“Lovely place and great staff”

Spent there a week in the end of August 2024. The hotel was absolutely lovely, rooms very simple, beautiful private balcony, walls are thick and soundproof. Room had air-conditioner (extra cost €8 per day) and small refrigerator. Hair dryer in the bathroom. Room service was great. Late check-out cost €30. Staff was very nice, especially all the men at front desk. We accidentally broke small plastic table on balcony and wanted to compensate it (even tho it's a cheap plastic €5 table), but the guy at front desk was like ... "it's okay. things happen... no need to compensate". Everyone saying food was awful.. We didn't think so. It was a cheap hotel and we didn't expect fancy food. It did repeat after few days but there was enough variety to choose from. What I'd complain about is the juices - very bad, unnatural tasting. Glasses were tiny, had to go several times to fill the water glass. And during dinner no drinks were served, not even water. But we got used to these inconveniences pretty fast. Other than that everything was wonderful, the place, atmosphere, the small bay. Swimming was fun.. even tho there's no sand beach, we had to climb a little on rocks but had our private small spot to jump into water. We had kittens behind our balcony every day and one of them came to our room at night :)... also a small geko was in the bathroom one morning. Very cute. We don't think we could have had this kind of experience in some other fancy hotel. Was sad to leave.
