“Bike friendly - we will return!”

This is a bike friendly hotel that comfortably accommodated our group of 22 cyclists. Excellent location on a quiet side street but still very central, It is true that some of the upper floor rooms lacked adequate hot water but hopefully this will be fixed when they renovate the upper floor rooms. … more

This is a bike friendly hotel that comfortably accommodated our group of 22 cyclists. Excellent location on a quiet side street but still very central, It is true that some of the upper floor rooms lacked adequate hot water but hopefully this will be fixed when they renovate the upper floor rooms. We really liked that there were only 2 floors with nice wide stairway so it was easy to get bags upstairs. As well we appreciated that even thought it was not yet October 1st, with the cold weather they had heat operating in the rooms so we could get cosy and warm after a chilly bike ride. And as mentioned by everyone: very nice breakfast and super helpful reception staff. We will return!

“A pleasant stay in Bayeux”

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and were very pleased with the accommodations. The location is within walking distance of a delightful town center with multiple restaurants, historical sites and shops. Free parking was easily available. Our room was cozy, clean and the bed comfortable. One thing we really appreciated (and surprised us) was the A/C. It worked much better than air conditioning in hotels I’m used to in the States. The room did need some upgrading. The shower head had to be held by hand as the holding device was broken and better lighting is needed throughout the room. It was a long, steep walk up and down the stairs with our heavy luggage as there is no elevator. We saw these as minor inconveniences though, not at all major hassles. One person did stand out, the young lady at the front desk when we checked in was extremely efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Ramone answered all our questions about the local eateries, went outside to ensure our car was parked in a safe, free area and went through a map of the town to make sure we could find the spot we needed to be to catch our D-Day tour bus. She also called to make restaurant reservations for the guests in front of us and even hauled an iron and ironing board up to our room. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.
