Just come back from a lovely holiday in Kos. I was a bit apprehensive prior to arrival as I had read some reviews about the maintenance works ongoing but actually while we were there we didnt notice anything. We had booked a Divine Club Double Room with Jet2 so once we arrived we had access to the exclusive check in room which was nice you get offered a drink and some snacks, the receptionist was very helpful and friendly and told us all about the hotel and what we needed to know and made us feel very welcome. The room was slightly bigger than i expected which was good and again i had read reviews that there wasnt enough space for clothes but for us it was fine. A downside was the balcony was very small and not very private as we were on the end we could see the room opposite on the corner which was a shame as we do like to sit out on the balcony on the evenings. The breakfast was great and plenty of options and was nice as it is open until 11am. As we stayed in the divine room we had access to the rooftop bar 10am-6pm and i absolutely loved it up there the 2 bar staff were so lovely and friendly. There was plenty of choice of drinks included such as soft drinks, cocktails, iced coffee, spirits and they gave out small bag of crackers everyday. if your wondering if its worth it i would defiantly say so the only down side is there is no pool up there only hot tubs (but they are cool) but we did go down to the main pool a couple of times. We also went up to the rooftop bar in the evening for a drink before heading out for a meal and it was a nice atmosphere up there, the drinks were quite pricey but you would expect them to be as its a beautiful setting. We ate out every night and there is plenty of gorgeous restaurants along the sea front and in Kos town which is only about 10/15min walk - you can also hire those jump on scooters if you didnt want to walk and are fun. I was surprised how reasonable priced the food was in Kos most evenings we spent £40-60 for the two of us including wine. Would definitely recommend the hotel was very clean, modern and great location and all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would be back in a heart beat.

The breakfast is open until 11am which is handy, i would say there isn’t a lot of hot food options and it was a bit cold sometimes but we weren’t too bothered about it. The pool is really nice and refreshing, it’s clean and you’re allowed rubber rings and stuff in there. There aren’t a lot of sun beds so people were reserving them with towels, staff had to put signs up to say you can’t reserve for longer than 45 mins i think? But people didn’t seem to follow it and staff didn’t do anything about it. There is a little private beach with sun beds in front of the hotel that you don’t have to pay to use. One of the staff members was sat there and asked if anyone wanted a drink which was nice. The pool bar is really nice, the cocktails are nice and it’s not too pricey. The bar staff are nice and they walk around the pool so you can ask them for a drink at any time and they’ll get one for you. The food at the pool bar is actually really nice, the menu is a bit bizarre but you can request to remove certain things. We only booked a standard double room and we were actually surprised because it was bigger than it looked in the photos. We were pleased with our room. The bed was comfy and the pillows were thick. Tv. Mini Bar*. Safe was free. Wardrobe which is enough space for 2 people i’d say. Sink was in our room which was bizarre but didn’t mind at all. Toilet and Shower in bathroom, had a matt for the floor so it wasn’t too wet. Hair dryer was pretty good. Balcony was a bit small but not bothered cus we didn’t use it much. Air con was nice but doesn’t go lower than 18 degrees, we asked for a second key card and kept it in the room for a while to keep the air con running through the day to keep it cool. The hotel has a shop next door which is quite useful. I think it’s open until 12:30. There is a shop not even 5 mins down the road which was still open at 12:30/ 1am every time we walked past and we used that quite a lot cus it was cheap and good for water/souvenirs etc. We only used the rooftop bar once and it was romantic. We went up after coming in at night. The prices were a few euros more than the pool bar. Relaxing music and calm atmosphere. I think it’s open till 2:30am? Have to pay to use the gym but it looked pretty decent every time we walked past. Didn’t use the spa but we had a late check out so we were able to use the showers and have towels in the spa area after check out. It’s a 15/20 min walk to the centre. Loads of bike/car hire places. Plenty of shops and restaurants along the way. Moms Kitchen was our fav restaurant we went to! Book the 3 island boat trip! It’s a long day but it was really good for the price.

