We returned for our 6th visit to the Oceanis, for a 2 week stay. So many good things to say about this hotel but for us the most important is the staff. They genuinely want you to have a great time and take the time to make you feel welcome. First thing we must do is thank Mrs Themis for her help with the room. We had a refurbished room in block 2 this year. Had views to the front of the hotel with the lovely gardens and the mountain. We had a smashing cleaner, sorted out some decaff coffee for our room and cleaned it every day with water and drinks topped up. The hotel food is excellent. Breakfast is taken in the main restaurant. Tables are always clean and laid out ready for you. This year we had Joyce, Kardi and Ronnie doing most of our table service. You always get offered tea, coffee or hot water when you arrive and are regularly offered top ups. The buffet has so many options, pancakes every day if you want! Lunch is served in the lower restaurant, buffet style again. We had Ronnie and Hippocrates looking after us, they were so friendly and polite. Evening meals are either taken in the main restaurant or one of the three al la carte restaurants. We got given 4 free vouchers for these when we arrived, they are all excellent. The Greek al la carte was new this year and what a treat that was. There are plenty of activities laid on at the hotel. Between us we took part in Pilates and Yoga classes as well as aqua aerobics and volley ball. The classes were presented by Marina and Elly who were both excellent. The hotel has a number of bars inside and along the beach front. We must thank Skender and Eldberto at the pool bar for such good service, drinks are regularly bought to you pool side. We used to go to the top bar in the hotel in the evening, before and after dinner, looked after by Orgestis and Vasilis. The lads are so friendly and really looked after us. We must also make mention of Mr Antonis and Fotini in the main restaurant. Mr Antonis is such a character, greeting you with a smile and some little quip, sorting out your seating and making you feel at home. We were sad to hear that Fotini is retiring this year but wish her best wishes for the future. Lastly we must thank the TUI reps on site for sorting out our passes for the return, Chelsea was so helpful, really went out of her way to make sure we were 100% happy. We meet many people there who have retuned to the Oceanis because it is so good, so don't take our word for it, take a visit.

Honest review from couple aged 31 and 32. We wanted to give an overall idea on what to expect at this hotel and Kos as an island to visit. Positives -Bedroom. We stayed in a 5106 which was a sea view, Jacuzzi, Queen room. This was very beautiful and was cleaned every day around 12:30pm. -Location. The resort is in a great location to discover other parts of Kos, such as the Thermal Springs and Kos Town. You are also close to other hotel complex's and we were able to visit these with ease. We also visited Zia for the sunset and a evening meal, you would recommend to rent a car to get here. -The A La Carte restaurant to shout out was The Cullinarium. Tasty, HOT food, nice service and above average wine. Negatives -Overall Food Experience. We found the food cold and that it lacked variety, especially for lunch. Some of the themed days were better, we struggled with not having hot food for 2 weeks whilst staying here. As mentioned above the A La Carte was a nice change. They don't have any microwaves handy, we did ask to heat our food up, however it came back the same temp. Finally the Italian A La Carte, is not A La Carte and is not really worth the visit, we went once and was put off to go again. - Overall Drink Experience. As other reviews mention, the wine was poor quality. We tried white, red and rose but all were the same. They also give free bottles in the room, but we couldn't drink it. In the main restaurant for lunch, they only served fizzy soft drinks or water, again this lacked variety. - Public transport, for some reason the hotel staff gave us an incorrect time table which meant we missed the trip. Watch out that your bus time table is correct for the day you are travelling. -Overall Entertainment Experience. As stated in other reviews, the entertain lacked substance, was repetitive and there wasn't much variety. It would have been great to have more diverse and passionate acts (we did enjoy the MJ tribute band though). -Overall Facilities. The facilities are tired, namely table tennis and mini golf. The paddle and tennis courts were better, you had to pay 20 euros to play paddle. The outdoor gym was lacking equipment and as active gym goers the main gym hours really extending to accommodate those that wish to workout before breakfast or after dinner (it was open 9am-7pm). We hope this helps in your search for the perfect place, overall we had an enjoyable stay, Kos is bliss and the weather was amazing for the time of year.
