We were looking for a much needed holiday and this hotel was suggested by a travel agent. We were booked on an all inclusive plus basis but once we arrived at the hotel found there was no difference between that and all inclusive. Same limitations on what restaurants you can use and when, and the same limitation on drinks available. The hotel its self was spotless and the staff were always helpful and friendly. Especially the staff in the main Breakfast/dining area. We booked a Deluxe Seaview room with balcony and spa bath which had a lovely view overlooking the pool to the sea beyond. The staff were up early in the morning tidying the pool area and cleaning the pool. The selection of food was varied and plenty of it, but on reflection it would have been nice to see more traditional Greek food. They do themed nights each day of the week but felt we missed out on the real Greek food we were expecting. They also do evening entertainment, which we were not expecting and to be trueful not wanting, but it was ok. Not too loud and ended at a reasonable time of night. lots of sunbeds in different areas where, if you download the app. you can have drinks brought to you which was a very nice touch. We were very disappointed in the surrounding area of Ixia. Nothing surrounding the hotel, so a 15 - 20 walk was needed before you found anything and unfortunately wasn't to our taste, In fact we found it rather dirty and unkempt. We were told that Rhodes was a twenty min walk but found it to be much further than that and in 40 degree heat was a no go for us. We got a taxi from the hotel to Rhodes Old Town which cost 20 euros each way, so to do that a few nights or more certainly adds up. We would recommend the hotel but do your research on Ixia before you go. Pros - Clean and tidy hotel Lovely helpful staff Adults only Cons - Nothing in surrounding area Limited selection of traditional Greek food. Rhodes to far to walk and taxis too expensive. (never saw a local bus) No benefit to All inclusive plus

“A good & friendly hotel”

I lovely hotel in a great location. Hotel looking a little tired in places but generally a well kept hotel. Food was of good standard but very repetitive. Local shops & restaurants within waking distance and short excursions easily booked either at the hotel or locally. Airport is only a 15 mi… more

I lovely hotel in a great location. Hotel looking a little tired in places but generally a well kept hotel. Food was of good standard but very repetitive. Local shops & restaurants within waking distance and short excursions easily booked either at the hotel or locally. Airport is only a 15 min transfer (taxi). Lots a friendly cats around the hotel. A good hotel in a good location. Would recommend.

We did enjoy our stay. I question the 5* rating as the whole hotel is tired & a little dated. Food was very “samey” we would’ve liked to see more variety & more local food. We did enjoy our stay. I question the 5* rating as the whole hotel is tired & a little dated. Food was very “samey” we would’ve liked to see more variety & more local food. Lots of chicken & pizza (lovely!) deserts were very bland, I’m unsure how it’s possible to make them all taste of absolutely nothing. Cocktails are pre-mixed and I question if they actually contained any alcohol at all. I opted for the non-alcoholic cocktails & requested separate spirits. Pools were freezing but I guess that’s not unusual for October! Bar staff in the pool bar were friendly - older chap in the bar near reception was rude to us on more than one occasion. Reception staff friendly & we found them to be very helpful throughout our stay. Evening entertainment can only be compared to what I’d expect in a nursing home. It usually lasted an hour and you were then left to sit around in silence. We were sent a survey during our stay but had been made aware that if you give an honest review below what they expect you will be intimidated as it is not anonymous and is linked to your room. It should also be noted that this hotel does not provide single beds we were informed that they do not have any.

So we had a pool room which upon arrival seemed great however there was no outside seating area other than floating beanbags, which let's be honest seems great but the water was absolutely freezing so unless it's really boiling your not going to be brave enough to risk falling in!!! Infact all the pools were so cold!! The bottom of the pool was moldy and dirty, the bean bags were full of mold so personally I wouldn't recommend these rooms at all!! All that expense and cannot use the pool. The room was OK but not luxury same as most other 3/4* hotels we have stayed before. The head board was damaged the tv only had the news in English no additional English channels. The bathroom is really peculiar...it's open design with a sliding door..so the sink is outside the toilet in the main room, the toilet and shower have a sliding glass door that slides between the two so if someone was in the shower the other person couldn't use the toilet as there would be no door. Really strange set up!! Modern but strange. The restaurants for the suites fill up quick so need to book as soon as get there!! The food is okay but again not the 5* quality I had in mind. We ended up going out to local restaurants moat nights even though we was all inclusive. The entertainment is really rubbish!! One evening we didn't even have any entertainment on and another evening it only lasted an hour. You really have to find your own fun there! Unless your literally going for peace and quiet you will get bored. The sun loungers get taken quickly, some are damaged or full of water from the sprinklers. I personally wouldn't stay here again.
