Was greeted by Anna at the reception. She immediately gave us an upgrade for our honeymoon. Welcome drink was provided upon arrival. The grounds were gorgeous. We had a great room, very modern. The rates here were very affordable. It was about a 20 minute ride from the airport, which was very easy. There was plenty of parking. There are several lots around the premises. Cars are available for rent at the premises. The room was an open plan, meaning most of the bathroom was in the same room, where the shower and commode were like a separate “telephone booths”, in different areas. It’s a bit awkward for privacy, if you catch my drift. The shower was great! Plenty of hot water and large bottled bath gel and shampoo provided right in the shower. Our room had it’s own little pool attached to the porch, but it wasn’t so private, so we didn’t use it. TV channels went in and out, and there were too many French and German stations and not enough Greek stations. Excellent Breakfast Buffet. Plenty of different choices for everybody’s tastes. Great fried eggs and coffee. There was a huge dining room. The customer service here was outstanding, especially in the dining room. There was a nice big pool with a really nice pool bar. Plenty of sun beds. The beach is within walking distance to the hotel. It’s not the best beach for swimming but it’s pretty. It was wavy and rocky. Beach Towels are available at the front desk for 1 euro each. Plenty of nearby stores and tavernas by the beaches. There was a safe in the room. We had a very quiet and restful sleep here. I loved staying here, it was a really nice property and I would definitely stay here again. I would highly recommend this place to anybody and everybody. Efharisto Anna!

Photo’s in this site don’t do the hotel justice. Small friendly family run hotel. Just returned from this lovely hotel Anna and team very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Good variety of food even for vegetarian’s House keeping do a great job We had a pool room , the pool was regularly cleaned the rooms were spotless. The garden areas are really well kept and the paths everywhere washed every morning. The beach area not great as it’s a small sea front but we hired a car and explored. Good free car parking at the hotel. Would highly recommend as a base . Thanks everyone for making us feel so welcome 🤗

First time staying at Thai lovely hotel and will definitely be going back next year just about to book Felt relaxed and settled in from First day there arrived very early in morning and Staffa compadres us by letting us into our room very early so we could get some sleep … room lovely clean great showers view of sea Hotel quiet and five minute walk to other bars restaurants and beach Staff were so friendly and helpful Bar staff Billy made our stay great , Anna from reception also very helpful and all other bar staff and waiters were excellent Restaurant food couldn’t fault at all was half board No sun bed rush at all and pool music nice and relaxing and not blaring Rooms cleaned each day apart from Sunday nothing was too much for any of staff when asked for any assistance Would highly recommend for couples or friends wanting relaxing break Can’t wait to visit again next May

Well, a week has passed since our wonderful holiday in Hara Ilios Village! I was gathering my thoughts reading a few more reviews of the hotel on TripAdvisor and thought of writing a truthful, frank comment. As we can see, the hotel has earned an excellent reputation for a certain number of vacationers. Thanks to the work of the hotel management and owners, the hotel has achieved great results. I worked in the field of international tourism for many years. Therefore, I can professionally evaluate all the pros and cons of staying at this hotel. Don't think that I'm going to criticize something radically. In any business, in any hotel there are always many pros and cons. And of course, every tourist on vacation should receive the most objective picture of where he is going and what he will get there. The travel company Tui Germany, as well as many travel and hotel booking sites, position Hara Ilios Village as a 4****+ plus or even 5 *****star hotel. Apparently the hotel does not officially have an international or European category of 4 or 5 stars and does not indicate this anywhere. Most likely, they don’t need this in principle, because the main focus of the hotel not on stars but on vacationers and the services is at a high level! In the comments of many vacationers, we read a lot about this wonderful hotel and I won’t repeat myself about this family business, I emphasize only a few details. The hotel area is beautiful, landscaped, very well maintained, clean, you can feel the care of the owners and staff about this beautiful corner on the coast of Greece. The hotel rooms are different, there are luxury rooms with a private pool, and there are ordinary standard rooms. If you have the opportunity and finances allow, do not book ordinary standard rooms because they are small, especially the sanitary facilities in which a large person can hardly turn around. Apparently, during construction, the engineers and the architect did not know how to place a toilet, shower and small sink in the bathroom, this bathroom just looks like a tiny storage room. /For example numbers 312 232 and the like/ A hardworking team of maids clean the rooms every day with high quality, change the bed sheets and snow-white towels. By the way, the bed linen and bath towels are very good. According to the descriptions, the hotel is located near the sea, 150 m is indicated, but in fact this is just a distance if you follow a closed straight path through the neighbors' garden. Аctually, walking to a good wide and sandy beach is approximately 500 m, 10-15 minutes slowly, not difficult and not far. Not to the Hotel Administration, but to the Municipal Services of Agiou Panteleimonos, Kato Gouves, I would like unfortunately to note that the path to the sea and the road approaching the hotel do not look very European and are poorly cleaned. Against the backdrop of all this, the Hara Ilios Village looks like a cozy, clean and friendly oasis. At the hotel you can book various meals: breakfast, half board or All-inclusive. However, upon arrival, it is puzzling that in All-inclusive rooms there is no bottled water (you can order one bottle of water for two persons and only in the evening at dinner) The menu offered to vacationers in the main restaurant is quite consistent with a four-star hotel, the food and all kinds of drinks, cocktails are not fancy but very high quality. Janis, the Chef and waiters ( especially in the pool bar area) are at a high level. The hotel has high-quality non-disposable tableware for both main courses and all drinks, including at the pool bar. Concluding my review of this hotel, I would like to note especially the enthusiasts of their business - the owners, management and the whole team of the hotel! Many thanks for their work, which is often tedious and difficult. I think, based on the results of the summer season, Periklis, the owner of the hotel, needs especially to thank and financially reward all the waiters, especially the excellent smiling guy Vasilis, Dionisis the bartender and the hospitable girl Raffaela, as well as two wonderful receptionists - Andrioni and Ana. Leonidas, the Top manager, worked invisibly, calmly and professionally all the time too. I also advise future vacationers to use the services of the Creta Spa facilities and order relaxing massages from the wonderful, sympathetic physiotherapist Stamatis, a good specialist in his field! All good things come to an end quickly, just like our Greek holiday this year. P.S. In conclusion, I will say that in October the weather in Crete is changeable - 2 weeks of our holiday were windy and the sea was restless. You can sunbathe and swim, the sun is 23-25°, the water is warm, but swimming is practically impossible due to the large waves. The water in the not big hotel pool is 21-22°, refreshing, but you can swim not for long.
