“Charming little place”
This little hotel is more like a Bed & Breakfast! The proprietors are attentive and keep the property immaculate. We ate in the dining room for several meals and it was really good. This little hotel is more like a Bed & Breakfast! The proprietors are attentive and keep the property immaculate. We ate in the dining room for several meals and it was really good. The rooms were comfortable. Caen is a very special place, easy to navigate and full of charm. The hotel is walking distance to a top notch boulangerie (Bon Ble) and a well-stocked market. I highly recommend getting picnic foods and wander around the city.

Le Savoy is a wonderful Hotel , It is not posh but has all you need , The rooms are tidy and the beds are very comfortable my room had a small but adequate bathroom with a shower , There was a television and very good internet provided free , As a group my friends and my wife and I had breakfast and evening meals , The breakfast was continental but the evening meals were fantastic , The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble for them , We have stayed at this Hotel before but this was the first time under the present ownership and it has to be said they are making a great job of it , My friends and I will definitely stay at Le Savoy again in the future

“Friendly staff and reasonably priced”
Clean, reasonably priced and very helpful and friendly staff. Good advice on where to eat and what to do and see. Good sized rooms and excellent bathrooms. Conveniently located between Paris and all parts of Normandy.

“Spoilt by no air conditioning. Otherwise excellent”
Hotel was easy to find and the owner was very kind as we arrived late and tired. He even stood in a car parking space outside the hotel so that my partner, who has walking diffculties, didnt have far to walk. Room nice and clean and there was a lift which for us was essential. Hotel was easy to find and the owner was very kind as we arrived late and tired. He even stood in a car parking space outside the hotel so that my partner, who has walking diffculties, didnt have far to walk. Room nice and clean and there was a lift which for us was essential. However..... it had been a hot day the room was warm. We cooled it down by opening the window but the street outside was noisy with traffic. We went to bed and woke up very hot. The only way to cool down was to open the window and I just couldnt sleep with the road noise which was continuous. We live in the country and just arent used to that level of noise. Even in the middle of the night there was the occasional vehicle. A fan was provided in the room and that helped a little. Nevertheless because I had no sleep due to the traffic noise our 600km drive to our home in South France was a real effort. Breakast was great. Check-out was good, but oh what a pity about the lack of air con. We recommend this hotel but DO get a room at the rear if you are used to couintry quiet like we are.