This was our first time in Kos and at the Kos Divine hotel. We had booked a divine club room, with a partial sea view through Jet2. We travelled with my cousin and her husband as the rooms were booked on the same booking we expected to get 2 rooms near each other and we were at complete opposite ends of the hotel. We arrived late at night and had some finger rolls and biscuits left for us and the minibar was free for that night only. My husband emailed the hotel before our trip as it was my cousin-in-laws birthday and our wedding anniversary whilst we were there. The hotel left wine and a fruit basket for my cousin-in-laws birthday which was lovely but they didn’t do anything for our wedding anniversary which was a bit disappointing. The room was nice although it was an odd shape with a tight space to pass the bottom of the bed to get to the bathroom. The bathroom was a wet room, the water went everywhere when you had a shower. The toiletries in the bathroom were olive oil products which were lovely leaving my skin feeling lovely. There wasn’t much storage space for clothes and we had taken our own hangers as we had read reviews about a lack of hangers. The bed was very comfortable and surprisingly the pillows were decent thickness so that you could use one, the room was clean, the air conditioning wasn’t very effective as it only went down to 18 degrees which wasn’t cool enough given how hot it was outside! We were in room 325 and there was a constant noise which sounded like wind or thunder but it was constant for most of the day/night but it did stop in the early hours so not sure if the sound came from some fans on roof below or from the new elevator from the street up to the roof terrace. It was annoying but we did get used to it. The room had a free to use safe and a fridge although it had mini bar stuff in it there was still space to add your own drinks as we constantly had large bottles of water in there. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and the staff were helpful and friendly. My biggest complaint was people went down early and put towels on sunbeds and then cleared off so often beds with towels on that couldn’t be used someone had complained so the hotel put signs up to say that you could not reserve sunbeds but I did not see anyone policing and enforcing this! The same thing happened on the roof terrace as we had access to this 10am to 6pm and people went up there and reserved sunbeds too and cleared off, leaving towels on them! The roof terrace cocktails that were available to divine club members weren’t great, I have had better quality drinks at other hotels. Also the staff were not very friendly they often sat on a stool in front of the bar looking bored. If you had a spirit and mixer it was local spirits but the plus was you got proper coke, sprite etc as the mixer but the measures were huge so the spirits were very strong. The music on the roof terrace was a bit loud and with speakers all around you couldn’t escape it. The snacks included were some flavoured mini tuck type crackers, the packs were just left on the bar but it wasn’t obvious that you could just help yourself. The cocktails that you could buy were much nicer than the divine club ones. We only went up once in the evening and that was the night we arrived the views are amazing and the seating is lovely to relax and have a drink, shame about the loud music. The pool was lovely and great for cooling off but it got very busy especially late afternoon. The snacks at the pool bar were nice especially the gyros and the burger with the mushrooms and blue cheese, they also had a good selection of ice-creams which were €2.50 per scoop in a cone and you got a good size scoop! The entertainment wasn’t the best the duo sounded like karaoke and the karaoke night was painful listening to people murdering songs which we could hear in our room as we were above the pool bar. Although we had access to the divine lounge we didn’t use it as you had to request a key from reception, we had a look around the door when it was open one night and got told we couldn’t go in as there were people in there who had just arrived and were having drinks and food for their arrival. The divine club membership allows you to keep your room until 6pm on the day of checkout, be aware that your room key disables at noon so you have to get it reactivated at reception. We had left the do not disturb sign on the door and the staff had been in and emptied the bin and left us fresh towels which was great as we had been in the pool so it was nice to get a shower and change before leaving. The hotel is in a great location, plenty of nice restaurants within a couple of minutes walk and a 15 minute walk into the town. It’s a nice hotel and hardly any children there but not sure what clientele they are aiming for as lots of young couples there and some middle aged like us, but I wouldn’t think it would appeal to the older generation due to the music played at the pool and on the roof terrace. The balcony had 2 chairs and a table and lovely view of the pool and a partial sea view and it was perfect for watching the sunset as my husband was ill one night and went to bed so I sat on the balcony reading and watched the sunset. We enjoyed our stay but not sure if I would return.

Nice hotel for Greece, location is perfect, nice pool, rooms big and modern, we had a suit. All away from the naff town with its pushy eateries and shops and you have the beach in front of you that you can eat out on and watch the beautiful sun set. Food is basic and a little strange "Burgers with mushrooms" although breakfast was fine, I would recommend going just B&B as we did. Staff very helpful and friendly we wanted to change our room and it was a “can do attitude” which was refreshing. Negatives would be naff pool music, the live music and the “entertainment” was awful but if you like karaoke, Greek nights and bingo then crack on but it just didn’t go with the style of the hotel. Gym is full of locals and you have to pay for it if you're again not upgraded. The hotel has a mini supermarket connected to it and we found this useful. The roof bar was excellent with fantastic views and the chilled vibe I look for in a hotel, chilled tunes nice quality drinks perfect but only available after 6pm for none upgraded guests which was fine as there was no pool on the roof, only hot tubs. Overall a nice hotel but Kos was a little commercial with mostly tourist food options. Cleaning was ok but seemed a little rushed and not perfect but ok. Unfortunately there was a fight outside our door room 101 in the early hours with lots of shouting and swearing which wasn't ideal and not what you'd expect of this kind of hotel especially as we had our son with us but I guess you can't pick your visitors and not everyone can take the booze! If you want to go to the Kos town area I would say this is a great choice if you're over 40.
