“Ignore the bad comments, this hotel is great”

We booked this hotel for 10 days in June with Travelodeal, and I honestly don't know why the reviews were so bad. The rooms were very good and large, the food second to none, the staff excellent lovely pools, found nice beds around the pools after breakfast around 09.00am, no selfish people putting down towels and turning up hours later.. Nice entrainment in the evenings, not too much, but enough, temperature was around 32 degrees but a nice breeze made it very comfortable. All in all we, a party of 4 in 2 rooms had a lovey time and neither of us would hesitate in going back again. So please ignore the bad comments of which none are true..

We’ve had a week here which was booked 3 days before coming, so we had no expectations. The reception and bar area are huge with lots of seating but no aircon so quite warm. We had a junior suite which was huge, the furniture is all bit brown and dated but functional, the carpet has seen better days not as bad as some people seem to find it. The bathroom was clean and everything worked, I think these rooms could do with a re-furb in the near future. All the staff are great and really friendly, especially as they have to put up with very rude arrogant people! We had ultra all inclusive so we could have 3 lunches and3 evening meals at the A la carte restaurant which was pretty nice. The main restaurant is buffet style with plenty of options, we found everything we ate was nice ( though a few British people were moaning while we were there ) The bar staff work super hard and are always friendly with the UAI you can have branded drinks which was nice. The animation team do various activities in the day and there is an evening show. The pools are fine if a little small and the smaller of the 2 should be adults only and no ball games so you swim without getting a ball bounced off your head. The hotel definitely needs more umbrellas as don’t have enough and the ones they do are a bit knackered. We hired bikes which are pretty cheap we paid less than 5 euros a day. These were used to cycle into Kos town for wander and went to the beach for 3 days of the week, they are better the far side of the port. There are cycle paths all the way along the coast so no need worry about busy roads and traffic. To sum up we had a really nice holiday here. I think if you’re expecting The Savoy or The Hermitage you will be disappointed but for the money you pay for this holiday you get a very good 4 star hotel.

This hotel is an all inclusive, rated 5 stars. Not sure this is totally justified. There were many positives such as: - The room was very spacious and comfortable - great view of the sea - The staff throughout were very pleasant and helpful - High marks for the wellness spa - The quality and variety of the food at the buffet and the a la carte restaurant was very good although only allowed 3 reservations. - Evening entertainment was very good. However at a 5 star hotel one would expect a coffee/espresso maker with pods etc. instead of a water kettle and instant coffee - Housekeeping was erratic coming at various times during the day and inconsistent replenishing the bathroom amenities (shower gel, etc) - The bathroom itself left a-lot to be desired. - The sink drained poorly as well as the bathtub. - Hot water was lukewarm at best. - Every evening an awful smell emanated from the plumbing from whatever was happening in the room(s) above. - We reported ants on the the bathroom counter. They did respond quickly to fumigate but they weren’t totally eliminated - The communication of the available services and inclusions leaves room for improvement. - Limited tour and excursions services on the hotel. Resorted to going on line to book. Despite certain shortcomings, overall we did enjoy our stay
