Have had a fabulous week here, rooms lovely and comfortable, pool and external areas very clean and most staff are very friendly. Food has been lovely , we ate out one day and it wasn’t as good as hotel food. We hired a car and had two days exploring the beautiful island. We would definitely consider returning.

Lovely place, food was amazing, can not understand some other reviews here! Best chicken nuggets ever, as well as all the salads! Breakfast was good too, we didn't even try everything because there were so many good options! There were some items the same every time, but also plenty variation (e.g. every day different meats and some Greek traditional option). Beer was great, low alc% (2.5-3% ?), but that made it ideal for warm afternoons. Gym was not good, no weights, no bars, no dumbbells, not even a bench, rowing machine didn't work... Staff very friendly and helpful, swimming pools good, plenty of sunbeds (although some other guests were afraid there weren't and would put towels even before breakfast... sigh...). If we come back to Kos we would gladly stay here again! Location is so-so, good bus connection to Kos town, but to the sea it is a bit far to walk, especially on hot days, there is some shuttle though, we didn't use it as we rented a scooter or walked. Not much to do or see very near the hotel. Good value for money.

Arrived with TUI, taken to a room right outside the pool, 7 steps to be exact, superb location especially looking at the stars in the evening. Was disappointed in the room when entering as it was one of the old rooms and not white and modern like the others. The room was large with a large bed and it was clean. The bed extremely comfortable for someone with a bad back. The light socket was loose on the wall and the TV not working. Told reception and these were fixed the following day. The curtain in the room stopped at the Aircon unit which was on top of the door and a light from the pool that was on until early hours came through the room. We hung a towel from the roof of the veranda to block the light coming in. We had the perfect location, the beds and pillows very comfortable, so it didn't matter that the room was not modern, it served it's purpose for two weeks. The resort is a family run resort often seeing the family on the grounds. The shop has most of what you need and is not too expensive and is run by very nice people. The staff on the resort are exceptional and the pool bar staff work so hard and are super friendly, thank you for your kindness. One woman on the front Bar was not very friendly and some said rude but I never found her rude just unapprociable. Demetre the owner was such a lovely human being despite running a hotel always took time to talk to you and would help whenever she could, often mingling with the guests. Angie on reception was superb also, very friendly and tried to help in every situation. The pool was lovely but the sunbeds rather hard so we bought lilos from the shop 13 euros and laid on them on top of the beds, problem solved as we were there for two weeks, left them for a lovely German couple staying in the next apartment. The hotel has mostly German and Dutch with some English and this rather refreshing, we met really nice people and despite our language barrier we were shown and told about parts of German and Dutch lives which was really refreshing. If you like cats then you will love here there were many cars roaming the hotel some let you stroke them some don't. The hotel feeds them and they seem to have a lovely life. One cat mellaca found it's way into our room most days and waited for us to come home then came in and slept in our room every night, had a real connection with my partner, he's a cat man. Was told she has lived in the hotel for many years and she picks someone and spends the time with them. I was sad to leave her but knowing her life is good and free and she's cared for by everyone, that's nice. The food in the hotel was for us a let down. I am vegetarian and on the first day there was lettuce and rice for me to eat as they only had an aubergine dish which i do not eat aubergine and no other choice, I understand this and always allow for lack of options but only one option was disappointing. The salads were mixed with meat or tuna their were no signs stating vegetarian but before leaving this was rectified. If you have an issue with something speak to Demetre as she said if they do not know what is wrong how can they improve. So tell them your views and I'm sure it will be rectified if it can. They offered to do special dishes for me in which I had a jacket potato and some pasta and plain sauce, I was so happy but the next day nothing and I was now by this point embarrassed to keep asking. My partner had a bad belly, he's a builder and can eat anything a meat eater also but found the food tasteless and bland and after having his bad belly for 5 days decided he would no longer eat there. There was little for me also so we ate in town. Others spoke of bad tummies and others were perfectly fine and enjoyed the food, it may not have been the food but a bug but we will never know. The walk into town is about 20 minutes or you can get the bus outside the hotel but not always reliable. The Sunsets and the moon in the evenings are exceptional. Kos town is not far and is really worth a visit. Get the bus for this a taxi is 19 Euros and the bus is quicker also, just be prepared for the bus to be late, not coming back, it leaves sharply. Under 3 euros for the bus. Sadly we didn't get to see much of the island as we had to use the money we had for trips on eating out. The town of Tinagki is really lovely albeit quiet early June, it was picking up as we came home, not roudy at all, nice restaurants, there is one place called memories that has a disco and good music. The town I believe is catered for more age group I would say over 40, so not knowing if it's different in the height of the season, this we liked as we are not late nor drinking people, we have a couple but that's it. Talking of drinks the hotel alcohol was rather poor the beer was very weak which I do not mind but if you didn't like the alcohol, you could go into the shop and buy a beer or drink of your choice then hotel has no problem with this if you sit around the bar. The beers were less than 3 euros I believe. The Entertainment was one night a greek night the other a disco, the greek night was nice but sore hands from clapping, the disco was really poor, he should have gaged his audience and techno not great for over 50's mostly even the younger ones and there were some in their 20s students very lovely and respectful did not enjoy it either, not one danced and people looked bored. Hopefully the hotel if it had more to do and improved their food it would be really nice but remember this is from my perspective as I said others enjoyed the food and you cannot please everyone. My real let down was TUI, I have been holidaying with them for over 30 years and I think this may be my last have not decided yet. There were no times to see the rep, the reception did not know either when the rep would be in. They were mostly late when they were there, we were given a time and waited nearly 3 hours for them, was told by reception to go to our room as we had waited in reception for an hour for her, two hours later she had still not come as we were told she would or someone would come down and get us, i went to reception at 8pm after waiting 3 hours only to be told she didn't have time to see us when we had an appointment with her. We had tried to move hotels solely because of the food but after spending days with talking to the TUI app, was told this was not possible. The following day the manager of Tui came and spoke to me so rudely I was honestly flabbergasted and was in tears accusing me of being rude to people, i could not believe it, its not who i am nor what i would want to be and am a friendly and warm person as is my partner. The Rep and I actually had a row as I was not going to be spoken down to nor talked to so unnecessarily and untrue, long story short She apologised, i apologised and i do not hold a grudge. Apparently a Travel Agent went bust and TUI had to take in people at loads of hotels, so this is why they could not move us, which is understandable but sadly many days spent wasted, but it is what it is, an experience. Conclusion: Nice hotel, nice staff, clean, comfy beds, shop on site, location is good, mostly Dutch and German people which I liked very nice people, beautiful Sunsets, quiet in the evenings again I liked, sitting in the hammocks looking up at the night sky, wonderful. Nice pool, very clean restaurant, fabulous restaurant staff, food not many options especially for vegans/vegetarians. The deserts were not nice and no ice-cream in the restaurant only at the pool for 1 hour whereby the queue was very long. The pool staff exceptionally hard working. Town not far, Greek people lovely and friendly. Try all the restaurants from the top of the road all very nice and not too dear. Starter, main and two drinks around 35-45 Euros between us, also large helpings. I could never finish it all. Some small improvements and this could be a higher star hotel, good luck Demetre and staff your all very nice and work so hard. Thank you for doing what you could and being so nice...
