My husband and I haven’t even left yet (although sadly today is the day) and already we cannot wait to leave a review. Everything about this place is amazing, and as our chosen honeymoon destination which we stumbled upon purely by chance, we couldn’t have picked better. We have never been to a 5-star resort before, however Eva Palace met and far exceeded any expectation we initially had for the experience. The welcome we had was fabulous with attentive hosts from the off-set (I believe our hostess’ name was Maria and she made us feel incredibly special and welcome to be here). Nothing was too much to ask, all were hugely hospitable and very accessible, and this really set the precedence for the rest of our stay, with the staff constantly being on hand to assist with our every request, question and general chat! We had read in previous reviews that the staff really make this place special, and that’s exactly what we found. We really cannot stress enough how fantastic the team here are. We had particularly fabulous service from Anastasia, Maria and a lovely young lad who’s name we sadly didn’t quite catch, who ended up looking after us during most lunches at La Contessa, and who also made our final evening of our Honeymoon wonderfully memorable with the most romantic setting and dinner; we couldn’t thank them enough. And of course the other team members who’s names are too numerous, but who attentively welcomed us to breakfast and dinner every day, who guided us with answers to our many questions at reception, and the staff at the Pool and Beach bars who grew to know our orders without so much as us hinting (two pina coladas again?!) The facilities are beautiful, clean and well catered. Our room was neatly serviced every day and our initial welcome, adorned with rose petals, Greek honey, baklava and sparkling wine, was just amazing and really set our honeymoon off to a wonderful start. The beach in the bay feels exclusive and has water sports facilities on site as well as at the bay for the Imperial and Lux Me Daphnilia, which again are easily accessible, both on foot and by the hotel’s very own boat that makes several runs between sites across the bay daily, and feels incredibly exclusive to be on! Even the bus drivers who run daily trips into Corfu town on the hotel’s upscale minibus are fantastic fun! Corfu itself is absolutely stunning, the locals friendly and hospitable, and is well worth visiting no matter what. If there was one word of caution we could give for the resort however, it would be the stairs! There are a lot of them between the hotel to the pool to the beach and back again! But this is really offset by the plush garden surroundings, the sounds of the local wildlife and the reassurance that you can burn off some calories between the fabulous meals! It might make accessibility difficult for some, however. Personally for us it wasn’t an issue. Really we could write a short story of how amazing this resort is, but any writing on a Trip Advisor review could never truly do it justice; you really have to go and find out for yourselves! We can’t wait to return, and hopefully one day we will.

This is a fabulous hotel with amazing views. We had a lovely room with sea view & small balcony. We arrived late to have a bottle of bubbly & some food in the room which was really appreciated. Unfortunately we spent most of the next morning waiting for staff to tell us where everything was. We were given nothing on arrival. A map could have saved a lot of time. One thing we did not realise how many steps down to the pool and then to the beach. There were no sunbeds near the hotel. Even if there were you could only eat at restaurant near the pool for all-inclusive or comfort package as they call it at lunch time. Very disappointed you could not eat at the beach without paying. You could have a drink. Never come across this before on all-inclusive. It was extremely hot. Hotter than we have had in Corfu in June so could have done with a few less steps and slope's. The food was good but not much choice especially at lunch time. Don't understand some reviews saying there was. There was practically no veg. Plenty of salad which we love but no mayonnaise. The food & drinks were very expensive if on bed & breakfast or half board. The hotel has nothing around it apart from sister hotel & small on site shop. The wine with the meal we were never given a menu & didn't realise you could have a bottle till near end of the holiday. They were very mean with the glasses of wine and sometimes difficult getting a refill. The food highlight was a fantastic meal in the Steak & Sushi restaurant. We had a really lovely meal by the pool. Not so good the walk back up. All the entertainment was down there as well. We usually got a sunbed by the pool but never at the beach. Feel there were not enough sun beds at either the beach or the pool. Many with towels on and never removed. Be careful of the cactus plants I only sat on a chair near pool bar & got a lot of the needles in my bottom which were extremely painful. I thought I had been stung. I was not the only one met 2 other people it had happened to as well. I think they are very dangerous with young children about. Had a lovely holiday but not sure if we will go back with the steps in the heat.

Great hotel, lovely rooms and the view from our balcony was fantastic, the staff are amazing and will do anything to make your stay one to remember, this holiday was for our 10th wedding anniversary and when we got here we had an anniversary cake and a bottle of fizz waiting in our room, around the pool we Maria getting our drinks for us every day and she was amazing, after only 2 days of being there she knew what we wanted and had it waiting for us every morning, the same goes for Spiros who works in the pool bar in the evening, he's was so funny, a lovely lad and was always joking around with us, Maria and Spiros definitely made our holiday even more special

Firstly the positive points. The hotel is in an unenviable situation on top of a hill, looking down on two bays, and the view was stunning. The reception / cocktail bar was a really high standard, with an open view balcony 180 degrees view of the bays. Simply stunning. Next the dining area, food and staff. It was faultless. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was plentiful, varied, and of a very high standard for a buffet (the best I've ever had). The only problem, was that we had to wait for coffee sometimes in the morning. The beach was stunning. You need to get there early to gey the better quality sun beds. Well laid out, sandy, with a great bar and food service. The waiters were so friendly and helpful. The toileting facilities were superbly situated, clean and well functioning. There was also a changing room (2) and a shower. The path down to it was steepish, so not suitable for those with mobility issues. However, it was gradual, but a number of steep steps near the top, which you need to be careful navigating. You certainly got a good workout when you climbed back up to the hotel. The pool which was halfway down from the hotel was clean, and there was plenty of scope for swimming and paddling. There was a bar there and the waitresses came around asking whether we wanted drinks. There was also a convenience shop near the pool (get your water there. It's cheaper). The entertainment was of a good standard, mainly singing, and very chilled. The room we were in was quite dated, and there were a lot of minor things which showed a lack of planning and needed a refurb but adequate with a good view. The fridge worked well as did the air con, and the bed was very comfortable. The cleaning was a bit hit and miss, and on occasion the cups hadn't been cleaned, the nespresso capsules not always replaced, a hand towel was missing, and sometimes no beach towels. The bedside tables very tiny and without drawers. On the whole the one lady who did our room was lovely and extremely helpful. Now for the negative: the reception / guest services staff. We arranged a taxi for six, to take us to Danilia village (complimentary), and a taxi turned up with only four spaces. I had made it clear that I had booked a taxi for six. They then provided another taxi, so it was sorted. The other problem we had was that we arranged a taxi to take the six of us to Aqualand. The guest service lady booked it and said the charge was 60 EUROS which we thought was a good price, similar to what we used to go to Corfu golf course. This was for a 5 mile journey, which took less than 15 minutes. When we arrived back at the hotel after Aqualand, the driver then told us that it was 60 EUROS each way i.e. 120 EUROS! We were shocked at the cost and complained to the manager. We now know they hike up the prices with the taxi service that the hotel uses. My advice is to arrange your own (much cheaper) taxi yourself. After explaining the faux pas by the hotel we got the refund on our account. So yes, all in all we had a great holiday. What we learned is to get the staff to put it in writing (they do use What's app), to avoid these poor errors of communication.
