It was our eighth time in twelve years. Everything is always wonderful: staff, cleanliness, kitchen, sea and swimming pools. Special thanks to Mrs. Katerina K. (reservations manager) who assigned us a wonderful room as always. We hope to return soon. We Love Portobello Royal. Enrico L.

“Amazing”

The resort is amazing, thank you to Emma for the amazing massage from the spa and thank you to George from the main restaurant for being amazing and entertaining to my baby girl Ria. This was our second visit to the resort and we will be back again.

### "Mixed Experience at Porto Bella Royal" Our family of four, including two kids aged 5 and 11, recently spent a 7-day holiday at Porto Bella Royal. We upgraded to a swim-up room, which was the highlight of our trip. It was our first time choosing this type of accommodation, and we highly recommend it for the convenience and enjoyment it provided. The hotel itself was generally lovely and clean. However, we did notice a significant number of bird nests in the corridors, leading to birds frequently flying in and out and leaving behind a considerable amount of bird droppings. Additionally, the presence of several cats roaming around the premises, especially in the restaurants, was a downside for us as non-cat lovers. The main buffet offered good food with a nice variety, although we missed having simple options like chicken nuggets, which were only available at the daytime snack bars. We also dined at the Italian and burger restaurants, both of which required reservations. Unfortunately, neither met our expectations. The Italian restaurant had a basic menu, and we were quite shocked when the waiter removed my wife’s plate while she was still eating. The burger restaurant was poorly managed, with only two staff members who seemed overwhelmed, resulting in a 45-minute wait just to place our order. The drinks across the hotel were inconsistent and often seemed watered down. Different bars made the same cocktails with varying ingredients, leading to a lack of standardization. Moreover, unless you sat at the bar, drinks were served in plastic cups, which did not meet the 5-star experience we expected. One particularly frustrating incident occurred at the main bar, where a supervisor ignored me to put a screen protector on his phone before finally serving me. Entertainment was another area that fell short. The kids' entertainment was outside the hotel, which was inconvenient. The overall quality of entertainment was below our expectations. While the hotel had its nice aspects, such as the swim-up room and cleanliness, there were too many negatives for us to consider returning. The bird and cat issues, subpar dining experiences, inconsistent drink quality, and lackluster entertainment made it a mixed experience overall. We won't be returning to Porto Bella Royal, as there are just too many reasons not to go back. We will return to Greece next year but will choose a different hotel.
