“Lovely stay”

Fiirst time visiting Lichnos beach hotel, we travelled form Edinburgh. Very friendly staff, nice spacious clean room, nice location. And the food there was AMAZING, everything was fresh, well presented and delicious! Im definatelly coming back

Definitely not 5 star. Needs a little work to make it worthy of 5 stars. Just returned from our stay. First visit to hotel but a couple of things let it down .Ladies allowed to sit in bar area in only swimwear should be asked by staff to cover up while sitting in the area . Walking in straight off the beach with swim shorts on and a towel thrown over shoulder to sit down for evening meal again there should be a rule stating appropriate dress wear for dinner. Coffee machine at breakfast . Should really be served fresh coffee by waitress. Some tinned fruit for breakfast would expect fresh fruit salad not just chopped up apples . Over priced drinks cocktails €14 euro each . Room cleaned every day but sea view obstructed when sat on terrace by large trees . Some attention required to fabric on side of headboard . Sadly won’t be returning .

Visited from 16th to 23rd June 2024. Posting in the hope it helps readers make an informed choice. The hotel is OK but there are a number of limitations to be aware of. It is a short distance (approx 10 minutes by car) from Parga necessitating a 10 Euro taxi fare each way. No shuttles provided at any time of the day by the hotel. In light of the fact that the half board, buffet dinner menu is repetitive with the hot dishes often lukewarm and that after dinner there is no entertainment to enjoy, visitors might wish to spend a couple of evenings in Parga, which incidentally is lovely and full of good restaurants and bars. Which brings me to the next point, the half board basis. In previous seasons I learnt that on request you could opt to have lunch or dinner but for 2024 when selecting half board, you choose to stay on either a half board lunch or dinner basis and once selected the policy of the hotel is that you stay on that plan - no option to change to lunch should you wish to go into Parga for dinner. I chose the word 'policy' deliberately because when questioning this on two separate occasions and asking if we could have lunch instead of dinner on the nights we planned to eat in Parga I kept getting quoted 'this is our policy'. You will be handed a sheet on arrival which contains a strangely worded paragraph about rules which goes as follows: "We know, we know… rules ruin everything. But without a few simple guidelines and policies, chaos quickly sets in. Do your part to preserving world order by keeping these guidelines" Well, maybe It's me, but I don't think offering customers a choice between lunch and dinner is going to destabilise the world offer which Lichnos Beach seems to live by. The hotel does offer an a la carte menu but having been told that our half board stay would allow us a risibly small 20 Euro credit on the a la carte menu we declined. In terms of ordering drinks, you will be asked for your room number at the time of ordering irrespective of where that order is placed (beach / bar / restaurant). No issue there obviously but what I did take issue with was the fact that before leaving any of the zones I had to try and make eye contact with the busy waiting / bar team so they could bring me the bill to sign, often a time consuming process. On one occasion I moved from the restaurant to the bar, a very short distance thinking I would sign the bill at the end of the evening only to be chased out of the restaurant by the waitress. I am not by habit a serial poster and whilst in situ did ask to speak to a manager to raise my concerns but at the time of request, a manager was not available. It is indictive of the poor management at this hotel that no attempt was made to contact me to discuss and resolve my concerns for the remainder of my stay. To summarise, the key words and phrases I would use to describe this hotel are: Boring Non existent entertainment, at least during the period we stayed Driven by rules and policies, inflexible attitude Repetitive menu, hot options often lukewarm, meat dishes dry and frequently chewy Drinks expensive At the fringes of Parga, and with a 20 Euro round trip taxi fare each time, expensive to leave the hotel Hint / tip: Do not pay the inflated hotel prices to enjoy water, soft drinks, wine, beer and snacks in your room. There is a very reasonable and well stocked shop adjacent to the hotel. To get there walk down to the beach and turn right where you will find the shop facing the beach at the neighbouring business. Conclusion: The Parga area is beautiful and I would recommend it unreservedly. Clearly though, I am more reserved in my view of Lichnos Beach Hotel and would suggest careful consideration of other hotel options before booking here.
