not really very clear what’s included on cocktail menu and what isn’t. Mojito is not. Wine included is very limited so we chose to purchase wine in the A La Cartes. Spa: did not realise you had to pay to use the basic facilities. Again we have never paid to use spa facilities in 5 star hotels we have visited. Blue Line Watersports: We trusted their safety and professional service when we hired a boat to explore and snorkel in the local bays. Unfortunately the hotel do not provide picnics and there is no local supermarket to buy bread etc so again slight annoyance. Overall, a good break in the sun but not a hotel for us as it lacks the finesse and touches of a 5 star hotel. Also probably too hot for us now to holiday in July so we will continue to enjoy Greece and their islands in May and October.
