The view and location are amazing, great sitting on the balcony looking at the sea and people watching, but that really is what you are paying for and in my opinion the hotel is somewhat overpriced compared to others in the area. It was very clean and the room was comfortable, lovely bed and good air conditioning in the room. The staff were fine but not the most friendly or helpful (one evening around 10pm I asked at reception to purchase some bottled water for my room and was told this was not possible because the bar was locked!) This is hardly indicative of 4 star hotel service, not even being able to get water! Breakfast was good ( but cost €22 extra each time even when paying around €400 a night.) Mini bar very well stocked and although not cheap, fairly standard price for a hotel. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but that was due to loving the area and the view. I felt that the hotel really did not have any atmosphere, probably because there is no restaurant and the bar is tiny and I never saw anyone use it; I went to use it the first night and they had to switch the lights on for me and unlock it. In summary, the hotel is fine if you don’t mind paying over the odds and want a good base but don’t mind a lack of service and atmosphere. It really felt more like staying in apartments with a front desk, rather than a hotel and certainly did not feel anything like a 4 or even 3 star hotel. I’ll definitely return to this area of Nice but will stay at a different hotel.

The location, view from a room with a balcony, the breakfast and the staff were wonderful! However, the room size was small, and it was difficult to pass the bed to go to the bathroom. The elevator was the smallest that I have ever been in. Only 2 people or 1 person and luggage can fit in it. The biggest negative was the shower/tub. It was the deepest one that I have ever used, which made it very difficult to get in and out of. Given that it is also slippery and has no safety bar, one has to be extremely careful getting in or out of it. Furthermore, it is impossible to not get water on the floor when taking a shower. Ask for a tub mat. If it wasn’t for the dangerousness of the shower/tub, I would return.
