This hotel is absolutely fantastic and I can’t stress this enough . Me and my family attended this hotel for a week all inclusive and it definitely exceeded our expectation. The manager moss was so professional and accommodating a real credit to the hotel. Phillip the barman was amazing , the girls in the restaurant Paulina , mimi and slyvia were absolutely brilliant couldn’t do enough for us throughout our stay. Ben the pool Barman was brilliant, so friendly and professional and a right good laugh. A massive shout out to Helen , what a lovely lovely member of staff , ( her eggs , waffles and pancakes are to die for ) and she’s such a friendly soul . To conclude this review GET YOURSELVES TO RODOS STAR !!!! Thankyou to all and we will see you next year . ( we was in room 214) Untill next time :) :)

“2nd visit and definitely no complaints”

This is the 2nd time I've visited this hotel and there is definitely nothing to complain about. Moss checked us in when we arrived and told us to make sure we went and got lunch before the dining room closed. We travelled with my sister and brother-in-law, and Moss gave us rooms close together, ours over looking Afandou village at the back (gets the sunshine in the afternoon on the balcony) and my sisters overlooking the pool. The rooms at the back are very quiet. The room was lovely and clean, and the beds are comfy. The maid came everyday with clean towels etc. The pool area was very clean and we never struggled to get 4 sunbeds together. There was towels left on some beds early, but no one struggled to find beds. The food was always good ( and I'm a bit of a fussy eater) and the Gyros pittas at lunchtime are delicious. We booked a boat trip with Moss and was collected from the hotel around 9.20am and returned around 4pm. Fantastic day. Also Moss booked us a table at a local restaurant, Flora Greek Taverna, and we was picked up and driven back to the hotel after the meal. I've stayed in several hotels in different countries over the years, but have never found any other hotels to be as friendly and helpful as this hotel. The staff in the dining room and bar go above any expectations. Personally, the Greek people are the friendliest ever. I can't wait to return next year 🙂

Booked this hotel with my sister and husband as they had been before. It’s situated up a steep hill but we had booked a hire car so had no problem getting out and about. If you’re not as mobile you may find this difficult but reception staff are helpful and will arrange taxis for you (payable by yourselves). Moss, the manager was in reception and was very welcoming to us all, recognising my sister from their previous visit which was lovely. Our room/bathroom was clean with everything we expected, tv, hairdryer & safe, and the bed very comfortable. Our first floor balcony overlooked the pool which was a plus. Air con was paid extra at €7 per night although we only had it for the last two nights. Wi-fi was included in our booking through Booking.com. All the staff were very friendly and the food was very good for a 3* hotel with plenty of choice. Plenty of sun beds around the pool and although some guests reserved them early, we always managed to get 4 together at 10am. We will definitely return here as we could not fault this holiday 😎

We have just returned from a week long stay in the Rodos Star hotel .The hotel in general is spotlessly clean (although I felt the cleaners could have brushed our bedroom floor more often and forgot fresh towels at least once ).It is dated in some areas ( we had a room in the old block which had a rickety plug point ) and the toilets near reception and the poolside could be updated for the many guests using them.However it's obvious that the hotel has undergone renovation with a new block with balconies which enjoy full sun.We were in the old block but enjoyed stunning views since it is on a steep hill.The walk downhill isn't too bad but those who are immobile would find uphill challenging especially in the heat . The staff are very friendly - especially the kitchen staff who greet everyone warmly with perfect manners and patience.Special shout out to Elena who makes the tasty desserts and is in charge of the cooked eggs / waffles/ pancakes in the mornings.She makes an effort to engage guests in conversation and gave us all a cuddle goidbye.We found the food varied and fresh .We are vegetarian but always found plenty of cooked vegetables in different sauces to mix with rice or pasta ,including some lovely Greek dishes like spinach pie or okra..For meat eaters there were always fish and meat options from the buffet or grill area .The salads are always fresh and tasty too .and soup is served in the evenings.Juices, white wine and red wine on tap during meal times although my husband and son would have liked the option of a beer .However the poolside bar opens from 10am until 5 pm so beer is readily available there along with a selection of cocktails and spirits .Snacks like pizza and toasties are available poolside along with cake and biscuits in the afternoon .Tea and coffee available too..The hotel bar opens at 5 pm until 11 pm with a wide selection of drinks . For those who don't like cats the presence of the occasional cat mooching around the open air area off the restaurant may be off putting but the staff tolerate them unless guests complain - the cats are not aggressive and leave you alone if show no interest .Cats are popular in Greece and you see strays in the villages and towns . There was a charge for hotel WiFi and air conditioning which we didn't use .We thought this was unusual but we live in an age of high mobile data on our phones and don't go on holiday to surf the internet .The nights in October are cooler in Greece so air conditioning wasn't required -although the temperatures were in the late 20's during the day . We stayed downstairs after dinner for hotel entertainment a few evenings but skipped it twice due to being out and about visiting Rhodes town and Lindos during the day .The music can be quite noisy for those who just want a quiet night in their room but it wasn't on every night - at least 3 out of the 7 nights there was no entertainment.Moreover there was no sign of annoying people over indulging We used the local buses in Afandou village at the bottom of the hill but guests have said that reception are very helpful with local bus times or organising trips . This was a last minute trip and we would probably return due to the standard of food and the amazing staff .It comprises mainly middle aged couples - many of whom are returning guests- so it has a very friendly ,quiet atmosphere.
