This hotel was well-placed close to the port if you plan to take a ferry over to any of the islands. We had one of the rooms at the top with a huge patio overlooking the harbour. We enjoyed our stay. This hotel was well-placed close to the port if you plan to take a ferry over to any of the islands. We had one of the rooms at the top with a huge patio overlooking the harbour. We enjoyed our stay. The room was a decent size, could use some updating or fixing broken tiles or baseboards. Nothing major. The little restaurant overlooking the water is fabulous for dinner or a nitecap. We would go back for sure.

Thank you so much at Lato Hotel staff for kind accueil and specially in booking process which has been particularly complicated at me because I had to move my reservation many times; they followed my needs without any complication. Finally we stayed very well at Lato hotel as far as cleaning, free parking, full continental breakfast with excellent quality local flavours, quietness (notwithstanding the room was front of sea and the main road). We appreciated so much the dinners also at the rooftop with enchanting view on the Port, fortress and sea; the courses we had were of intense taste for a slow enjoying (grilled octopus, not to be missed "variety of greek flavors", all of them were so pleasant and excellent in quality and service. Bottle of wine the guy suggested me even was the best Vidiano I ever drank in Grece). The only notice I may set forth regards the room space, which was a bit narrow and essential, but furnished with small boiler and tea, frigobar; no Italian channels on TV). The city centre and tipical shops are a very few minutes walk away from the hotel. I am really sorry because the extreme beauty of landscapes and ancient ruines is faced by visible lack in general cleaning and order of the city, roads, streets, plenty of garbage along them, huge numbers of abandoned concrete buildings everywhere etc.. Traffic as well suffers a severe disorder: a strong committment is required to regulate motorcycles and cars which circulate without plate and with very dangerous behaviour in public roads.
