We had a great experience here on our way to the tunnel, visiting Bayeaux and the Normandy beaches. We had a lovely family room which was perfect for four. The hotel has really good food. Breakfast is great but also be warned, much off Caen is closed on a Sunday so we ate at the hotel and it was really good - including veggie and vegan options. Finally the staff were exceptional. Two of the team - Linda and Fabian - were particularly friendly and super helpful so big thanks to them. Would highly recommend - particularly as a stop off en route to LeShuttle.

“Superb clean and central”
Friendly staff, very clean and comfortable and very central. Surrounded by restaurants and cafes and only a four minute walk to the port. The latter is bustling with energy and is just one bar or restaurant after another with a great buzz. Great stay

On booking in ,confusion on prices as my son had booked last year and rightly assumed he was paying for two adults per room however that was not the case and additional 200 Euros plus had to be payed on top of the price booked ,this was including breakfast and parking which was a joke we parked in the one and only Disabled parking bay and was told to move it as it didn’t matter where we parked ,on one occasion we could not get parked due to staff parking ,but we had payed for parking for the four nights staff eventually moved their car,Contractors working in the hotel were parking their vans in the car park allocated for residents. On one occasion the room was not cleaned and when reporting this fact to reception was told we were in the room and that the cleaners assumed we did not want the room cleaning this in fact was not true as the room was empty, But the biggest gripe was the Hotel lift it was not operational and in fact was out of order as contractors were working on it and one family member was Disabled and using a Stick ,on booking in 2024 it was stated a 1st floor Bedroom was required this was not provided and was very disappointing ,no help was provided by the reception staff (4 were manning reception on booking in)to help with the baggage up the stairs. On the plus side location to the Caen City Centre was good especially the Breakfast ,evening meals not sampled plenty of excellent Restaurants within easy reach of the hotel

Booked this hotel in August last year and asked for a ground floor or first floor room for a relative with mobility issues who was travelling with the party. We got there only to be told the lift was out of order and would be for the week we were there. We were also told there were no rooms on the first floor, nor was there any effort to find one during the week for my relative. We were shown to the stairs and were left to crack on with the bags. No help offered either. Parking is €15 per day and it’s a bit of a mare to be honest, the dedicated disabled spot is not a disabled spot as we were told it is not used as such. Cars are squeezed in and it is difficult to get in and out. That said, it’s centrally located, clean and has a nice breakfast. Just wish they would have communicated about the lift situation or found my family member a 1st floor room at least during the week.
