This was quite possibly the best holiday I’ve ever had. It was just me and my mum for a week, rotting next to the pool under the Greek sun.. The biggest star of the show was the staff, though. I’ve never been made to feel more welcome by a team- the reception staff, the bar staff, the cleaners, the porters, the shopkeepers, the entertainment crew. There wasn’t a single bad experience with anyone in the hotel. The food was lovely, and there was enough variety so I could have something different every meal. The drinks and cocktails were all delicious too. Ouzo has gained two new fans. I do need to place extra emphasis on how amazing ALL the entertainment crew (animators) were. Selina, Lucas and Lillie stood out though, and were absolutely phenomenal- always smiling, happy to see people, willing to go above and beyond for everyone. The shows they’d put on in the tent every night were amazing too. They’re the most impressive dancers and singers. To rehearse for those, on top of the activities they do during the day.. I’m surprised they haven’t been given a sainthood yet. One night, Mum stayed at the room and I went to Kos town with the crew, and I couldn’t have felt safer. We played beer pong, had a dance, had a chat.. Selina tried to teach me to vogue and I think I’ll just be sticking to my dad-dancing for now. It’s up there as one of my best nights out ever. This was a week to remember, and I can only thank Blue Lagoon, its amazing staff, and the breathtaking sunsets for making that happen. Ps.. I threw in a picture of the sunset, and my favourite scraggly cat/chicken duo. I called them toilet brush and goujon. Yamas! xx

“Pleasant surprise”

I was looking for an all inclusive resort that looked high standard while also being a bit more affordable than the options I usually go for. I have been to more expensive all inclusive resorts in Egypt, Curaçao and Gambia, but now I do realise that a more expensive hotel does not have to mean it’s better. Let’s start with the food. A lot of the reviews claim the food got repetitive, but I don’t know what resort they have been staying at where that is not the case. Like I said, I stayed in multiple (more expensive) resorts and they food there was just as (if not more) repetitive as it was here. One thing to note though is that the food is always extremely fresh and never cold. A lot of the food comes locally from the island which also gave me a good feeling about it. I have not had a single dish in the restaurants or buffets that was bad, everything is nicely prepared. There is also a lot of options for everyone! For picky eaters there is always different pastas, pizzas and fries. More of a seafood person? Also no problem because they also serve fish and other yummy meals. There are two buffets, I definitely recommend to go to both since they are a little different. We really loved the crepe stand too! We booked the cheapest room options which I believe is just a normal room with a bed and bathroom, but we got upgraded for free by the resort to a family room. It was just the two of us so we didn’t need the extra beds, but the rooms were very spacious and it was a nice addition. The room was clean and every day our beds were made very tidy. We always got fresh towels and they never touched our personal belongings. If you needed extra body was or anything like that it was also no problem. The staff was also very friendly and attending. In the restaurants they were always quick to refill your drinks and they always welcome you with a smile. The absolute best was the reception staff. Any questions we had they immediately helped us with. They provided us with a cab whenever we needed one and gave us tips for exploring the island. Sofia from reception gave us the warmest welcome and has been an amazing kind of guide to our vacation. She was always there when we needed her! It was honestly so helpful knowing who to go to if we needed anything at all. Another thing we really enjoyed is the other facilities of the resort. We went to the small arcade a few times to play a few games in the evening. We also liked going to bingo night or the evening shows. The evening shows were not that amazing, but we honestly still had a blast by how silly it was at times. The only downside that I can think of is if your room is in the satellite area. The thing is, this resort has a very odd shape. I don’t know how to explain it, but if you are in this area it sometimes feels a little excluded. The satellite area has a kids pool, an adults only pool and some bars, but no food options. It is a 5-10 min walk from the reception, but you can also wait for a golf cart (which might take a while). It is a bit inconvenient, but we honestly had a lot of fun talking to the staff operating the golf carts so in the end we did make some friends out of it. The adults only pool was our favourite, it was always really calm and always had beds available! All the pools were pretty clean, like the rest of the resort, but with the big pool we had a bit of trouble finding a bed sometimes. I booked my flight with TUI which deems this resort as a 4-star hotel, al though the resort itself claims it’s a 5-star hotel. I would say for the price and quality it’s safe to say it’s more like a 4-star hotel. Overall it is a very good resort for the price and I would definitely recommend it to others wanting to go to beautiful Kos.

After a rubbish start to our holiday due to booking a tui packaging but being put on a easy jet flight, with the terrible service at Bristol airport missing our flight then travelling to Gatwick - cancelled flight and back to Bristol the following day, missing a day of our holiday. Tui at Gatwick were really helpful and when we arrived they sorted us out a day later with a airport transfer and we checked into the blue lagoon, the tui reps in the hotel weren’t very helpful or friendly. The hotel facilities great especially for families, lots of choices to chill and many pools, mine and my partners favourite area was the adult only pool. No way is this hotel a 5* it’s definitely a family 4* the food is a low 4* especially the evening meals, the alcarte restaurants are a waste of time, especially with added costs for alcoholic drinks and still self service with basically the same options as the buffet, however the Chinese food was very tasty. I’d like to give a huge 5* to Jonald the bar man in adult only section he made our pool days also 5* to the maid on floor 6000 she was a amazing and super friendly every morning. Beach is average and again extra costs for sun loungers which is naughty although the most beautiful sunsets. Kos town 30 min walk which is super pretty and definitely worth a visit. If your couple please think twice about staying here as lots of children or ask for the adult only section. Majority of the staff are very friendly and attentive but found some reception staff pretty useless and no help at all, room keys never seemed to work, the piano bar and ilos bar good chill vibes, hotel clean. finally I’d like to say again the resort is perfect for families.

Great hotel. Pools and water parks are great! Staff are friendly and it is great fun going around the hotel in buggy’s. The hotel is clean and lovely to be at! We really enjoyed our week here. The food at the main buffet is fine but not the best buffet we have experienced. Some of the food is bland and there is a lack of variance. We were disappointed with the hotel restaurants - the Chinese one was ok. The Greek one was not great and the Italian was extremely disappointing. Overall a great hotel but the food really lets it down!
