“Lovely hotel and perfect spot for D-day trip”
We booked a 1 night stay with brekkie and parking. Checked in around 8:30 and was reasonably quiet. Check in was super fast and staff were lovely and polite. Our room was lovely and clean. We booked a 1 night stay with brekkie and parking. Checked in around 8:30 and was reasonably quiet. Check in was super fast and staff were lovely and polite. Our room was lovely and clean. Bed was quite big and comfy. Only issue with the room which is more personal preference is no kettle but a coffee pod machine and being from England I love a cuppa but could not get it to work right and just spat hot water everywhere. Bathroom was lovely with a shower and again very clean. We stopped in the restaurant for tea and again was really nice. Waitresses were really helpful in translating and recommending. I had a mushroom pasta dish and hubby had the pork. Both were very good. Brekkie was continental and was what you would expect. Would stay again.

Stayed at the Sure Best Western Caen Memorial for 4 nights early February in room 223. The room was on the top floor and was clean and modern, everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable and large, coffee making facilities in the room. A lovely walk in shower with all washing toiletries, hair dryer and towels changed on request. Hotel in a fantastic location for visiting all Normandy WW sites by car, free parking onsite in large car park. Very friendly and helpful staff at the hotel. Really enjoyed our stay at the Caen Memorial and would definitely stay here again.

What a fantastic stay! We stayed with a large group that was attending the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Verhtung and his staff went to enormous lengths to make our stay special. The rooms were spacious to European standards and had all been recently updated. Both the buffet breakfast and dinners exceeded our groups high expectations with a special surprise on both elegance and taste. But most of all, the staff was superb. From Maxime at the desk to Theo in the bar and of course Nolene, Alexandra and Myriam in the restaurant, each one of them took great effort in ensuring our stay was special. Bravo friends - We will be back again!

I have just returned from taking fifty veterans to Normandy for the 80th commemoration of the battle for Hill 112.We stayed at the Sure Hotel. We could not fault the Hotel. We arrived late at night but the hotels organisation was excellent there was no delay before everyone as issued with their key and were off to bed. The rooms were spotless and contained every thing required for a short stay. The beds were perfect not one complaint from over fifty guests. Breakfast for a budget hotel was exceptional It provided every thing that anyone could wish for. On the first morning we had an early start and our packed lunches were not quite ready so rather than delay us the hotel delivered the lunches to us at our picnic location over twenty miles away. Overall the whole party agreed that the hotel had been the right choice and all agreed that should we go again we will stay at the Sure Hotel. Thank you very much indeed for a great stay

“Comfy beds, open plan, newly refurbished”
Inspired by DDay 80th Birthday celebrations decided to go last minute. Have been unwell but booked train, taxis, ferry & this hotel. Taxi from Ferry to hotel & too early or late. Inspired by DDay 80th Birthday celebrations decided to go last minute. Have been unwell but booked train, taxis, ferry & this hotel. Taxi from Ferry to hotel & too early or late. Modern hotel that has had a refurb so quite open plan. Asked if they could keep our bags & they kindly did. Not feeling well walked towards the Caen Memorial but stopped by the peace garden & stayed there. Beautiful gardens & events going on. Returned in the afternoon & had to wait for the room. Thought booked pool room but seems not will check next time. Small twin, beds super comfy. Shower & toilet small looked new. Ideally will have room alone. Rooms all booked out when we left. Best thing is breakfast £12 euros and fab buffet which I miss now! Continental breakfast style with everything from cereals to fruit salad & yoghurts to mimi pain au chocolat & croissant, cheese, ham etc. Warm scrambled eggs, bacon. Restaurant lunch & dinner is great. I loved the food. Modern French/international. Normandie cheese I love. Staff & chef very friendly, warm & generous. It has a family atmosphere but I don’t think it is a family. Definitely going to go back. There is a pool but forgot my swimming costume & it was a bit cold still. The hotel is great location for Caen memorial which takes 4 hours and is very informative, historical & important. Shocked Hitler is on loudspeaker thinking about what to do.
