“Really great hotel”

Fantastic hotel for a package trip. The resort is huge, over 700 rooms, but there is so much space you don't notice it. There are two separate buffet restaurants as well as 2 ala carte and 2 snack bars. The entire place is kept clean and tidy. Plenty of pools as well as other areas with sun loungers. Food is great with plenty of choice including the snack bars. drinks are included with some named spirits, others and some cocktails you pay for. Help yourself to 4 different Crete lagers and local wines and soft drinks. The Asian ala carte is good but beware the Thai meals are spicy. The Greek ala carte is poor. Service and quality of food as its so dry without accompanying sauces. They do have caged donkeys and goats which is not good. Apparently vets do attend but there is no space in their cages, the hotel could easily create larger compounds for them as there is a lot if unused ground. The entertainment is the usual hotel standard, but the team are very enthusiastic. The local port is about 30 to 40 minute walk along the shore line, with mainly made paths. They do cater for allergies such as gluten and you need to speak to the main desk. Gluten free bread and pizza bases are provided. Select the upper floor sea view for the best rooms, otherwise you could be looking at a hill or a car park or a walkway. Our room was brilliant, plenty of space, cleaned and towels changed daily. Give the made a couple of euros per day as they do a great job. Pool tables and games machines, via tokens. Bar staff in the main lobby bar were not the best and saw the customers as an inconvenience, but all other staff were great. You can get a bus from the hotel entrance into Heraklion for 3.50 euros each way, its worth a visit. Nice walks out the back of the hotel through a couple of small villages that have restaurants, bars etc. There were plenty of free sunbeds all day, whilst we were there, but some people still insist on putting towels out !!! Huge 50 m pool, but take googles as it s a mixture of sea water and chlorin. Gym had three running machines (1 not working) as well as weight machines. Spa provides good massages, at a reasonable rate circa 75 euro for an hour.

After spending a week at the hotel we have left without any issues or doubts about our stay. The rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard. Food from breakfast, snack bars through to dinner is exceptional. There is a good selection of bars throughout serving until 1pm. All staff work very hard to ensure your stay is faultless, also a special shoutout to Triantafilos and Nakita who continually went above and beyond with their customer service and bar skills. Overall a very memorable experience.

Just checked out of this hotel after a weeks stay as a party of 12. Rooms cleaned daily, a wide selection of food. Pools are the perfect temperature for the hot days. Most staff are friendly and helpful, the best guys were Trian and Nikita both going above and beyond to make our evenings enjoyable at the bars, serving swiftly and happily chatting to us and other customers.

We are sad to be leaving today but have all had a great time in Crete, the hotel is lovely clean and the staff are friendly, I had read a lot of reviews before we arrived and wasn’t disappointed. Our room was a good size for the 3 of us, we were staying in the superior room with Mountain View, plenty of space to unpack and move around the room, Food was as you would expect from an all inclusive but everyone always found something they liked, the snack bar was the kids favourite place and the endless ice creams were a big hit. We didn’t watch much of the entertainment but what we did see was good and the staff all work very hard. We mainly used the top pool which we found to be quieter and more relaxing to float around on a lilo. We spent a couple days at the beaches but the one near the hotel wasn’t for us so we got a taxi to Stalis which cost €15 each way but definitely worth it for the water sports. I would definitely recommend this hotel the only negative and it’s no fault of the hotel is the location, We would of liked to be closer to a nice sandy beach but like I mentioned it’s only 10mins away in a taxi.
