We’ve just got back after a week at the Apollonion Asterias, staying half board. As a couple in our mid to late thirties, this was all we needed and more. The rooms were clean, the food was excellent quality with a variety of options to suit those who wanted a more authentic Greek culinary experience and those who are more comfortable with familiar food. The house white wine was pretty awful though so I would avoid that. Staff were friendly and helpful, despite the long hours and the heat. Our main gripe with the hotel was a relatively minor one and was more to do with the guests than the hotel itself. At the bigger pool, you do not get a lounger unless you go down super early. This is because many guests (fellow Brits contrary to the stereotype) reserve loungers with towels super early, despite signs advising not to do this. This could be better enforced. In an ideal world, the larger pool would be adults only since the smaller pool has slides and various facilities for kids. Overall though it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend it.

“Amazing family vacation!”

It was a great experience in this amazing hotel! The staff was amazing, food was incredibly delicious, and overall the hotel was clean, friendly people, perfect for vacation. Special thanks to Gabriela from the main restaurant which was an amazing friendly person :)

This hotel is absolutely beautiful from the rooms to the views and the pools . Staff are the most friendly and helpful people who made our holiday a memorable one. They all work so hard to make sure you are catered for in every respect. There was a massive choice in the evening dining hall , the pool bar has the best selection and the staff are so lovely. The evening music bar was lovely and relaxing and the service was outstanding ( I will miss you guys ) thankyou so much for our shots just before we went to bed at night . The restaurants you could book separately the food portions were huge . The guy looking after the pool did a brilliant job keeping it clean and tidy. . The guys in the pool bar were the best, so funny and polite . All in all a fantastic holiday and we look forward to returning. Thankyou all so much 💓 Sharon, Matthew, Aimee and luke

This is our 6th year at the Apollonian Asterias and the hotel complex doesn’t disappoint, the premium rooms though are sadly not quite being maintained to its 5 star rating. This is our 6th year at the Apollonian Asterias and the hotel complex doesn’t disappoint, the premium rooms though are sadly not quite being maintained to its 5 star rating. Several of the drawers in the wardrobes were broken and there were some mouldy and poor sealant repairs in the bathrooms. Since 2019 each year the food quality has dropped, and whilst it is reasonable it is not 5 star quality. I fear the food budget is being cut each year as it’s the same head chef. Very disappointed with the Greek restaurant on site the food was quite poor and definitely not A La Carte. The Italian is better but again not A La Carte. The staff are wonderful, on occasion though the top Asterias bar lacks staff so getting a drink can take time. This year there was one particular staff in the Asterias pool bar who was quite rude to many people and all in our party on different occasions, though I think someone had complained as week 2 he seemed to be making more effort with people. He actually threw a cardboard drinks tray at me when I politely asked for one as I had 4 drinks. The housekeeping staff were fabulous as usual and I’d just like to single out Vana, she was just brilliant, her cleaning was impeccable and she was such a lovely person. Despite our difficulty conversing, I have very limited Greek and she little English, we managed and she was wonderful when our daughter and her boyfriend used our room as they had a late checkout, bringing us extra towels for them. (Twice due to the Manchester Airport power cut they ended up staying an extra night) Vana and I hugged as we were leaving and I hope to see her on my next visit. I love the hotel and staff but would just ask them to not rely on your fabulous rating if you want to keep it the food quality needs to return to that of 2019.
