I have been returning to this hotel for years and I don't recognise the negative reviews. This is an excellent family run hotel with obliging and friendly staff and high standards. Any room we have stayed in was ultra clean and well maintained daily. Hotel bar and restaurant provided decent menu and quality food. The majority of rooms overlook the harbour and beyond to Pantokrator Mountain over the bay. There is a street cafe attached to the front of the hotel. We expect value for money and we have always had a genuinely pleasant stay at this hotel.

“Established, functional and quirky.”

A well established and smoothly running hotel. Basic, but like so many in Corfu, it is clean and the staff are helpful. Breakfast and the bar area are very sociable. Being well positioned too, nothing is more than a short walk away, I would stay here again

Ah, the Atlantis Hotel, Corfu—a charmingly eccentric establishment that could well be mistaken for the set of a Netflix thriller. In fact, if you’ve seen Cecil Hotel, you might get a sense of déjà vu. The comparison? Where to begin? The faint whiff of mystery (or was it mildew?) that greets you as you enter your room, the aircon that could easily double as a Victorian ghost-summoning device, and the lift—oh, the lift! It’s like a relic from another era, suitable for a romantic ride if you’re on close terms with your travel companion. Very close. Now, don’t get me wrong, the hotel is good… if you’re after a bit of a ghostly adventure. The cleanliness, let’s say, wasn’t the star of the show. The air in my room was a special mix of eau de ancient history and something that would likely trigger an asthma attack if you so much as glanced at the air conditioner. Ideal if you’re testing your lung capacity, not so ideal if you’re not. But, dear fellow traveller, I digress. The pièce de résistance of the Atlantis? Its location. You’re a stone’s throw from the dock—perfect for a quick escape should things get too spooky. I stayed here as a pit stop on my way to Albania and can confirm it’s ideal for one night of ghost hunting (or maybe two if you’re into that sort of thrill). In summary: not for the faint of heart, but utterly delightful if you’ve ever fancied yourself a paranormal investigator with a penchant for old-world quirkiness. Would I stay again? Perhaps, if I had my sage and holy water on hand.
