We were staying at another hotel in Kefalonia and stayed here 1 night to see what the new suites with private pool were like. Firstly, many thanks to Sassa for arranging this and Maya during our stay. What a warm friendly welcome we received. In fact all the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The room was outstanding. Spacious, comfortable furniture, well equipped with fridge and coffee machine. Lovely large bathroom. Comfortable bed with topper. The outside and the pool exude luxury and comfort with spectacular sunset views. Very comfortable seating and sunloungers. Beautiful pool to cool down in. I had the most wonderful massage care of Olga as the hotel has a lovely spa. The key for me is the peace. It is so quiet, you can relax properly. Breakfast was lovely in a bright room with comfortable seating. There was a good choice and there was a relaxed feeling to it all. We checked out reluctantly and had already booked next year's holiday here before we left 😊

Absolutely fantastic holiday staying at this family run hotel. The hotel was renovated this year so the rooms are modern and spotless. The staff at the hotel were warm and welcoming from the minute we arrived. With only 30 rooms the hotel feels very friendly and relaxing. There used to be a beautiful pool with sunbeds - we never had trouble finding free sunbeds. The restaurant stays open all day for snacks and drinks. There is a small but very pretty private beach by the hotel and lovely walks along the coast line where we saw seals swimming. The food in the hotel was very reasonable and we often ate there of an evening. The hotel is a bit isolated - which we liked for the peace and tranquility . The hotel can help arrange car hire - which we did to explore the beautiful Island We will definitely return to this hotel next year. Thank you to all the staff for making it such a lovely stay. 👍 Also to Brian the cat for our daily visits 🐈

“Brilliant family holiday”

We stayed at Hotel Limanaki for 7 nights at the end of August on a half board basis. We’re a family of 4, 2 daughters aged 8 and 5 and we stayed in one of the rooms with a pool on the terrace and we all loved it (especially my 8 year old). We stayed at Hotel Limanaki for 7 nights at the end of August on a half board basis. We’re a family of 4, 2 daughters aged 8 and 5 and we stayed in one of the rooms with a pool on the terrace and we all loved it (especially my 8 year old). Short 15 minute or so transfer from the airport to the hotel, we were at the hotel within an hour of landing! The room has recently been upgraded and was lovely, well looked after and the bathroom and shower were really nice. We had a double pull out sofa bed that the girls slept on and a super kingsize bed for me and my wife. The breakfast was scrumptious (especially the apple strudel), fresh fruit, cereals, toast, croissants, variety of hot foods along with juices and a coffee machine and tea making facilities. We had lunch a few times over the week, nice selection of toasties, sandwiches, chips, hot dogs etc. Dinner was delicious and the staff were all brilliant, really nice and accommodating (my daughter’s are both quite fussy eaters), regularly adapting meals on the menu for us to suit them. The Greek salad to share was a favourite of ours. There are many pasta dishes, burgers, chicken and seafood dishes etc and as mentioned, the staff had no problem adapting any of these for us. We spent every day bar 1 around the hotel, splitting our time between the beach in the morning, the pool at our room and the main pool (as mentioned in previous reviews, never feels too busy and never have a problem getting a sun-bed). We visited Argostoli one morning, reception sorted a taxi out for us (which was 8 Euros one way) had a walk along the harbour and saw the turtles, visited the shops and had an ice cream in one of the many cafes. We’ll definitely visit Argostoli again on our next visit. The beach is so nice, we saw the monk seals many times in the mornings and managed to see them when we were snorkelling as well. The views from the beach / our room were stunning as you can see in the photos… We’ve already booked for next August for 10 nights this time and we all can’t wait to return.

“All in all an excellent place to stay & good value for money”

In Greece you sometimes get either a very basic small hotel or a huge multi-storey monstrosity with 1000 rooms. The Limanaki is perfectly placed between the two extremes. With about 30 bedrooms/suites, a lovely bar, a fabulous terrace & pool and even it's own little beach, the Limanaki gave us one of our best ever holidays. We were in room 217, facing the pool and over the dining area. This had us a bit worried befoire we arrived in case it was noisy - but we couldn't hear a thing unless we sat our our balcony which faced the mountains, and even then it was just the murmur of conversations. The room was very comfortable & modern and although the bathroom was quite small it had a great shower and again was very modern. The housekeepers kept it spotlessley clean and supplied towels and fresh bed-linen every couple of days. Breakfast was very good with a big selection of pastries, fruits, cereals, cheese, meat etc. As you'd expect there was yoghurt and honey as well as a sweet rice pudding with cinamon. There was also a couple of hot items such as eggs, bacon, sausages, fritata most days. A good selection of breads was also available. The pool was fantasic. Despite the hotel being full we never struggled to find a couple of sunbeds (no towels reserving empty beds here) and the pool never had more than half a dozen people in it. We only went Bed & Breakfast but we ate in the hotel a few times at lunch and dinner. Food was simple but very good and pretty much all home made. A great selection of drinks was available from the bar although these felt a little pricey - but not too bad. Every member of staff was excellent, professional and friendly. For us the location was perfect - away from the usual shops and bars in the resorts but only a nice walk or a short taxi ride from Argostoli or Lassi. We found the most pleasant walk was around the coastline past the lighthouse and 'sinkholes'. It's a bit further but flatter and no big hills to climb like the other recommended ways. All in all we found this to be an excellent place to stay and good value for money. The owners clearly care about keeping the standards high and can be seen sweeping, cleaning and tidying around the grounds all the time. If you're after a relaxing place to stay whih isn't too far from other facilities this is the place for you.
