Wow wow wow, what a fantastic hotel! Booked through jet2 holidays after being recommended by our travel agent. Arrived not long before 1am was greeted by a very professional and friendly receptionist, check it was super easy, he explained everything in great detail and took our cases to the room. The reception area is very clean and well maintained, first impressions count! The Room. We had a twin room with balcony, very nice! Plenty of space, bathroom was huge, 2 massive wardrobes, safety deposit box, plus storage in the room. Balcony was very spacious, chairs table and area to hang any wet clothes. Bathroom Beach towels were provided as well, plenty of towels in bathroom, robes and slippers! Plus usual toiletries. Shower was fantastic! Plenty of pressure and heat. Beds. We’re a little on the small side, also a little firmer than I would have liked, pillows were fine, bedding was also high quality. Cleaner what a shinning example of service, she attended every day always with a smile, very nice lady. Towels changed etc. Breaking. We were bed and breakfast, highly recommend this option, plenty of good quality food to choose from, all the staff very friendly! Always with a smile. Plenty of tables to pick from. Pool / beach. Well this was a real highlight, huge selection of beds, chairs and tables, bar area, pool bar. Pool it’s self a little cold and the jacuzzi was even colder, only for the brave. The beach was gorgeous with stunning views. Simply amazing! Many happy hours chilling around here. The sea was ruff whilst we was there so do be careful. The reception always had the days forcast so you could plan your day. This hotel is simply outstanding in all the little things. Can see why it’s won awards. Would deffo return and you will not be disappointed! Thanks again for a wonderful holiday.

Great hotel! Staff are polite & helpful, particularly the reception and cleaning team. Cocktails are great, as is the pool food. Swimming pool is very cold, but the swim up bar makes up for it. Great hotel! Staff are polite & helpful, particularly the reception and cleaning team. Cocktails are great, as is the pool food. Swimming pool is very cold, but the swim up bar makes up for it. We had a great stay, and shout out to the resident cat! The town itself is mainly situation around one road, which can be quite noisy.

From the moment you walk into the lobby, and met by friendly staff, you know you have made the right choice. Adult only adds to the calm and relaxed atmosphere. The swim up bar with its huge pool, jacuzzi, more than enough beach beds, the location right on the beach, the large comfortable rooms with beautiful walk in shower! All just perfect. This place gets our 100% approval! Nothing we did not like. Thank you Thalassa Beach for making this our dream holiday. Location is amazing, as you are spoilt for choice with restaurants and shops on uour doorstep. Eveything spotlessly clean at the hotel!

Overall, this is a nice hotel for a relaxing break. We booked a sea view junior suite - as others have said, the bed is upstairs and the living area downstairs seemed cramped. The upstairs area has a glass balustrade and is not good for anyone with vertigo, we also found the stairs a little tricky at night. Good bathroom though with great shower. Room was clean with fresh towels every day, would have appreciated more bottled water as the bathroom water was not drinkable. Buffet breakfast had a good variety of cold food, not much choice of hot food although eggs could be cooked to order. We had lunch twice at the pool bar - be aware that portions are huge and one meal could easily be shared. This bar only serves food up to 16.30. We had dinner in the restaurant once, service very slow and food pretty average. We had no trouble getting sun beds either on the grass near the pool or on the beach. There are notices that beds cannot be reserved although this wasn’t being applied. The pool itself is very cold and during October is in the shade from earl afternoon. The sea was rough most of the time we were there - the shoreline is very rocky and getting in the sea looked difficult. Be aware that the beach faces north and that the sun dips below the buildings in the afternoon. There are lots of excellent restaurants nearby in the main street and facing on to the beach. Also easy to go into Chania on the bus €2 each way. Would recommend the Little Fun Train for good value excursions.
