Just returned from our third visit to Lindos Mare and already booked for next year. We cannot fault this hotel in any way. The location is idyllic in a quiet picturesque bay but only 5 minutes away from Lindos if you want somewhere a bit livelier. Bus stop right outside the hotel to either Lindos or Rhodes town. Choose between a beautiful pool area or private beach with bar service for food or drinks Location aside all the team under Efis watchful eye go above and beyond to make your holiday special. Without exception everyone is extremely professional, friendly and helpful and it would be unfair to single just a few out. We had an amazing room with a spectacular view across the bay. Each room has a coffee machine but I prefer tea so a quick call to reception and a kettle arrives. I found the mattress a little too hard so again call to reception and straightaway housekeeping arrive with a mattress topper! We loved the Drifters & Legends tribute bands, great fun evenings but there’s something for everyone with piano, guitar music some evenings. Food is amazing in all restaurants especially Asian night in the Estia. The sushi selection is unbelievable. Beware if ordering lunch as the portions are huge - we always shared. I could go on how wonderful this hotel is but I think by all the reviews it’s pretty plain this is the place to go!

“For us, perfection.”

We first visted the ‘Lindos Blu’ as a couple 11 years ago …. Fast forward to the present and we returned, this time to the ‘Lindos Mare’ as a family of four. I had my reservations as the Blu sets the standard very high …. But was not disappointed. This hotel has improved with age, and the expertise of the managerial team in place today. We had a phenomenal room, breath taking sea views,and the sound of the surf in the morning. The hotel was immaculate and the staff faultless in their professionalism. You can sense they are absolutely exhausted after the season, but never stopped delivering throughout our stay. Our special thanks to Savas, for his ability to put our children at ease and enjoy their experience. To Linda, on the carvery, with her wonderful smile and encouragement as my daughter navigated new dishes in Greece. You are already missed very much. Also, by no means least, the back of house staff who clean the communal areas and rooms tirelessly. It meant so very much, and was enormously appreciated. We loved all the hotel had to offer, and are already contemplating our return! There are many many places in the world, but this hotel delivers something special. Thank you team Lindos Mare. XX

We stayed at the Lindos Mare Hotel at the end of October. It oozes “quiet quality.” So much so that we have already recommended it to our friends. Why? Well, it is a well-run hotel, constructed down the north face of a hill, giving spectacular views of the bay and access to its own beach. The hotel is spotlessly clean with rooms that enable a good nights’ sleep, due to quality bed linen and effective air conditioning. The food offer provides both choice and quality. There is the main buffet restaurant, which unusually, and most welcome to us, as my wife is gluten intolerant, also provides a choice of three meals to order. There are two a la carte restaurants, each with their own distinct ambience and food offer. Staff were always friendly and helpful. It is easy to see why the hotel gets a 5 star rating and so many people return, but be aware, there is a 10 euro per night tax to pay as a consequence, but it is well worth it. David Swansea UK

The positives of this hotel are plentiful. It is amazing in so many ways and I do not wish to put anyone off staying here as I would recommend it to others on the proviso that guests ensure they get the room they have paid for and don't settle for less. I was staying here for my son's wedding and chose this hotel because of the amazing reviews it received and the fact it was a five star hotel and I really wanted to push the boat out for such a special holiday. I also paid extra for a room with a sea view. I was immensely excited about staying here, esoecially when other guests had raved so much about it. Therefore I was dismayed to find that, upon me and my friend's arrival, our room was extremely basic (402) and had only the very slightest of sea views. Despite this we decided to stay put as we had arrived in the early hours and I had already unpacked some of ny clothes. After the second night however, when we found that one of our single beds was broken which resulted in me being tipped onto the floor during the night, we were moved into a far superior room by the Residential manager Efi who, after realising how upset I was, went out of her way to find us another room. If we had been given a room similar to this from the start the experience of this hotel would have been perfect. However, for whatever reason, we were initially given a room that I would say was worthy of that of a 3 star hotel....at a push. It was clearly one of the rooms that had not been refurbished. Despite being moved to a much better room I have found that, despite all the hotel's wonderful qualities, I cannot get past the fact that we were given that room in the first place and were expected to accept it as being adequate. It has left a really bad taste in my mouth. I don't believe that anybody would have been happy to pay what I paid for the holiday to be given a room which was so basic and with such a limited sea view. There wasn't even a proper shower over the bath....just a small and very inadequate attachment. I am writing this review to warn others who may be considering staying at this hotel to do so but with caution regarding the room you are given as it is clearly a lottery as to the standard of the room guests are given. We spoke to another couple who had been given our room only two days before we were given it and they had also complained and been moved from the very same room to a much nicer room. Why does the hotel think this is okay?? Do they just hope that people won't complain at being put in a sub-standard room with no sea view after paying extra for a sea view? Please don't settle for less than what you have paid for. There are stark contrasts between room types and I have no idea how the hotel chooses which guests get the lovely refurbished rooms and which guests get the tired looking rooms.... I expected to be given the sane type of room that I had seen on the Tui website, however the room we received had most certainly not been refurbished and had the feel of staff accommodation. Other than that this hotel is wonderful but I wouldn't stay here again personally based on my experience and on principle that the hotel can treat its guests in this way. The fact they rectified matters after two days does not make up for this having happened in the first place. I should add that Efi did provide us with a late checkout room free of charge on our last day which was appreciated and was a nice gesture. She did everything she could to try to make up for the poor start to our holiday which I am very grateful for but her efforts were insufficient as this should never have happened to start with. I expect so much more from a hotel of this calibre. I still give this hotel 3 stars because of all the other amazing aspects of the hotel but I cannot stand by and watch other people sharing their wonderful experiences and saying how perfect their room was without sharing my experience which was, sadly, very different to begin with.
