My first visit to Benitses and the Potamaki Hotel.I wasn't happy with my booked room which was supposed to overlook the mountains at the rear of the Hotel,Sadly my room overlooked a scruffy back yard and was overlooked by neighbours and smelled of stale cigar smoke. .However when pointed out to reception the next day ,It was swiftly rectified and i was offered another room poolside which was amazing.Cleaned daily with fresh towels, and fresh sheets every other day.large bed was so comfortable with fluffy mattress toppers which meant an amazing nights sleep, Breakfast buffet offered incredible choices including hot ,Or continental with breads cheeses meats etc,Or fruits. yoghurts and berries etc.Breakfast was from 8am to 10am and twas always kept topped up,and tables cleared by the friendly staff.Dinner was 20 Euros which included wine and puddings.I was also treated to dinner here one night,!It was adequate and again plenty of it ,However I preferred to eat in some of the amazing tavernas nearby that offered authentic greek dishes and wines again for around 20 euro.The large pool and smaller kids pool had plenty of sunbeds was cleaned daily early morning,There was also a quiet area astro turfed off the main pool area,The beach was just across the road , Sunbeds and umbrellas could be hired here for 10 euro with a complimentary soft drink.There was free entertainment at the hotel 3 or 4 nights a week with an amazing Greek dance night .I loved my stay at the Potamaki and hope to visit again.Made new friends in the staff and also guests ,Can thoroughly recommend this hotel It may be getting a bit tired but for its 3 star rating it is more than adequate,I travelled solo and am of a certain a "certain" age made very welcome and plenty of company

Hello;) I’ll say briefly, the hotel is very good, if you want then you can find disadvantages everywhere, but we don’t come here to evaluate the hotel, but to see and enjoy the place - Corfu. The food is delicious, there was a very nice man at the reception who will always smile and wish you a good day☺️ If you’re talking about the sea, then the sunbeds there are paid, but you will be served by a very nice man who will bring you whatever drinks you want from the bar. In general, come and enjoy every moment ☺️

“Overall a clean averagely priced hotel”

First of all really enjoyed our 5 day stay here which was a last minute trip. I had been to Benitses before but then it was a singles extravaganza of wild nights. Nowadays it seems much more sedate! WHAT WE LIKED- 1} Proximity to really top restaurants such as Klimintaria and Big Bites to name a couple. Think great fresh greek food and ambience. It was also 42 degrees when we were there so chilled drinks were de rigueur. Some of the greek rose wines were exceptional 2) Staff as always in Greece were polite and knowledgeable 3) If you want proximity to beach this hotel is about 50 yards from their beach - not a great beach but lovely clear waters when you get in the water and very reasonable priced beds and umbrellas 4} Nice expansive pool- cold but welcoming 5) The lifts were fast and didnt break down! 6) 25 mins from Airport POINTS to NOTE 1) Breakfast is adequate but nothing more than that-cereal was inedible but you will find something to fill your belly. Open until 10 am 2) The pool area does not have either a toilet nor bar. Therefore it was necessary to dry off and walk back to the hotel to use the conveniences. Disappointing 3) The apartments are very clean BUT the shower and the curtain surround are designed to leave a pool on your floor . Shower /toilet area is tiny 4) If you have a choice go for pool view rather than sea view - if you go sea view you will experience the dregs of the evening entertainment plus the road traffic starting up at 6am

First of all the hotel is good, it is basic, has a comfy bed, clean bathroom/room, good air con, nice balcony, safe and wardrobe. The cleaners also can come in every day to clean and give you fresh towels and bedding, we didn’t feel the need for this so just put the sign on the door on the days we didn’t need it cleaning. The shower has rubbish pressure and was a bit broken but will do and the fridge isn’t very cold so wouldn’t recommend putting much food in there we just used it to store drinks. There’s a nice big mirror with a desk and hair dryer. The air con is very good- we had a couple of issues with it but we went down to reception and they sorted it within about an hour. The room however does get extremely stuffy and hot even when sleeping with the door wide open- would recommend sleeping with the air con on low fan and 18 degrees or above. We had a lovely sized balcony with fab views. The door to the outside are mainly sound proof however the door to the corridor is definitely not, you can hear everything that goes past the door, however we never had any issues with people being too loud. The pool is lovely and mostly clean with really nice sun beds and decent amount of shaded areas. We paid for bed and breakfast but if your picky like me i would recommend just paying for the room and getting breakfast in town, the breakfast is not great. There are sun beds on the beach opposite for €14 for the whole day plus 2 non-alcoholic drinks. If you are by the pool between about 11:30-1:00 they come round with a menu for lunches with toasties, salads and gyros which is a good option. There are a couple of events on a few of the evenings, there was some live singers and some greek dancing- they start and go on till quite late 10-12 ish at night. The town of Benitses however is absolutely beautiful, its peaceful has stunning views and everything you could want. There are a couple of supermarkets around, a pharmacy a doctors and a variety of restaurants. I would recommend the €3.50 gyros just before the strip of restaurants, it’s perfect for a quick lunch and they are delicious. We tried 3 or 4 of the restaurants and they were lovely(went back to some of them twice), the marina is also very very pretty. It is perfect for a quiet and relaxing getaway, however unless you hire a car or book onto boat trips there’s not a huge amount to do so take that into consideration when booking. There are a lot of car hire and excursion shops around. I would also recommend the crepe shop near the COOP supermarket, it’s delicious. Overall this is a perfect holiday destination for a quiet relaxing trip if you just wanna lay by the pool and eat delicious food, the hotel has all the basics so is great if your not too high maintenance.
