“Enjoyable and Relaxing Stay”

We have just returned from a 1 week stay on a B & B basis. Immediately upon arrival we were made to feel welcome at this family run hotel. Check-in was friendly and efficient and our room was already prepared (arrived mid-afternoon). The friendly and personal approach continued throughout our stay and was a welcome change from the indifferent service sometimes received at larger hotels. The room was basic but very clean with bed linen and towels changed daily. Despite some reviews, we found the beds comfortable and enjoyed a quiet nights sleep every night. There is a small fridge provided and we did find that this needed to be unplugged each night as it tended to become quite noisy. One thing to note is that although numerous tv channels are provided, it is aimed more towards the German guests with only 1 channel being in English (Nickelodeon - a cartoon channel). Breakfast (continental) didn't provide the best choice and tended to be the same every day (apart from scrambled / fried eggs changing). However, if a continental breakfast isn't to your liking there are plenty of place to buy a full English breakfast. For the size of the hotel, it has a very large pool with generous opening hours (8am - 8pm). Plenty of quality sun loungers are provided and we had no problems finding free ones( even if arriving late to the pool). The pool bar is excellent and provides some great food and drinks at very reasonable prices. One thing to note about the pool is that there is no easy access. Access is by metal steps attached to the side of the pool - those with mobility problems may struggle to enter and exit the pool. Suitable for - almost everyone looking for a hassle free, quiet, relaxing break at a hotel providing friendly and personal service. Only a 5 minute walk to the nearest bars and restaurants but far enough away to ensure a good nights sleep. Not suitable for - anyone that wants to enjoy the pool but has mobility problems or anyone (English) that likes to take a break from the sun and unwind by watching tv. Overall, I would highly recommend a stay at Tigaki's Star where you will experience the most relaxing hassle free stay with some excellent friendly service.

We've just returned from a week at this lovely hotel. We had a standard room, which was basic but had everything needed, comfy beds, TV, shower and bath, air con, fridge, safe and even toiletries. We've just returned from a week at this lovely hotel. We had a standard room, which was basic but had everything needed, comfy beds, TV, shower and bath, air con, fridge, safe and even toiletries. Towels were changed daily upon request. Breakfast was 'fine' . Basic continental plus sausages, bacon and eggs. The pool area, like the rest of the hotel, was spotless. There were plenty of comfy beds available. Remember to bring your beach towel! Service at the pool side bar was 5 star! Thank you! Drinks and food were delicious! I recommend the Greek pizza! The hotel is a 5 min walk away from the centre, where there are plenty of bars and restaurants, but none too rowdy. We particularly enjoyed our time at Memories bar and the King Size beach. I throughly recommend this little gem hotel .

“Wonderful, relaxing place .”

Absolutely wonderful place to stay . Immaculate in every area , rooms are dated but cleaned and fresh towels provided every day of your stay , the pool area is beautiful with ample comfortable sun beds , never over busy . Absolutely wonderful place to stay . Immaculate in every area , rooms are dated but cleaned and fresh towels provided every day of your stay , the pool area is beautiful with ample comfortable sun beds , never over busy . Breakfast is adequate , although the addition of a toaster machine would be beneficial .The staff are all extremely friendly , and the location is perfect just quietly out the way , but only a short stroll to everything . We shall definitely return to this lovely place .

A one week stay in late September. The courtesy and friendliness of the staff could not be faulted, perhaps the best feature of our stay. The rooms are a bit basic, but with everything you need, plenty of storage space, comfortable bed, adequate bathroom except for the nylon shower curtain which did cling a bit when you were taking a shower. The hotel site is excellent, a short walk to the town, on site a very decent size pool with plenty of sun loungers, shady areas perhaps a bit lacking. The gardens are lovely with the 4 or 5 bedroom blocks dotted around and definitely not crowded in on each other. Breakfast was definitely not a high point, a very basic buffet, mini frankfurter sausages swimming in water were not a good look. Most disappointing was the complete lack of fresh fruit, apart from a few slices of water melon, otherwise it was slices of tinned pineapple or peach. Seems like not a lot of imagination or thought went into the breakfast catering. The hotel does not have a restaurant, it has a snack bar which is ideal for a poolside lunch or drink, but does not cater even for a decent evening meal. However, there are several very good restaurants within a short walk. It is what it says it is, a good basic three star hotel.
