We had am amazing holiday at the beginning of July 2024. I had 2 rooms booked, 1 for my parents(sea view) and one for me and my daughters(pool view). You can't fault this hotel! Everything, from the big rooms to the delicious and varied meals exceeded our expectations. The hotel has its own beach and is equipped with 2 decent sized swimming pools, with bar where beverages are served. As my birthday happened to be during our stay there, we had the pleasant surprise to be upgraded from all inclusive to all inclusive premium. That meant that in addition to all the meals and drinks included(local drinks), we got to try for free the special cocktails and branded beverages. We were also gifted a beautiful fruit basket and a bottle of wine/each room, plus robes for the spa.It felt like a very nice gesture that made my birthday even more special! Shout out to Kostas and Richard at the bar who always went beyond, making sure that everyone was happy and content; to Momo the manager, who was the soul of the night variety shows; to Niki at the massage and spa salon and last but not least, to Matthew from the GT Travel who tailored all our trips, gave us advice and tips to make the most of our stay. We had an amazing holiday at Kalyves Beach Hotel and we will definitely return in the future for more relaxing and fun time!

This is an amazing hotel in an amazing location. We were all inclusive which I highly recommend. The staff were very welcoming in all areas of the hotel especially in the restaurant and the bar. The entertainment manager Soukah was very helpful and friendly. His wife was the other half of the entertainment team, she was exceptionally good with the children. If you needed to know anything, he was always willing to help. Kostas in the bar area was absolutely brilliant as was the other waiter. Kostas touched our hearts on the last day but being very thoughtful and generous. The hotel gives very personal service. It feels like everyone matters to the staff. The food was good quality and lots of choice. The desserts were irresistible. One small negative, and this is not a complaint, just an observation, some of the meat, especially the fish, was undercooked at times. This did not affect us because we just choose something different. A good choice of snacks just near the entrance to the swimming pool. The location was stunning. There was a private beach with free sunbeds just a minutes walk from the bar. The swimming pools were cold but we loved that and swam every day. The restaurant had outside seating along the river that joins the sea, it was so peaceful to just sit and watch the ducks and geese and the wonderful view. The wine and beer at the hotel was self service, which avoided long queues during the day and was of good quality. The cocktails were amazing. We had a room overlooking the road at the back of the hotel. It was not a sea view but we spent some time there every evening just watching the world go by and playing games. It was so relaxing. “A small gem in Kalyves”
Awesome location, amazing staff! Everyone went above and beyond to please us. The river was a very pleasing addition and i cant find any wrong to this hotel. We were very lucky with the weather here so i really cant complain about anything. Thank you all i will be back for sure next year.

“Wonderful treatment in Aegeo Spas”
1,5 hours total relax in Aegeo Spas. Nikis professional body treatment was perfect to my body. Body peeling, body and face massage and aleovera mask, just wonderful !! Thank you, Niki for a lovely treatment moment on my last holiday day on Crete.

“Reasonable value for money”
This was my second stay and this time I was disappointed by the cramped room (quite different to last year) and the small shower was almost unusable due to its size. This was my second stay and this time I was disappointed by the cramped room (quite different to last year) and the small shower was almost unusable due to its size. However apart from the room size and in particular the shower, this is still a great location to see Western Crete and the facilities are good. The hotel also caters for a wide range of customers from families to adventurous.
