Just returned from 2 weeks at Sunny Suites. Absolutly loved every minute, the room was huge with separate lounge and bedroom, adequate kitchen and a nice modern bathroom. The pool was clean large enough for the amount of guests( there were no empty rooms) the bar area was good with plenty of choice. Hot Snacks were good and well priced. George who ran the bar all day from 10.30 was helpful and friendly as were the housekeeping staff who cleaned the room daily. If you want a great holiday in Crete, you will struggle to find a more accomodating and friendly place. Buses stopped almost outside for Chania every 20 minutes or so, Definitely worth a second visit.

“Lovely little hotel”

First family visit to Crete and we were extremely impressed with this well kept,clean,small family run hotel, staff and management were extremely friendly and happy to help with any request, enjoyed our stay so much we have booked to return next year.

Just back from a lovely holiday at Sunny suites, booked through easyjet family of 4 2 adults 2 teenagers. On the first night our flight was delayed we finally arrived at the apartments at around 2am and were met off the transfer bus by the security guy who swiftly checked us in and gave us our room key. We stayed in room 102, the room was ground floor with a terrace at the other end of the apartment, well equipped and clean, 2 beds in the bedroom and 2 sofa type beds in the living room totally sufficient for what we needed, free aircon which was great, had hairdryer iron, cooking rings and fridge you could eat in you room if you wanted to however we were B&B and ate out always. The grounds are clean and well equipped the pool looked lovely sadly we didnt get to spend any time around the pool at the sunny suites as every morning when we left the room for 9am all the sunbeds were already reserved and I am not the sort to reserve towels at the crack of dawn so we ended up using all the facilities at The Imperial Maleme to which these apartments are a part of. Breakfast was at the Imperial Maleme which is a 5 minute walk down the rd breakfast was lovely, lots of choice hot options, cereals pastries fruits and salads really enjoyed that breakfast is on untill 11am which is great if youre not an early riser, lovely restaurant with hard working staff. We stayed down at this hotel every day to lounge, we never had any problems getting sunloungers down here and it is literally on the seafront we picked a nice spot facing the sea next to the day beds so had the best of both worlds sea or pool. This hotel has a Finnish clientele the atmosphere around the pool is relaxed and calm with a nice water feature section for kids and a kids playgound, great bar serving drinks all day, there is a sports pitch to play ball games also and a volleyball net on ther beach. Maleme itself is very quiet if you head along the seafront there is a handful of nice restaurants to eat out at, we liked Mythos and taverna Maleme theres also a couple more if you turn right out of the Sunny suites. If you want a lot more choice head along to Platanias around 6km up the rd by bus here you will find a more lively resort without it being rowdy, we had a couple of trips there we really like Rock and Rose bar. The bus stop as already mentioned in other reviews is about 50yds left out the front of The Sunny Suites where you can travel right upto Kolymbari one way and then to Chania the other way, it cost us 2 Euros each to get to Platanias we paid cash not sure if they accepted other payment types. All in all had a lovely time I would definitly return
