We came back from Star Beach Village at the beginning of November. We had the most amazing family holiday. The resort was great for families. Even though it was the end of the season there was still so much to do. The amount of various swimming pools catered for different age groups/abilities was great. The waterpark on site was a great addition but it could do with a little bit of TLC (a coat of paint on the rails, tidy up nothing major). A huge plus was the beach being right next to the beach which was a fantastic perk. My girls didn’t get involved in the Children clubs but they were available if you wanted to join in. There was always fab evening entertainment at 9pm-loved the traditional Greek Dance team. So much fun that guests got involved. What made the holiday great for me as a Coeliac was how helpful the Catering Teqm were. Whenever, I went for food, at each restaurant I would go to the Sous Chef’s mainly; Papirakus Manolis (Main buffet restaurant) and the main chef in the Greek Taverna restaurant to see what was GF and what I needed to avoid. They would also give me cuts of meat with utensils that had not been contaminated by wheat/gluten. They were so helpful and knowledgeable which is reassuring as being a coeliac we can worry about what is available to us on holiday and how we will manage. Their kindness was really appreciated and they always offered to see if I wanted GF pasta or pizza that would be cooked separately in the kitchen. The food quality was amazing and I missed it as soon as we arrived back in the UK. The choice of GF food was vast and so delicious. If you wanted a dessert you would need to ask what was available and they would get you a selection from the kitchen. Personally, I just enjoyed the fresh fruit which was delicious. In addition, all staff were so friendly and helpful across the resort. Our room was clean and tidy but could do with a refresh of paint and the curtains needed rehanging as they were off the runner or the length was just too long. These are minor things and did not affect the holiday for us in anyway. We would go back to the Star Beach Village & Water Park again in a heartbeat! Have a well deserved break Star Beach Village staff-you deserve it!

We had a great time! The food was delicious and there was many options on what restaraount you wanted to go to! When the kids were to hot they would go down to the water park on the plenty of slides! There was the main water park which I’m pretty sure had four big slides? And then the kids splash … more

We had a great time! The food was delicious and there was many options on what restaraount you wanted to go to! When the kids were to hot they would go down to the water park on the plenty of slides! There was the main water park which I’m pretty sure had four big slides? And then the kids splash park well the first one which had 5 slides and along with that there was a pirate ship in the pool that also had some slides! And the other splash park for older kids (8-13) Had lots of slides big and small. The only thing that wasn’t great was the rooms.. our friends had to get a room moved because the roof was damp and the second one wasn’t great either. But other than that we all loved it! I would recommend

We stayed at star beach over the October school holidays and honestly loved every minute. Room- We stayed in the Apollo block, a one minute walk away from the pool most appropriate for little children. The room itself was spacious, clean and had a lovely side sea view. The shower was particularly fab in this room! The cleaning was to a good standard each day we used the service including fresh towels. I would definitely request this block again should we return. Pools- The pools that we used were fantastic, understandably busy with lots of children, but they were clean. My little one (age 5) loved the pirate pool with the smaller slides and they have really catered to everyone in regards to the different pools and appropriate levels of slides and interactive bits. The only real shame here was that the pools were all freezing! It was cloudy a few days of our stay and so the pool was a no-go for most people over the age of 15! Additionally, some of the bottom section of the hotel such as the adults only area was closed, you are able to use the sunbeds and pool free of charge but the pool bar and snack bar in this area is closed. It was only a 2 minute walk to an alternate bar/snack bar though so this didn't really impact us. We did not use the waterpark, but the slides looked epic and were quiet each day we passed! Kids club- The kids club was a brilliant addition to this hotel! Our little girl spent lots of time making friends, colouring, playing mini-golf and generally hanging out in this area. this is also where the mini-disco takes place each night for half an hour at 8:30pm before the main entertainment in the bar round the corner. The staff were really positive and welcoming. Beach- The beach was lovely, small and you would have to get up early to get sunbeds that face the sun all day, but it is clean, quiet and the sea is stunning. Not to mention it is only 30 seconds away from the kids park and a selection of pools and slides. Food- The food was a real highlight. Different options each night without the horrible oily taste that you get in lots of all inclusive hotels. Each of us were able to find something that we enjoyed each meal including freshly made omelettes for breakfast, a delicious salad bar and freshly cooked chicken and pork for lunch and whole sides of salmon for dinner- one of many many options! The fresh pasta station and kids section was clearly a hit for the little ones and the help yourself chilled bottles of wine station was definitely a hit for the grown-ups. We were very impressed. Staff- For the most part the staff were brilliant, our cleaner in particular was lovely and always took the time to say hello. The bar staff were courteous- if a little tired- but this is understandable at the end of a long season. We only had an issue with one member of staff manning the towel drop-off/pick-up area, as he was notably rude grunting at my partner and myself before shouting at us when we called him out on his rudeness. This was mentioned to reception and we were unsure if this complaint was adequately received- however again, at the end of a long season we understood that staff may be ready for a break! Area- Star beach is in a great area! it is about a 15 minutes walk into central hersonissos where bars, restaurants, and shops are all available, we walked back along the coast-line which was really beautiful. Overall, we had an excellent holiday and would have no qualms with booking again- likely for high season to guarantee the weather and to see the difference with everything open! Four star only to reflect our experience with staff rudeness and the non-disclosure online that some of the areas of the hotel would be closed!

Lovely hotel and food but holiday spoiled by extremely rude staff at the towel exange station up to the point that they made me cry and shouted at me and after that i haven't changed our towels for the reminder of our holidays as i just couldn't face them and exange times are unsuitably timed anywa… more

Lovely hotel and food but holiday spoiled by extremely rude staff at the towel exange station up to the point that they made me cry and shouted at me and after that i haven't changed our towels for the reminder of our holidays as i just couldn't face them and exange times are unsuitably timed anyway. Holiday spoiled so we won't be returning this year for my 30th birthday, i cannot recommend this hotel.
