We had a fantastic stay at The Sunrise Diamond Beach Hotel. The service was above and beyond expectations! We went 23rd Jan-13th Feb 2035 ( 3 weeks). We are in our 60’s and went with our 26yr old son and wanted a bit of everything. We enjoyed so much of what the hotel offered. We were welcomed by staff everywhere we went! We went snorkelling with the fantastic reef and saw fabulous fish! The adults only beach area was a peaceful, relaxing place with a beautiful view of the sea, jetty and mountains. We were also at the adults only pool with the great service given by Lifeguard Guard Ebrahim and Bar Tender Ahmed! They were friendly and helpful, anticipating all our needs making our time so relaxing, nothing was a problem. We also took part in Pilates, the Gym, Table Tennis, Aqua Aerobics, a Dance Lesson by the pool and we saw a belly dancer and musicians performing to traditional Egyptian music by the pool bar! Food in the buffet and the 4 restaurants we went to was excellent and delicious with plenty of choice! The staff were friendly and most attentive. We had Vegan and enough Gluten Free alternatives to cater for our needs. Evening entertainment was perfect for us. We enjoyed the bars and cocktails and mocktails. Hossam was a lovey waiter who served us well in a friendly manner in the bars ‘Lattitude’ ‘Velocity’ and ‘Sun Ray’ Hossam played great modern Egyptian club music whilst we had our drinks which he made so well. He also put the football on when asked! I enjoyed the DJ playing great dance music. I felt happy to dance on my own welcomed by staff and other fellow guests I had met at the dance class! I had a massage and enjoyed the Spa facilities: Sauna, Steam Room and Jacuzzi. One of the rooms had an artificial stone wall decorated with hieroglyphs. My room had wonderful menthol and eucalyptus scents and I imagined being in the room with the hieroglyphs as Pharaoh’s wife being pampered! We went to an evening show and saw some great club style dancing! It was really professional! The rooms were very spacious with plenty of cupboard space and a huge shower! The rooms were spotlessly cleaned every day.

A short notice winter sun break. The tui platinum resort looked good value for a little more money. The experience from arrival to departure was flawless. The first truly all inclusive resort we have had the pleasure of. The only money spent was on tips for the excellent friendly attentive staff they are the Jewel of this hotel. Heated pools , a huge selection of bars and the delicious a la carte restaurants all keep you very well fed and watered. The jetty allows access to the edge of the reef and the stunning marine life available to view with gear available to borrow if so desired. A special mention to Ali the "lifeguard" who is so much more and helped make our holiday very memorable. We loved every part of our visit and hope to return one day.

“Great hotel”

Very clean hotel. Immaculate grounds. Good choice of themed restaurants. Wide range of pools including 16+ for adults which was very welcome. All staff very helpful and friendly. Always going above and beyond. Big shout out to Amr Elfekey at the 16+ pool bar. So attentive and amazing cocktails.

Booked hotel separate with Agoda, after seeing the trust pilot reviews of Agoda I was very sceptical! I was worried they would cancel our booking like others. We called the day before to make sure that they had the booking which thankfully they did. Hotel was always spotless, reception staff were so inviting and made us feel very welcome, staff overall were very friendly. Cleaners done an amazing job and always left us towel art on the bed. The room facilities were great, a lovely shower which we appreciated after a long journey! They also had a free mini bar which we loved! The only thing we would suggest is a welcome booklet like many other hotels have, to explain all the facilities during the stay as we felt like there was information which we missed when they took us to the room! There were 5 Al a carte restaurants I believe which you could book as many times as you liked, compared to other hotels you were limited. We tried them all, we loved the Egyptian and Mongolian, the Italian could learn from the other restaurants as the service wasn’t great there, we were left waiting for ages and just left because we were fed up of waiting. The only thing with those restaurants they relied heavily on QR codes which we felt was very cold and we never knew what we needed or could order, we often asked for a paper menu because the QR code didn’t work, and awful for the older generation. We ate daily at the beach bar/ Egyptian restaurant at lunch time, Mohammed always welcomed us and the food was always great! There is adult only beach area + swimming pool, which we used every day and it was perfect, away from the children’s areas, which was nice a relaxing! The staff at the adult only pool were very attentive, always getting you drinks! The beach bar did this in the morning but you did have to go to the bar when you wanted a drink, compared to other hotels were as soon as your drink was empty they would get you a new one! The beach was also on part of the coral reef meaning you can do snorkelling on your door step, bring your own snorkels or you can borrow from the Towel hut on the beach! We only went to the main restaurant for breakfast, despite the amount of staff there, they never asked if they could get you a drink, most spoke very poor English. Entertainment at night was very poor, the acts that they had were poor compared to other hotels in the area. Also the entertainment was never relayed in English, so we had no idea what people were saying. The hotel was not geared up for the English in our personal experience, staff spoke very little English and entertainment was not catered for the English. The hotel is stated a 5 star hotel, we would say that the cleanliness and room is a 5 star, but customer service, food and entertainment needs some work, compared to other hotels we have been in the area. Overall we had a lovely couple of days but a couple of niggles thaty could be improved.
