We had booked an Airbnb with family in the old town. Unfortunately, it was just too tight a fit for four. At the last moment, I hopped on Hotels.com and found this adorable adorable boutique hotel. We booked a ridiculously gorgeous room for literally the same amount I’d pay for one night in Boston. We were treated with the most respect and the free breakfast. Every morning was phenomenal. We were even gifted a bottle of wine.this hotel is within walking distance to literally and not speaking Greek we were still made to feel like family. I highly recommend this location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our four-night stay with the Argo Boutique Hotel. The hotel was booked for us by a travel agent. After reading some of the negative reviews on TripAdvisor, mostly from the summer and fall of 2023, I started to worry. But I need not have--all was as expected. But because I have read these reviews, and presume others will have as well, I want to address some of these issues. First, the location in Naxos is superb. It's on a quiet street, in walking distance to everything--great restaurants, St. George's beach, the pier (yes, you could walk with your suitcases from the ferry but you might prefer a transfer), the Old Town, the bus stop to go to the other beaches, rental car places, bakeries, etc. Second, the hotel is VERY clean. We had no complaints in any area--our room, linens, towels, the breakfast area, lobby, etc. We saw no bugs. Third, there is more than ample breakfast. The choices are amazing, from eggs cooked in a variety of ways, Greek yogurt with toppings, cereal, a variety of breads, and sweet and savory options. The food did not run out throughout the designated breakfast period. Fourth, the pool. There are actually two pools, one outside the lobby/bar/breakfast area, and one on the roof of the main building. We used only the one on the ground level. It is small, but attractive. At breakfast, tables are seated around the pool, and I saw no one in the water then. But after the breakfast tables are cleared away, pool lounge chairs are set around the pool, and people did use the pool then. During the day it is a very peaceful place to relax and read. And the bar is close at hand should you want anything. Fifth, the staff. The reception staff is great, welcoming and knowledgable, and accommodating with regard to storing luggage. The breakfast staff is younger and mostly does not speak English; they also are pleasant. We had one maintenance issue in our room while we were there, and it was taken care of quickly. Sixth, towel rental. We did not rent towels while we were there, but I understood that if you choose to rent a beach towel (5 Euros) you can change it out each day of your visit. There is a basket in the lobby to collect the dirty ones and another basket from which you take your clean one. I saw guests do this. Seventh, the room. So many people complained that they did not get the room they had booked that I looked into this. We booked a King room with Sea View and Hot Tub. I carefully studied the pictures online and could see there are two rooms pictured under this description. So I called and was told which room we were getting, and our room matched the pictures perfectly, including the sea view. Clearly the pictures under each room description are a composite of all the rooms meeting that description. So if you want to know exactly which room you are getting, call and try to identify that specific room from something you see in a specific picture. No, the rooms are not large. But excepting one or two larger hotels nearby, it might be a challenge to find larger accommodations in such a great location. Certainly farther out there are resorts that likely have larger rooms. Our room size was adequate for the three adults in my family. The air conditioning worked well, the shower was powerful, there was plenty of hot water. Oh, yes, the shower does have a glass window that is a little awkward. But I appreciated having the light in what otherwise would have been a dark shower. There is daily room service if you want it. And would I stay there again? Yes, I certainly would.

I felt like part of the family during my stay! The Argo Boutique Hotel team was very professional and accommodating, I had a wonderful time. The property is within walking distance to incredible shops, restaurants, and of course the beach! The Argo team assisted with port transfers and my stay was effortless. Breakfast was included and deliciously fresh every morning.
