We arrived late at around 11.30pm the man on reception was so friendly had even saved us back a meal. He explained that our room didn’t have the balcony we had booked but he would move us in the morning as it was late which wasn’t a issue as the following morning he gave us a choice of rooms we could pick from. Rooms are clean and have what you need bed is very comfortable, bathroom is small but no issues fridge in room is big so we took drinks upstairs and left in fridge for in the night which worked well. Our balcony had view of pool sea and mountains and was big enough for 2 chairs and a table plus extra space. All staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is very good loads of choice and definitely something for everyone. We came at the start of October so we had no children around which was actually lovely as we came away with out our children! Pool area is beautiful very clean and gets the sun 90% of the day! Beach is 5 mins walk and the street out side the hotel has loads of shops perfect location, can’t fault this hotel loved it and would definitely come back xx ask for room 319 it’s lovely x

stayed here with my partner for my birthday and had absolutely no issues. wonderful location, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. we found the food to be a little hit and miss so often had dinner out but it was good for the most part. very clean. the bar was fantastic and Aggelos our bartender was absolutely lovely and truly made my birthday special so hats off to him. rooms were small but clean. we did have an issue with water all over our bathroom floor every time we showered though. considering what we paid though (not much!), they definitely far exceeded our expectations. thank you to all the staff and Aggelos in particular for making our stay so magical :)

“Break away”

Went to this hotel a few weeks ago with friends. All the staff were lovely and friendly. Hotel in a central location. We were lucky and had a room at the back which had a large balcony. I believe the rooms at the front can be noisy mainly from traffic noise. The room was adequate, typically Greek. However the downside for us was the smell of damp coming from the drain in the bathroom. Food on the whole was ok. Disappointingly there was a lot of pasta. I know they have to cater to the masses and a lot of people do live on pasta. There were lots of desserts to choose from, the baklava was lovely. The white fish had no texture again due to catering for lots of people. The dining area was not really big enough for the size of the hotel. Especially in the evening, we often had to squeeze the three of us on a table for two. The manager was often around and in fact ate in the restaurant. Most of the time we could get a sunbed, generally people did not put there towels down hogging them all day, then coming for half an hour at the end of the day. The pool itself was ok. Some reviews mentioned that this could not be as clean as it should and favoured the next door hotels pool, we found it the opposite way round. All in all it was satisfactory for the price.

Just enjoyed a week her with my wife. We booked last minute and were watching the weather forecast and so got a week for £1000 all in. My review will take this into account as we feel it was fantastic value. Being October, I feel the island is winding down and we thought the amount of people there was perfect, the hotel doesn't look great from the road but we knew that from Google maps. Once inside, that changes and the hotel is very nicely finished and the whole of the ground floor is more akin to 4 or5 Star hotels that we have been to. The dining area is very nice and we found the food very good. There are a lot less dishes to choose from than other AI's that we have experienced but the food was very tasty . The indoor bar is great as is the terrace area with comfortable chairs and very chilled surroundings. The pool area is nice, we didn't put towels out and got a bed each day we used the hotel during daytime. The pool is quite small but does the job, although it looks like the terrace area has been built up at some point and so the top step of the pool steps leaves a huge step to get out and this obviously caused problems for some less able guests. My personal opinion is that a bit of music would be nice as it is deadly quiet up there - probably perfect for lots of people. Drinks were good, lager is OK and they actually have plastic pint 'glasses' which is rare. The rooms are very basic and quite small - as others state, the shower is silly and floods the floor. It looks like there was a shower door at some point but not now and so it sprays the floor instead. We were on floor 5 (512....the only room up there) and had a huge balcony but this was unusable due to the kitchen cooking extractors exhausting through two 4ft square ducts onto our balcony with a loud noise and even worse cooking smells! We didn't get any clean towels and so I fetched some - we never got any more. The beach towels that the hotel supplies are thin and tatty and 10 Euro each deposit, and then 1 Euro laundry fee per towel. Buses are good, stops almost outside and they are air conditioned coaches - Stallis is 2 Euro and Agios Nikalaos just 4 Euros. Main road is very busy but two minute walk to the beach and much nicer bars and restaurants - make sure you book for 'Cretan Blue' and get a waterside table - idyllic spot and great food! Sunbeds on the beach were 20 euro for two but if you walk to the harbour and round to the left, it's a nicer beach and they're 7 Euro there and snorkelling there is amazing. To keep a room on day of departure is 40 Euro - we thought that was steep so didn't bother but they supplied a room to shower in for free which was nice. Staff are all fantastic and always pleasant. In summary, Hotel is good, location is perfect and the food was also good. If the rooms were refreshed I would give a 5 star but that is my only negative - I would recommend sea shoes too as the beaches are shale. Water is crystal clear and eating out is reasonable. I would definitely return as we had a great holiday.
