We were extremely pleasantly surprised about the comfort, rooms, cleanliness and friendliness at this hotel. We normally never ever stay at a 3-star hotel, as we’re a 5-star-only family, but we couldn’t find any accommodation in or around Dijon for the life of us, as it turns out Dijon is a major through-town where everyone sleeps for 1 night on their way to a different country. Even the beds weren’t as uncomfortable as many of the other hotels we had stayed at during our multi country road trip. They had 2 pillows, which we didn’t get before in Italy where we previously stayed. Of course, sleeping in twin beds requires training so not to fall out right and left. Had never slept in a twin bed before in my life. ;-) The breakfast was simple, but totally fine, good French croissants, Swiss cheese, good ham, best yogurts we’ve had in a while and strong coffee. Staff was very friendly, unlike what many travelers say about the French. There were 3 restaurants directly opposite and we got a 15% discount for staying at the Holiday Inn. However, the steakhouse was not really a steakhouse in the international sense. Yuck. Hotel is directly off the motorway, which is convenient. No noise in the room. Disliked · Unfortunately, no safe and no mini bar.

“Nice hotel”

Really nice hotel. We stayed for 1 night, came late and didn’t use any facilities except had a nice breakfast. Staff were kind and helpful. And our 2 dogs were welcome as well. Really nice hotel. We stayed for 1 night, came late and didn’t use any facilities except had a nice breakfast. Staff were kind and helpful. And our 2 dogs were welcome as well. So why only 4 and not 5 stars? Because all in all it’s clearly a hotel that’s used a lot, and would benefit from a brush up.

We booked 2 bedrooms, one Queen and one Suite King Bed. The hotel location is just perfect, close to the best Mall of Dijon area. It is an old building but the services are quite good with a Swimming Pool, a Fitness room and a Restaurant/Bar. We tested both and even if the Restaurant was average with fair prices, we were absolutely disapointed by the bad service, a blond hair lady not happy to be there and definitely not happy to deliver a good service. The Menu itslef is short and do not expect fine food there. The Bar, it is exactly the opposite ! A very nice team, happy to be here and to deliver gustes a fantastic services as we had during 3 days. The Cocktail Guy is just fabulous, keep him as much as you can. Hats Off to the Bar Team, we took many drinks just thanks to the very good ambiance. the room it self are quite old even if refreshed but some details like a outdated Aircon system show us quite poor quality for a 4 stars. And again so french, a bath isntead of a ashower, please we are in 2024 ! In short, ideal location and good for a quick stay, nothing more.

Well positioned hotel on the outskirts of Dijon, with ample parking. Not sure if the operators have changed, but huge difference to previous stays. Brusque greeting at reception and protracted debate over our eligibility for IHG benefits. Bedroom dark and depressing with 'one' of every complimentary beverage provided for a couple. No glasses or beakers just a couple of paper cups. Consequently, decided against eating dinner at the hotel. Breakfast was poor, both in terms of food quality and service. Young waitresses too busy chatting to be of assistance. Very sad as had two great stays just a year ago and was genuinely looking forward to a repeat stopover. Holiday Inn Express next time.
