Just returned from a 10 day trip to this wonderful hotel. From start to finish it ticked all the boxes. We'd researched a bit before going, but it lived up to all the great reviews. The place is exceptionally clean with a top team working hard all day to keep it that way. Food was fantastic, 8 meals at the Buffet, all the food was cooked fresh, and displayed/refilled without fault. Service there was brilliant too, you're looked after from start to finish. We did have two speciality nights, Mediterranean was lovely but limited choices, Italian was an exception meal, fantastic! Bars were good, some a little slower than others, but still a service with a smile. Entertainment was great, a special mention to goes out to Dominica and her team, Lucy, Gill, Olivia, Abigail and Jacob, they certainly made our stay more 'entertaining'. They worked hard to give everyone something for their holiday 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. It's great to have some adult areas (bar and pool), but in fairness they were all great.

“Strongly recommended for a holiday.”

We booked a junior suite on half board basis. Room was spacious and comfortable as was the bed. A sun terrace was attached with a “canal” running in front. We booked a junior suite on half board basis. Room was spacious and comfortable as was the bed. A sun terrace was attached with a “canal” running in front. There is a main pool which is open to all and another adults only pool for those wishing a quieter time. Food and service in the main dining area is excellent, we were met by staff and shown to an empty table with no delay. All staff in the dining area assist in clearing and cleaning tables. Only one drinks waiter, but orders taken and drinks arriving without delay. Our booking came with “VIP package” which allowed breakfast to be had in a much smaller restaurant, which was an Italian restaurant in the evening. Hotel has ample covered parking and is right across the road from the beach. Heartily recommended for a few days or longer.

Summary The outdoor areas of the hotel are very impressive with several pools including an adults-only pool which we used and had no problem getting sunbeds due to our stay being in an off-peak period. Most of the staff (apart from one or two miserable males in the restaurant) were also really friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, other aspects of the hotel didn’t relate to the 5* rating. Food & drink Food in the buffet restaurant was not great quality and there was limited choice. Many items such as salads were repeated daily. Food was generally luke warm. The Greek restaurant was better but the Italian restaurant was mainly pasta and pizza so not great. The wine is virtually undrinkable (especially the red which I think could be used as paint stripper). Beer is very weak but drinkable and on the positive side there are some branded spirits. Room We booked a Deluxe Family Suite but it was just a room with a bed and a small settee and in need of refurbishment. The safe was an absolute joke, being unsecured at the bottom of the wardrobe. It could be easily lifted out so if you put all your valuables in it, it would be an absolute gift to a potential thief. The positives were a comfortable bed and a good shower. Entertainment The entertainment staff were very affable and hard-working laying on both daytime and evening activities. Not all to our taste but you can’t knock the team for trying.

Just spent 2 weeks at Pelagos and it is not as good as expected after reading all the raving reviews, This hotel looks like a 5* but is operating like a good 3*. We checked in and got dropped off at our room on a golf buggy, we booked a deluxe suite which was nice and spacious but was dirty when we arrived, hairs on the toilet seat in the sink dead mosquito left squished on the side of the mirror, blind held on by yellow tape, towels had dark hairs on them so that sums up the cleaning, poor every day and to top it off the cleaner would leave the balcony door open so your room was lovely and hot when you returned. Main restaurant - restaurant was nice and staff was polite, the food overall was good but quite a small selection compared to other hotels. Drinks was shocking, I have never been to a hotel where all the drinks are made 20-30 at a time and are left on the side until someone requests one so your served warm flat and watered down drinks at breakfast lunch and dinner everyday, I asked for a fresh Fanta with ice and was told they are fresh even though I could see they was all sat on the bar, I received a flat Fanta with no ice. Very poor. Adults only bar - lovely place to sit and enjoy a drink very relaxing and quite, massive thank you to Bill he was excellent and a credit to the hotel. Pool/Entertainment bar - massive thank you to Amy for treating us like royalty and Austin for always chatting and smiling unlike some of the other bar tenders. A la cartes - food was great in both but we preferred the Italian as there was a lot more options and the views were stunning from here. Entertainment - the team was fantastic and polite but for a ‘5 star ’ the shows at night was very poor and repetitive, all done by the animation team apart from the night they have off, once the show finishes music is turned of at 11pm and you have to sit in silence which sent most people to bed. Drinks - Overall the drinks were poor, majority of the cocktails you have to pay extra for as they’re not on the all inclusive and even the cocktail we paid 10 euro for was rubbish, you even have to pay for Bottled water! 4K for 2 weeks and they charge you €1.50 for a bottle of water from the bar, it’s cheaper in the shop on site!?! Overall we enjoyed our holiday but it was clear to see the hotel is ran on a budget and is definitely not a 5 star hotel, we will not be returning.
