“Very relaxing short stay”
Our stay here was relaxing and calm.. the staff couldn't do enough to make our stay an enjoyable experience. Everything from the lovely clean rooms (calming decor) to the lovely continental breakfast and very lovely evening meal was our pleasure. Our dog was welcomed, and she felt as much at home… more

“Friendly hotel”
A lovely seaside hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and ready to help with any question. The breakfast is delicious and very good value. A very enjoyable stay, I would recommend to anyone and will happily stay again.

“Highly recommended!”
Well located for ferry, brilliant side beach 5 mins drive. Bar with sea view. Rooms good and breakfast. All staff very helpful. Parking good, convenience food store opposite. Only criticism restaurant shut on weekends. Apart from that a top experience would highly recommend.

“Friendly hotel in beautiful Normandy.”
What a great, friendly staff. Convenient spot in Cherbourg near the coast just 2k west of the city center. Le Comptoir Libanais (Lebanese) and La Regence (French) are two great spots to eat. “OK for one night”
We only stayed here at the Shelder Hotel for one night, I'm pleased it wasn't longer, the room was very small, the bed seemed lumpy, the bathroom was barely big enough to get in, and not a great breakfast either, but it is a cheap place to stay, with good parking.
