We absolutely loved our stay here, the food, staff and atmosphere were great. We were greeted very warmly on arrival and were very happy with our room, we had only booked the basic land view but ended up with a great view of the grounds and sea. For the basic room it was very spacious and the bathroom was still very nice as we weren’t sure what to expect. I didn’t find it was catered towards non-English, there were a mix of nationalities and we didn’t feel singled out for being English - all staff spoke very good English and very always polite and asking how we were enjoying our stay. The bar staff especially round the pool were great, it’s a nice touch when they recognise you and remember your order! All staff in restaurant were friendly and attentive, we had to ask for knives and forks occasionally but when dining at busy times they can only re-set the tables so fast alongside clearing up after people leaving. Entertainment was very good, don’t expect cruise ship level but it was great fun doing things like the quiz night (we won wine and massage), the band performances and the daytime entertainment like the aqua fitness. Thomas really gets everyone involved and is great on the mic for getting people to join in. Yes the beach has stones, it starts with sand and gets stonier towards the sea. I got sea shoes which I always do anyway and it didn’t bother me or my partner that much, but our local beach at home is stoney too. Beds were 4€ but had a lovely cushion and it felt like a treat having a beach day. Its in the rules you can’t reserve beds by the pool but we learnt on the first day people do anyway, but there are loads of beds still piled up that you are free to take from and out wherever so we never had an issue getting right by the pool. Lastly, we really liked the food. We were there for 2 weeks and didn’t find it repetitive as it seemed to change a lot each day. We didn’t eat at the barbecue much aside from lunch but the restaurant food especially the meat was always cooked to perfection and salad always looked fresh. I was prepared not to like the cocktails but I really enjoyed them, staff were quite generous with the alcohol and the drinks in the evening we sometimes had to ask for smaller measures if it was earlier on! Overall I would really recommend the Atlantis, it’s a 4-star all inclusive and we feel we got exactly what we paid for, we will likely try another island if we go to Greece again but if someone I knew was visiting Kos I would definitely tell them to come here.

The hotel is very very nice, people say it’s “outdated” however not too sure what they mean, if you’ve been abroad before it is like every 4 star hotel you’ve booked. There are 2 “adult” pools and one small one for babies which we didn’t expedt so it was a nice suprise they were big pools. The bar staff work very hard all day and can’t fault them. Never qued for longer than 2 minutes. There were always sunbeds available up until around 9:20. staff removed towels if people tried to reserve them at around 9am which is helpful. The food was nice and plenty of options however sometimes the foreigners acted like foreigners there is little English there however isn’t that what you expect on a holiday? The double beds are 2 single mattress which is abit frustrating but not the end of the world. The entertainment team have darts, waterpolo, aqua arobics throughout the day. Mini disco 8:30 every day for the kids and then dancers/ singers on nights and a DJ on a Saturday. Over all quite impressed and very little to fault!

So we booked this hotel for early July. 37° way to hot for us Brits Hotel was clean and tidy and lots of amenities. Three pools good size and plenty of sunbeds, although the Germans were there in abundance up at 7 hogging the sunbeds with the towels which is annoying. Unfortunately the hotel is full of Germans who are quite ignorant as usual to staff and like. I would say although the hotel carers for all I would mainly say it's best for families and if you want a quiet time relaxing around the pool there's screaming kids lol day long this place isn't for couples. Food plentiful choices and variety. Although the restaurant can be like feeding time at the zoo but staff are on hand to clear away and be attentive. Drinks, we went all inclusive and they are sometimes a bit dubiously watered down and not strong. Accommodation is clean and staff are really good. Unfortunately the hotel is a bit dated there are long corridors with say ten rooms off each corridor and are very noisy due to kids running up and down the tiles and banging doors. We asked to move as some idiots were banging on our door so we were moved to a bungalow near the pool and beach. If you can at the point of booking ask for a bungalow. Tip catch the bus outside the hotel it drops you off in Kos town for 3 euros for two people although it only takes twenty minutes to walk. If you do go to Kos town book princess Diana or Katrina boat trips, €30 each less busy keep away from the pirate ships my idea of hell. To many people and rowdy. We hired a car, just on the left walking back towards the hotel, €35 for the day. We travelled the island in a day and saw everything. Summarily good for families. Entertainment can be hit and miss. Food plentiful and variety. Accommodation tired and noisy go for the bungalow.. staff and reception are really helpful despite some negative comments on hear. They do seem to cater for our friends the Germans. If you can get up for 8am reserve a sun lounger before the Germans there faces are a picture. Lastly the beach has reasonable prices for the sunbeds €8 for two. Beach is stoney so take your beach shoes. Sea was chilly even with the temperature @37° but soon warmed up. We took our snorkels but not much to sea.
