A really lovely hotel, though it wasn’t right on the beach, there was a regular minibus and a small cove that was easy walking distance. We were a three family room group, our rooms were together, ground floor with perfect little outside sitting area for when the children were in bed. The pool areas were excellent, all the staff were very professional, helpful and always keen to help. We found the food outstanding, with plenty to choose from for all the family. Great cocktails, with a good, generous selection of brands to choose from. We were really pleased to discover our all inclusive bands worked until we left in the evening. We had an amazing holiday, thank you Grand Hotel.

“Fantastic hotel and staff!”

This was our 1st visit to Crete and we couldn't have choose a better hotel!! We arrived early hours in the morning and were given a snack bag with a wrap, raisins, apple and a bottle of water. The rooms were a good size and cleaned daily by a lovely cleaner. There was never any issue with getting a sunbed, i think as there is so many different pool's to choose from this helps. We always stayed around the main pool with the entertainment team to join in with the activities if we wanted to but there is no pressure, a shout out to Luca who run's the entertainment team! He does a fab job and works very hard, always with a smile!! This is one of the reason's i wanted to write a review as i wasn't sure about the entertainment for children before we came, but there is always plenty going on throughout the day, from darts to water polo, water aerobics, football and lots more. Our children 10 & 17 loved the water slides as did us adults!! :-) There is steep inclines, but in all fairness it was actually nice to walk off all those guilty pleasure's you eat and drink!! There is transport you can call from a push button to collect you & take you to your room or the snack bar. All the staff are friendly and always greeted you with a smile and work so hard! There is always plenty of choice of lovely foods catering for everyone. Big shout out to Flavio and George in the restaurant, so friendly and always took the time to ask how we were, and also to Giannis in the snack pool bar, who cooks the food, he was so lovely and worked so hard but always had a smile!!! In all fairness all the staff are a real credit to this hotel. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough and we will definitely be back! Thank you all for making our holiday such a great time! Also you can easily walk into Stalis, it takes about 10/15 mins with lots of bars and restaurant's but there is a free minibus from the hotel throughout the day to take you and bring you back.

Visited the hotel, at the start of June for 10 days, we really enjoyed our stay as a family of 4 with children of 6 and 10 Positives The food was decent, always something to eat, the snack bar cooked fresh food to order and the cook was a lovely guy even in the extreme heat was always chatty. The cleaners and staff were absolutely brilliant, the hotel is immaculate, rooms were very clean, the pools cleaned every night. The 3 bar staff at the main lobby bar were absolute legends, and are an absolute credit to the hotel (Mr Aston Villa) thank you for all the shots. Mike on the entertainment was a true gentleman and brilliant with the kids and always had time for a chat. Real top guy. The hotel is quite a walk especially going from reception to the kids fun pool up the top of the resort. There is a pick up with seating on the back so you don’t have to walk which is a great idea. The older chap driving the pickup was the most friendly guy and would always wave or stop if you needed a lift. The slides and pools at this hotel are brilliant. The kids fun pool at the top is perfect for younger children with small slides and a splash area which my 6 year old loved. The main pool was salt water, we avoided this a little as my children weren’t too keen as it was salty which put them off but this pool was very warm. The slides were a real good laugh and a lot of fun. Sunbeds were never an issue, there was always sunbeds available which was good Negatives Our shower in the room was terrible,it was really poor, very weak, we put this down to showering at peak times between 6 and 7pm (room 1108) and our bed was very big but very hard, took us a couple of days to adjust The amphitheater was a good walk from the bar an toilet, the childrens entertainment and evening entertainment was held it from 8:30 until 10:30, the all inclusive finishes at 10:30 so if you watch the entertainment until the end you will miss the last orders at the bar, which was annoying. I definitely think a bar is needed by the amphitheater. The steps on the amphitheater are very steep too Drinks wise this is not an all inclusive plus hotel as it says it is. This is the 3rd hotel that is all inclusive plus that we have been to in the last 12 months and this one simply isn’t. The drinks are not branded, except for the odd one, my partner didn’t drink on this holiday as she only drinks Malibu and this wasn’t included. The only drink that appeared to be branded was absolute vodka. Which was really disappointing, the cocktails were poor too Overall it was a good holiday but there are a few points to work on Thanks for having us
