I was slightly worried about our trip after reading some negative reviews, but we had a wonderful time. We were there for our silver wedding anniversary and as well as the lovely cleaning ladies leaving petals on the bed (and a bottle of wine the day before), we also had a bottle of sparkling wine at our a la carte meal in La Cucina. It really helped to make the day special (despite already being all inclusive). We were booked in for the Couples Massage in the Michaelangelo hotel next door. It was very nice but expensive for what you get and a bit of a walk uphill on a hot day! I've since found out that you can request assistance at Reception. We were in a beachfront bungalow and it was perfectly placed between 2 pools and the 3 restaurants. All within a pleasant walk and the only steps that bothered us were from the beach up to the top swim up pool. We didn't bother walking up there again! We spent most of our time at the beach or the Activity pool at La Cucina. The beach is stony and despite beach shoes, I found it quite difficult getting in and out of the sea. I am quite clumsy though and other people seemed to manage okay! The Activity pool at La Cucina was perfect. There were normally beds free at 10am but not long after. The music was mostly quiet and nobody seemed to want to do any activities while we were there, which suited us! The food in the hotel was great, plenty to choose from but make sure you cover it up afterwards. We were all inclusive and had breakfast and lunch in Thalasa as it was nice and calm. There is slightly less choice, but it was a nicer experience for us. We loved all the different salads plus all the other things. The cocktails aren't the best compared to another hotel we went to in Corfu, but we particularly liked the Amaretto sour and the Hugo and Campari spritz . The beer and wines were perfectly good. More choice on all inclusive drinks would be better. The Rituals range of shower/shampoo and conditioner was excellent so no need to bring your own. All in all, a great holiday. We'll book again

Transfer was around one and a half hours, but as it was daylight, there is a good chance to see the sights along the way. Reception / check in was really easy and our suitcases were taken to our room by the hotel porter. We were given a nice cold glass of fresh lemonade while we were checking in. Room, we upgraded to a sea viw bungalow (104). Which was close to the main restaurant / main pool and the Italian restaurant, which was ideal for us. The staff are so friendly and helpful, always wanting to help. We had a meal in the Italian restaurant one night which was really nice, you choose a starter, main and desert. The restaurant is situated next to the main pool, which at night has a really nice atmosphere. There are 3 pools with plenty of sun loungers. We never had any problems getting. The loungers are really comfortable, with thick matresses on them. We stayed at the main pool, which had great view over the sea. The beach is a pebble beach. TOP TIP is to take some beach shoes, like hot tuna's (other shoes are available), there is a shop about 50 meters from the main entrance which sell beach shoes and other thing, pictures are on google earth. Night time entertainment is on everynight, which is fairly good for a smaller hotel. You can either use the waiter service or go the bar yourself. The hotel is around 5 miles from Kos town. TOP TIP, catch the bus as taxis will cost a lot more as you are a tourist. Overall Dimitra hotel is a really nice hotel, we will definitely be returning

I have just returned home from a second and possibly last stay here as a single parent with my daughter. I have always had the view that if a place is magical that the second time the magic will be gone so have never stayed over the years in the same place twice but based on last years experience why would I not wish to return. Sadly the magic was gone. … housekeeping staff did an amazing job, poolside and beach service was sloppy to the point of asking for towels to take to the beach at 3pm I was advised there were none left but there was plenty of time for me to walk to other pool areas to pick some up because the pools did not close until 6 pm. On a 10 night all inclusive stay at arrival we were advised that we could make one booking at each of the a la carte restaurants but should book 2 or 3 days ahead on day 4 we approached the reception staff to be advised we needed to download the app to book which we did to discover no availability at either so for the duration we used the flavours restaurant where food was very repetitive with bolognese remained on the lunchtime and evening menus every day and choices were significantly reduced from last year and restaurant organisation was sometimes shambolic. Staff appear to have lost their smiles and attentiveness, sadly George was knowhere to be seen. Your staff who deserve the most credit from me are your valets, staff at the top pool and your housekeepers, I would suggest if you were re-rated today your 5* would reduce, I would not be rating you at 5 and more like a borderline 3.5 to 4. I am deeply disappointed by our experience when last year I would have rated you 6* what went wrong?

“We did not get the bungalow we booked”

We stayed on the 3rd of June 24 for one week, it was supposed to be special for my husbands 70th birthday. We booked a sea view bungalow. We arrived in the early hours of the morning, very weary and the first thing my husband said was this is not a bungalow. We were exhausted and went to bed. The next day I asked at the reception why we were not in a bungalow that we booked. The receptionist informed me quite loudly that we were in a bungalow. We proceeded to disagree and I asked the young lady to explain what the buildings directly in front of ours were . Her reply was bungalows. I said I live in a bungalow at home and yes indeed the ones in front of ours are bungalows, however ours is four rooms ground level four rooms above ! It’s a small apartment block. We were left feeling very upset and frustrated. We have since taken this up with the agents. Please be careful when.booking these to avoid disappointment
