“The hotel is reopening in 2020!!!!”

The old Regina Mare hotel at Persia has been closed for a while now but is being completely refurbished as the Marbella Elix Hotel. It already looks fabulous. Anyone wanting to book a package from the UK then Olympic Holidays has that on offer now.

The room was very small and closely spaced. The furniture was ancient and the bathroom looked very bad, the shower didn't work well. The worst of this hotel is the food. The room was very small and closely spaced. The furniture was ancient and the bathroom looked very bad, the shower didn't work well. The worst of this hotel is the food. Everyday the meal was meat and potatoes, no fruits at all, no desserts. It wasn't all inclusive if you ask me. The photos show animators but at this time they weren't there. The most irritating thing was that the all inclusive didn't include coffee and we had to pay 3 euros for it, we say such a thing for a first time. In the evenings we were very bored, because the nearest town was approximately 20km away. If you need to buy medicine, there was no doctor and no pharmacy so you just hope not to get sick. After all, the beach was wonderful, the sea was crystal clear and turkoise green so we enjoyed the nature only.

advantages/strong positive points: great view, great sea and beach. Good climate. Very good cleaning service for the rooms. (clean towels every day). water from shower always good and with pressure. what was moderate/overage-good but not so good: The food was ok, tasteful, cooked well, delicious, there were greek mediteranian dishes, like food cooked at home etc. and there were a couple of options to pick from (buffet-all inclusive-that's what this hotel offers)-however very rare there was a dish of see food/fish, the fruits or deserts were scarce-in fact there was usually only watermelon, and a kind of cake-one or another in most of the cases. This was about lunches and dinners. The breakfast was very good though. But drinks.during meals.the problem with drinks were they weren't in the buffet where you could self-serve-you had to ask the waiters who would bring you what you want but they bring it in small glasses, so you could starve from thirst if you wouldn't ask them a couple of times. These waiters-especially the older ones were not so nice and polite-they would never laugh-thus making you uncomfortable to ask for drinks many times. If you wanted a whole bottle of water-you would have to buy it, though you had paid the so called "all inclusive" service claiming all food and drinks were included. The disadvantage/weak points: bar and the staff of the bar and the service of the bar was awful (pool bar-that was the only bar they had open). You were supposed to have within your all inclusive package a list of drinks (mostly soft+beer and wine) included, but there was not good service at all for that-if you would go to ask for it the waiters would say-go to your table we would come there for you to take the order-and they would never come-you could sit there for hours and they would make you uncomfortable to ask for drinks-terrible service-terrible staff attitude. The other bad thing was the fact that the hotel promised-and even had it written everywhere in the reception hall etc, that they had a mini-club program for the kids, a greek show once a week etc, but they lied. Instead of that they would just put a movie in greek for kids in the evenings and just had a game with music for kids only one night instead of the movie. To conclude-I would recommend this hotel for the view, beautiful sea and beach and cleaning service, and up to a degree for the meals, but would not recommend it for the staff service of the bar-drinks-program they claim to have for kids.
