“Bliss”

It was one of our favourite holidays ever. We stayed from May 17th to 24th. We always managed to get a sunbed by the pool at around 9:30/10:00am, after delicious breakfast. The sunbeds are so comfortable. It was super hot when we went (29c) and some days we chose to sit on the beach sunbeds for more breeze. The food was so fantastic, we only ate in the buffet restaurant because the standard was so high, it was incredible. The choice of drinks on the all inclusive package was super, not restricted to just house wines or spirits. The staff at the pool bar work so hard, constantly busy, they were fantastic! We'd always pop to the pool bar after lunch for a glass of wine and pina colada before heading back to the sunbed. Yes the pools were freezing, but by 3pm you needed to get in there due to the heat, and it was ok after 20 seconds haha. My partner was in the pool floating to cool down and the lifeguard appeared straight away - I was like don't worry he's not dead, he's just hot. :o) All the people there with kids looked like they were having a great time, so many fun inflatables that the shop sold. Every day a Unicorn would float by. In the evenings, the bar upstairs is so relaxing and pretty, great drinks service. The room we picked was the most basic in the package but we were so surprised how big it was, aircon was great no weird noises haha. The pillows weren't great, but we never like hotel pillows, usually take our own away with us but we forgot this time. We wanted a 7 day relaxing break, in pretty surroundings with great food and drink and it was exactly this. Definitely returning one day, and maybe with my niece and nephew - as they will love this place! We don't think we would come here in the Summer, as we found May to be the maximum temperature we could cope with. It was 29c but felt like 35c. Hope this review helps :o)

First of all this is not in my opinion a 5 star, the staff are lovely and the facilities over all are good but there is still areas of improvement overall. If you don't like birds then don't go cos they are everywhere, nests inside the hotel and they try and eat lunch with you. Kids thought it was great though. The food is good but nightmare to actually get bookings for the a la carte so def do this in advance. Unless you get up at 4am you wont get a sun bed but the beach is lovely so we went there instead as couldn't be one of those lounger on a towel families! We went into Kos for dinner and it was so nice so def recommend this. The maids started the week changing our beddng every day, fresh towels etc but by the end of the week was def less monkeys given and they just folded and put back our dirty ones and no bin bags in bins etc. Don't go expecting 5 star or you will be disappointed, if you go expecting a good 4 star experience then go for it.

“Average Hotel not 5 Star”

Managed to relax and enjoy our stay but certainly not 5 Star!! Not a good experience from the start. Arrived around 2:00 am due to flight delay. No smile or welcome. We were sat on the soffas for a good 40 minutes while staff walked around and asked us to complete forms on i pads. No food or drink while waiting. Eventually got our room that was nice and clean but a little dated. The first morning we walked down for breakfast to a lovely dining hall and tables set outside with lovely views. Unfortunately no clean tables and nowhere to sit. We stood around and were told “In a minute” from some pretty rude staff. Eventually went to a table ourselves but no cuttlery on table and nobody cleaned the table after the previous occupants. Don’t bother waiting for them to bring you coffee you could be waiting forever. We went to get our own tea but had to ask several times for cups. By the time we had our cups the tea was cold. Food itself was delicious with a good choice to suit all. Same is true for evening meals. After a few days we realised that the service was a little better indoors especially if you sat by the entrance to the dining hall. But certainly not 5 star service. My husband had a few minutes swim in the freezing cold pools that were mostly empty. No one could stay in them to long. Forget trying to relax on the comfortable sun loungers around the pool area, they will be taken by 7:00 am all covered with towels although no guests in sight. There were signs by the management stating that this did not happen! A joke!! We were lucky enough to find room on the less comfortable sun loungers in the beach area. Which was nice as you could relax to the sound of the sea and enjoy the cool sea breeze. The grounds and gardens are beautifully kept and the reception area is stunning but work was still being done around the hotel. As we had a late departure flight the hotel offered us a free room for 30 minutes for a shower. Imagine our horror to find dirty towels from previous guests all over the bathroom and dirty baths and sinks. Disgusting!! We had looked forward to lovely relaxing week in the sun. We did manage this but no thanx to the staff and hotel service. What a shame as there is great potential here. I would advise people to stay bed and breakfast at this hotel and walk accross the road to Romeos Greek Taverna where you will have a five star service by a lovely host and his family and delicious five star food.
