We spent a week at the Grecotel Creta Palace... a beach holiday with Greek hospitality par excellence. From the check in at the reception to the chambermaid to the service in the main restaurant... discreet attention, every wish is anticipated. The breakfast and evening buffet is absolutely top class, tasty and varied. A cocktail in the lobby bar is also a must. The management and the entire team at the Grecotel Creta Palace are doing a brilliant job. The rooms are noble and clean. Nevertheless, the management should ensure that renovation work is carried out in order to continue to meet the 5-star standard in the future.

The Return Again & Again Having been to Grecotel Creta Palace so many times it can be difficult to know what to write. But having just returned from one of the best holidays we have ever had, at this hotel, my wife and I can easily comment about how the entire team works together to ensure every guest has the best holiday that can be achieved. It does depend on you as well as them as how good it can be as if you do not ask they do not know. The entire team for top to bottom allowed us to have such a wonderful holiday and it was such a joy to see everyone working together to that end. The support between members as well as guests is a joy to believe and we cannot wait to get back to enjoy it. The team is lead by someone who shares the care and responsibility for running such a wonderful hotel, as he part of the superb Grecotel Creta Palace Team Sitting at the beach bar, you could be anywhere in the world and it could not be better. It is a struggle to say more as I cannot think how anything can be improved we just love it all

We have just finished our 5 day stay at Grecotel Creta Palace. This is not our first stay in a Grecotel or our first 5* Hotel Stay. We’ve also not long come back from an Iberostar Selection. Therefore, I feel it’s only fair that I measure this hotel against similar. Firstly we booked everything via Love Holidays. I would strongly recommend that you do NOT book your transfer with them. TLT are a disgrace. Our transfer was as long as the flight after a long day. We missed our meals but luckily the hotel kept the restaurant open but with limited food. The entrance to the hotel is very attractive and you are greeted extremely well. The hotel is very well kept with lots of staff. We honestly didn’t meet a member of staff who couldn’t do enough or was rude. The main bar staff are fantastic as is Maria at pool side and all waiting staff. It appears to be something that Grecotel pride themselves on as are the staff at Kommeno Bay. There are however some down sides to Creta Palace both Kommeno & Iberostar Selection Fuerteventura have superior rooms. They are bigger and feel more 5*. We have our 15yr old son and the limited space meant it was difficult in mornings & evenings. I also feel the food at both other places was better. Self service for coffee would be much better as it can be a long wait. It was good but unfortunately we weren’t blown away. The pool unfortunately goes into the shade quite early in the afternoon as the sun goes behind the hotel. There was also a lot of children for a 5* and they were all at the main pool which I feel says something about the children’s. An adults only area would be nice. There is also no pool bar. It’s completely waited on service. You can’t go and sit down and relax and have a drink anywhere pool side like at Kommaneo Bay or Iberostar. All in all it was a pleasant stay and again the staff are fantastic but the hotel is lacking in some areas. Unless you stay 7 days you also don’t qualify for the themed restaurants and have to pay.
