Nice hotel and great location. We had only room reservation (not any meals) but we had breakfast and dinner one day. Both were good, but we didn't want to pay so much for the food at the hotel. Instead we had dinner nearby, there were a lot of nice restaurants and cafes. The water at the pools was freezing! The adults' infinity pool area was nice, but drinks at cardboard mugs, really? Was not very fancy experience to sip Pina Colada from brown coffee mugs! :D Also, sometimes the noice from planes flying over the hotel was a bit disturbing (and they were many at one night!).

All in all, an excellent and thoroughly relaxing stay at the Sun Beach resort. Following late arrival due to flight delays (post midnight), felt somewhat left to our own devices to find out room but other than that, the reception team in the garden view part of the hotel were helpful throughout our week's stay with directions and other info. The views will undoubtedly be better on the sea view side of the resort, worth noting when booking, but the garden view rooms, albeit a little outdated, are comfortable and maintained daily by the kind and helpful cleaning staff. And there's a kettle for tea/coffee making facilities. We stayed half board for the week, ate and dined in the Artemis restaurant on the garden side and couldn't fault the quality and variety of food, particularly for such a cosmopolitan range of guests,or the attentive and helpful service from the restaurant team, particularly George, friendliness personified and a real credit to the hotel. The hotel boasts numerous pools, although our preference was beachside by the sea. Taken aback having to pay 5 euros pp for a sunbed and umbrella, but cheaper than a lot of places, particularly Lindos, and the beds were comfortable and perfect for a day of lounging. One thing to note, the beach is a mix of pebbles and sand, water shoes a must, although sandy underfoot when you get out into the sea for a cooling splash. Other things to note - the friendly entertainment team were busy throughout with activities and shows, so it's perfect for family holidays and great to keep the younger ones entertained and occupied; there's a supermarket on site and others a short walk away, along with shops and restaurants; the location is ideal for a jaunt into Rhodes town and the old town; excursion tour offices are nearby (we booked a trip to Lindos to see the stunning acropolis); and, like, a lot of Greek islands, you'll see plenty of cats, which have made their home in the grounds.

Just spent a week here at Sunbeach Resort Rhodes. Pros: on the beach, 2 supermarkets on site, a wine shop, 10 min stroll to more shops/restaurants/bars. Most of the staff were nice. Cons: had to inform reception staff 3 times that we had A LOT of ants in our room just inside the veranda door crawl… more

Just spent a week here at Sunbeach Resort Rhodes. Pros: on the beach, 2 supermarkets on site, a wine shop, 10 min stroll to more shops/restaurants/bars. Most of the staff were nice. Cons: had to inform reception staff 3 times that we had A LOT of ants in our room just inside the veranda door crawling up the curtains and on the table. The third time we just demanded the bug spray ourselves. Food was ok but ALWAYS cold even food just brought out. Not sure if I’d stay again
