Booked this hotel as we were told it was amazing. It is. A couple of things stopped me giving five stars. Make sure when you book, email the hotel and make sure you ask for a refurbished room. We got a one not and hasn’t been touched since 2010. Must say when I complained as it was tatty and dirty we were moved quickly. Food is amazing and excellent choice. Plenty of places to eat too with great snacks. Crepes are lush and toasties were too!! Think the draft beer is poor. Felt the wine was watered too so was a little disappointed in the drinks. You can purchase branded drinks.Pina Colada in The Bar is lovely. Having no iron in the room too is basic as you only have a laundry service so take a travel iron. Entertainment was good too. Plenty of different nights. The staff work hard and nothing is too much trouble. Clean and tidy. The guy who mops the pool area every night deserves a pay rise. One thing. The restaurant rule of no beach wear. It doesn’t state “plastic” shoes. Lots of arguments went on. The dress code allows dirty trainers and boots with jeans too but not beautiful sparkling Havannas so the shoe police are waiting to look at your feet when going into the restaurant so take a pair of non plastic shoes. Read the hotel dress code!! It’s a great hotel with everything so enjoy it 😎

We have just returned from a week at this hotel (rm 3121). Room with private pool however we were surprised it was so overlooked by adjacent balconies as we expected a little more privacy. Restaurant food was excellent, always hot, plenty of choice & constantly replenished. Fish night great, as was the Italian restaurant. All inclusive drinks definitely low alcohol. No struggle to find sun beds on the beach/grass. Didn’t go to either pool so can’t comment on situation there. Beach shoes definitely needed as it is very stoney in the sea. Evening entertainment generally very poor for a 5 star hotel, mixture of average singers & dancers, although we enjoyed the Greek evening. Hotel is very isolated but a taxi into Kos Town is 12€ each way & there’s lots to do & see there. Special mention to Achilleas who didn’t stop delivering drinks in the heat & Eleni for being so bubbly & happy, she certainly made our holiday extra special & they are both great assets to the hotel.

This hotel could be a paradise but is let down by a few important factors. We are a well travelled couple in our 30s and we stayed in the Junior suite with a hot tub that turned out to be the best choice of rooms. Short summary with detailed below: Pros: picturesque setting, clean, great facilities, fantastic rooms, air conditioning, mini fridge restocked daily, hard working lower staff, beach and pools, hot tub, some of the food. Cons: bad management, not enough sunbeds around pool, policies not upheld, not enough staff to serve/clean up drinks, really poor entertainment, cheap and horrible cocktails, a la carte dinning, not close to town. Detailed review: The room The room was spacious, with a king size bed, although hard, it was comfortable. The bathroom offered full privacy with dual sinks and a generously sized walk in shower. Large tv with usb capability but does not screen cast. I would recommend taking a multiple usb extender, as by the beds they offer one usb slot each side. We had a stunning view looking straight at the sea no more than 30ft away. You get one large bottle of water, fantas, coca cola and beer restocked every day. The tea and coffee does also, however it is random every time. Some days we ended up with 4 green teas. The air conditioning was great and was lovely and cold when we needed it to be. The cleaning service was fantastic and if the holiday was based on the room alone, I would come back. I would note that the junior suite offered more space, better location and more privacy than standard rooms. Better than the more expensive rooms with private pools which were never really occupied. Probably due to too much shade and too cold. Of course this meant more people on the sunbeds. The pools Well maintained, clean and easy accessible. There is a enough sunbeds for everyone over the whole grounds just about. But if you want a specific spot, say next to a pool, you have to be up early. They have a policy stating that any beds with towels on before 10am, they will take the towels away. They don't implement this at all. Why? They barely have enough staff to clear cups away, and don't expect drink service to your sunbeds, you are lucky if this happens once a day. This happens throughout the grounds, the grassed areas, the beach and both pools. At max capacity, we struggled to get a bed at all. The beach It is not a beautiful sandy beach. If this is what you desire, this is not for you. It is a mostly stone/pebble beach and I would recommend beach shoes. However going into the sea is still easily accessible and pleasant. The food Breakfast I have no complaints. Lots of choice for all internationals and amazing fresh orange juice. Lunches and buffet dinner were mostly as good and very typical for an all inclusive. If you stick with greek and Mediterranean dishes you won't go wrong. Anything with tomatoes there is fantastic. If anything, I would like to see more dishes like this, ratatouille was fantastic and we only had it one day out of 7. You get 2 visits to the a la