“Handy hotel ”

Comfortable mid range hotel , very well placed in centre of town , lots of bars , restaurants all close at hand , good transport links . Rooms were clean , comfortable and warm , breakfast was good , handy hotel bar for that late night final drink .

The Hotel has three stars outside but I assume this relates to the sister Mercure hotel that is next door but part of the same building. The Hotel has three stars outside but I assume this relates to the sister Mercure hotel that is next door but part of the same building. The room we had was meant to be a twin but in all honesty it was more like a single room. Storage is very limited and the bathroom was very tired and dated looking. The Hotel bar shuts early and may not open at all so you may struggle for a nightcap if one takes your fancy. The good points of the hotel are the underground parking that they have (make sure you book it) and the breakfast was great, the lady who looks after the breakfasts is really helpful. Location wise the Hotel is a good central location and most places are a walk. Comparing it to the premier inn we stayed at in the UK en-route, the premier inn was miles better and 40 pounds cheaper per night.
