We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. I've rated as 4 star but feel that some aspects of the hotel deserve more than this but others fell a bit short. Others may have had different experiences. Some specific feedback points in no particular order: Rooms - 4/5 - Comfortable however, no shampoo, soaps, shower caps or tissues are provided in the rooms (only body wash in a soap dispenser in the bath and toilet roll). I would typically expect a bit more from a 5* hotel when paying a premium, however this may not be an issue for some people. Room cleaning was timely and to a good quality. Buffet - 4.5/5 - Buffet was excellent with lots of choice. The maître d'hôtel was very helpful. A La Carte restaurant - 2/5 - this was very disappointing (not that much choice, took time for the food to arrive despite there not being many people at the restaurant and we experienced undercooked chicken). Only one restaurant in the hotel in addition to the buffet. Entertainment - 4/5 - Varied entertainment throughout our stay, e.g. Greek Dancing, Vegas night, Karaoke Kids club - 5/5 - We have a 2 year old who thoroughly enjoyed the kids club and the daily 8pm mini disco. Bea, who runs the kids club, was excellent and extremely enthusiastic! Location - 5/5 - hotel located next to the beach, 30 mins from Heraklion, close to the bus stops for trips etc. Reception - 5/5 - very helpful and knowledgeable, willing to assist with any query. The lady who name begins with D was extremely helpful! Hotel layout - 4/5 - The reception area and front of the hotel is somewhat underwhelming for a 5* hotel (maybe it doesn't matter than much) but the grounds inside are beautiful and lovely to walk around.

First room stayed in for 2 nights was out of the hotel & a short walk down the road..very odd & felt excluded from the rest of the hotel. Stayed 3 nights after a cancelled flight & was asked to change rooms. First room stayed in for 2 nights was out of the hotel & a short walk down the road..very odd & felt excluded from the rest of the hotel. Room was basic & clean, shower drains made so odd noises & the French door did not work. Second room moved to was a beautiful room with a swim up private pool. Average cost €900 a night which is a tad steep for what you get. Dirty toilet brush, shower soap dispenser not working & AC was not strong enough. Private pool was situated so that many people walk past staring at you, it’s not very private. Food was delicious! a good range too. Unfortunately not all food had a name card so it was very hard to know what I could get eat. I spent a lot of the time asking the staff if a dish was vegetarian or not. No symbols given either it was sometimes a guessing game. Drink orders were taken very quickly which was good. Drinks bar near pool had limited non alcoholic cocktails. Mine was poured from a carton into a takeaway coffee cup with no ice. No chance to get a sun bed because there was not enough & they were situated in odd places scattered everywhere. Spa treatment was lovely! The lady did a great job. Unfortunately the steam room was not working & the pool area was very outdated & in need of attention. Cats well looked after which was lovely to see!
