We visited this lovely hotel for the third time. We stayed this year in room nr.622. Everybody is very friendly,the staff,the cleaning lady, especially Pavlina our nearly personal waitress. The food is excellent and every day the cooks surpise you every day with something special and very tastfull food. On the beach there is a bar where you can choose your favorite drinks. Our first family holiday abroad with 2 kids, 5&8. Clean rooms, all pools clean and tidy. Food was always fresh and cooked perfectly, we went just before school hols, and it started to get busy for food, but never an issue. Evening entertainment was fab, Dominique is brilliant at getting the crown going!! Did not think much of the band on the Sunday... sent us to sleep!! Kids club team also really nice and helpful. Cocktails are god, but could do with more variety on the All Inclusive. I had a spa treatment and we paid 20 euros each for use of spa facilities which was nice, nothing too exciting but quiet and relaxing all the same. You walk across the road to the beach, pebbles so you need beach shoes to go in the sea. All in all, a WONDERFUL holiday and we will be back without a doubt.

Overall our stay at Pelagos Suites was fantastic! The hotel and grounds were absolutely stunning with several pools, bars (including an Adults Only bar) and the fabulous addition being the Italian restaurant. We initially checked into a room which was situated close to the main pool bar which at night we found was far too noisy for us, so the hotel manager kindly moved us into a new room the next day which was actually an upgrade to the room we had initially booked, so we were very grateful for this given the hotel was near enough at full capacity. The main restaurant had a brilliant selection of food and we thoroughly enjoyed every time we dined there (I am also a very fussy eater and I was able to find something different every day). We spent our pool days at the Adults Only pool which was lovely, the lady serving at this pool bar was so friendly and attentive. We hired a quad bike from the place right next to the hotel which we found was a great way to explore the island for the day, we would also suggest booking the 3 Island Bay Cruise (Christina Boat) this was by far our favourite day of our holiday. A couple of points to mention that we felt let down our holiday: Certain staff members around the main bar were very unfriendly and border line rude which made us feel slightly uncomfortable, we feel they either need additional customer service training or shouldn’t be in a customer front facing role. We found the entertainment at the main bar was very children focused, there was entertainment at the Adults Only bar however this wasn’t every night so we felt it lacked atmosphere here. In all we had a truly wonderful stay and we will definitely return in the future - hopefully some staff members up there game. A special shout out to the staff at the Italian restaurant though, their customer service was outstanding which is why we returned twice!

3/5 Food - There was a great variety of food on offer. The food was ok but borderline bland, often missing basic seasoning that would be used in Greek dishes - sometimes even salt and pepper (though we understand it is designed to cater for children and people with less sophisticated pallets). The deserts were many, however almost all apart from the kataifi and the baklava were cream based. More chocolate fudge like cakes needed. Accommodation & Room Service - The bedroom was too small with an unnecessary seating area and a second tv. Rather more wardrobe space would have been helpful as a family of 3. It would have been helpful for a family with older children. A cot was kindly provided, but it looked dirty on the outside and was actually torn. This cot would never pass UK government child sleeping regulations. Not sure what the standards are in Greece, but we were unhappy with this, rather than complain again, the baby slept in our bed. The bathroom window opened to a public corridor in the basement. The room facilities were ok, however basic complimentary supplies such as a shower cap and ear buds were not provided. The towels were old and over washed, they were rough on our skin and especially our baby’s. Slippers were available but no robes (even when booked into the spa!). Room service was not available, even on the evening of our arrival. Instead a cold sandwich, banana and bought croissant were provided for dinner. Whilst the thought was kind, a warm dinner would have been more appropriate - especially given how much food is produced for the buffet daily. On a couple of days we were unwell and unable to walk over to breakfast, due to no room service, we had nothing to eat. The daily room clean was sub par, unless you requested bedding changed (when it was obviously dirty) it didn’t happen. Toilet rolls were not replaced, floors were not mopped, and the bath wasn’t being cleaned. Spa - The massage was excellent. However; the manager kept trying to sell us more by telling us we would get a discount. It was a bit too much pressure. Entertainment - The entertainment was generally good and we enjoyed the Pelagos Happy Dance, the pool workout and water polo. We enjoyed the fact that The music was limited to the bar, this allowed us to relax in our cabana. One thing that was off putting was seeing that the animation team lead and another guy would secure the sun beds and sunbath, use the pool facilities and eat from the buffet in front of guests. This felt inappropriate given other staff members who work very hard are not allowed these same perks. Guests pay a lot for this holiday, it is cheapening to see staff using it for free. Pool - There are an excellent number of pools, beautiful appearance and catering to many different needs. This being said, the pools were not cleaned often enough. Many guests often found themselves treading on tissues, cups, hairbands, avoiding bugs and other rubbish. This is a shame. Bar - The bar staff were so friendly and a pleasure, they seemed to be understaffed at the bar. The bar was servicing ice from a cooler.. they should have an ice machine. Also, it would have been better if you can order drinks from your sun lounger like in other hotels. General behaviors - The hotel has beautiful , stunning grounds, however these are not maintained as well as they should be in some areas. For the majority of my stay the corridors and lift of the family suites building were not swept or mopped. The lift was cosntantly dirty, I felt so disappointed every morning and night I utilized it to go up and down from my room. The lift mirror was filthy and not cleaned daily. The water from the grass outside sprays into the corridor of the basement too. It seems other parts of the hotel are looked after better than some. Being Greek Cypriot, I fully understood discussions had between staff. I was so disappointed to hear how rude staff talk to each other. On 3 seperate occasions I hard staff being sharp with each other; once in the restaurant between manager and waiter; once in reception and once in bar. There is definitely a need for team bonding exercises to form better relations. Individuals are very nice people but not working well enough together, which is a shame. The main entrance is beautiful, but the floors need a good mop and regularly. The concierge Christos is such a nice and helpful man. He is a pleasure to see on your return from town. Same with Eleni at reception and Kaliopi in the restaurant. The WiFi was not strong enough. It kept cutting out on calls, even sadly during a call to my father on Father’s Day.