carte restaurants included, with anymore visits chargeable. We firstly went to the Italian restaurant and this was a huge mistake. It was no different than the buffet food, but worse as you had limited choice. They have a beautiful wood burning oven outside, but it is weirdly not used to make the pizzas, which were premade store bought pizza bases. I have had better pizzas from kebab shops. When we spoke to the manageress on the way out and she asked how the food was, we proceeded to explain why it was terrible, but she became extremely defensive and lied to us, giving a weird speech about how people hated properly made fresh pizzas. Really? It was bizarre and she blamed us for not telling her it was bad even though she never came round to see anyone. It really set the tone for the next visit to another a la carte restaurant. We booked in the Mediterranean restaurant for the end of our stay, however one of the staff after a buffet dinner asked if we wanted to try the brand new greek restaurant. We agreed without realising at the time or being explained to us that this would be a chargeable booking. Upon speaking to the general manager on the day we realised this would be the case so asked to cancel. He was adamant that the greek restaurant would be the best food we have ever had and he would cancel the Mediterranean restaurant for us instead (which we later found it he forgot to do). The scenes were picturesque right next to the sea and what a beautiful setting. However, this was obviosuly a tester night, and with their brand new menus, they didn't even have the choices on the menu. The food was OK, but again just slightly better than the normal buffet food but the oddest part was that even though this was a first test, the general manager disappeared. There was just a couple of young servers who desperately needed directions from management and they were nowhere to be seen. So they gathered no feedback from anyone and it was a bit of a mess. The most annoying part? All the food served that night ended up in the buffet the next night, making us feel like we had been robbed of a lovely last night in the Mediterranean restaurant. The drinks If you like simple drinks such as beer, wine, a short with a mixer then there are no problems. Anything more complicated then you will be very disappointed. Some of the most basic and cheap cocktails I have ever had. Most didn't even taste like they should. Plus some other basic cocktails they only have on in the evening at an extra cost. The soft drinks are cheap and nasty syrups too. What they don't understand is that the drinks are so bad that they remove any desire to purchase any premium drinks. I believe they think that by making drinks bad it will make you want to lurchase better, but it has the opposite affect. I had a weird feeling that they were always trying to squeeze more money out of you and it left a very bad taste in my mouth. The entertainment I have seen better entertainment at 2 star hotels than whatever this was. I would say it is catered to a more older clientele, however some days it was so bad, even they left. Was like watching gcse dance groups and pub singers. Whoever is in charge needs firing. Even after the entertainment stopped, the was no music after, it was around 10.30pm some days and house lights and silence. The hotel even had the gall to do their own management ceremony as part of the evening entertainment slot. Like why on earth do people who come on holiday care about your managers in house awards? Especially when they constantly roam around doing nothing while the staff who are paid a pittance are the ones doing all the work. Miscellaneous I always love going on holiday and having a fantastic ice cream, mint chocolate chip, oreo, mars bar flavour etc or even sorbets. But there are only basic cheap flavours and it was a shame for a 4.5 star hotel. It is marketed as a 4.5 star hotel. But you pay 5 star hotel tourist tax. This is wrong. Mini Golf course is made of concrete and completely pointless. They also only have 2 half broken golf clubs to play with for the whole hotel. The toasties are really popular, I would turn the small day bar into a daily snack bar with snacks and coffees, fresh drinks and amazing ice creams. Would go down a storm. Summary The pros are extremely good. The setting is fantastic, and it has all the facilities that you need. The grounds and hotel are well kept, they offer a good choice of things to do and is a great place to chill out. If you can handle staying at the hotel and not roaming into towns, basic drinks, greek food, and are not too bothered about pebbled beaches or good entertainment than this is the holiday for you. The basic staff work really hard to make the place feel tidy and I feel for them a lot. I could write an essay on the problems with the management at this hotel, as there are some very serious issues that they just don't care about or see. I have watched them walk around and do absolutely nothing many times over. Which is a shame because this could be a paradise with some easy changes. But the big quesion is would I go back again? Not as it stands. The entertainment, a la carte restaurants, management and the drinks are too big of an issue for a place that you can't go somewhere else and should be a 4.5 star hotel.
